Hi Gang,
It was a tough deal today with the presale. I don't know how many others had problems but I was logged on my home computer and when trying to click the link first got "page not available" and then when it finally connected it connected to a page is busy with a 50 second re-occuring countdown that never connected. Thank god 10 minutes into this thing that I decided to try my laptop as well and would you know it, it connected every time I attempted. I turned down plenty of tickets until I found ones that I took but I did eventually get both shows. Hope all of you had an easier time!!

I just read elsewhere that the pre-sale starts tomorrow (Sat.). Was there an earlier pre-sale that was not advertised at pm.com or AmEx?

Wonder how many fans are still waiting for their *advance notice*? I should check my spam folder to see what's in there.

This is all getting a bit ridiculous isn't it? It stands to reason that you can't have four different groups all taking preference over others.
And it make a mockery of the "real" sale date.

"All the crap tickets that weren't taken by people with better credit cards and better connections than you, go on sale next week."
Put a puppet on it.

 Don't they (not sure who *they* is) hold out some good tickets for the subsequent sale to the "general public"??

I know that has been mentioned before in all these discussions of ticket sales. I'm not sure if I believe it.

the bulk of the tickets will be held for the general sale. Out of all those pre-sales it probably doesn't amount to more than 5 thousand. This is a big stadium where 30,000 plus seats.

as far as taking preference over others. The true fans that have been part of his fanclub since it's beginning should absolutely receive preference over the casual fan or fan not in the club. Just about every major artists has fan clubs and they all receive special pre-sales to make sure that the fans that support their records, projects and tours get tickets.

as far as the Met ticket holders, the problem with the new stadiums are they are selling people the rights to their seats at alot of them which in their contracts includes concerts. So they have first dibs on their seats

Amex is more of a promoter general sale. Usually not the best seats and not a large number in the pool

That's one pretty damn expensive package. With this economy, I would have to opt out even if I had the money.
