I can recomend this book to anyone. It's an attempt to follow the day to day life and work of the Beatles after the split.
It's not all 'off the record' humans being human that's just a lie they've used to try and entice more buyers.
However, i've learnt quite a lot of, tit-bit's. Like the fact Paul had 3 hofner violin basses and one got stolen and John had to make a payout to avoid being sued by 'that fat chick' who he's supposed to have punched on the infamous night he got thrown out of the trouboudour.

There's lot's of quotes about them reforming. Some interviews, one is with Kenny everett with john for plastic ono band. Some reviews for albums good and bad.

I didn't know that he wasn't intending to release any singles off BOTR but changed his mind when it started to slip down the chart! I wonder what would have happened if he didn't.

When ringo left Tittenhurst his garden claims he burnt a lot of stuff belonging to John 'cause 'someone'll only make money off it'.

a-why didn't he just send it to Yoko?
b-Why are people so mean spirited. Yeah. Someone could sell it but Jeezuz what's so f*ckin' bad about that. What the hell's it matter to Ringo? And it just pisses me off that he was more mean spirited about that aspect of it rather than the happiness it would bring people who bought the memorabillia.
I wonder how true the gardener's story is though

What goes around comes around. Ringo burnt John's stuff and Ringo lost a load of stuff when his house burnt down in the 1970's.
With every mistake we must surely be learning.

Which house was that? He was at Tittenhurst till the late '80's from the early 70's?
n.b just to be accurate it was one of the workmen Ringo hired to help move stuff not the garden who provided the story

November 28 1979, a fire destroyed his Los Angeles home. He escaped unhurt, but much of his collection of Beatle memorabilia was destroyed.

Found this snippet on Google.

So the fire saved him the trouble of burning his Beatles memorobilia himself!

God, wonder what was in there?
I never noticed his nose till about six months ago!
