Some things in this...
The writer interperet's the line about poppy's from a tray as being about heroin. Not realising that poppy's in the uk get sold from trays around rememberance day every year.
They also say Medicine jar was written by Macca as a warnig to the junkies in Wings.

In Paul's Arms!
Poppies used to be sold from trays back during WWII even in the States.

BTW, Medicine Jar was written as an anti-drug song but not by Paul. It was written and sung by Jimmy McCulloch. It was the first song that was not written and sung by Paul. Very ironic though as Jimmy died from a drug overdose. Kind of prophetic.

Way back in the 80s I remember reading an interview Paul did in Playboy saying he saw no harm in Pot and coke. He and Linda had a fairly well-known rep for liking weed.
Everybody's got something to hide 'cept for me and my monkey.

Yeah, I remember that too, and I think I've read excerpts from it but not the whole interview. Since you mentioned it I decided to see if I could find an archived version of it, was able to locate it on the Playboy UK website.

Here's a link to that 1984 Playboy interview with Paul and Linda:

Figure if I leave a link to it then I can read it at my leisure, and so can anybody else that's interested in it.
