Two totally different recordings in different tempos and different keys merged together. Easy enough with computers, but unheard of in 1967. Of course, just because it's innovative doesn't make it a good song, but I still believe it is.

Desert Island iPod? Desert Island Kindle? Doesn't have the same ring to it. [/tangent]

Cheers, Trev. funnily enough it's a bit of a coinsidence that someones bumped this thread 'cause i was thinking about it earlier 'cause i'm reading Philip Normans biog of John and in it while writing about SFF he says 'john's voice artificially lowered by a semitone and sounding warm, nostalgic, even folksy'
