BEATLES legends SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY and RINGO STARR have reportedly hatched plans to head back to the studio together - their first collaboration in more than 10 years.
The pair reunited on stage in New York on Saturday (04Apr09) for David Lynch's Change Begins Within concert in aid of Transcendental Meditation.
The show marked the first time the pair had performed together since a tribute concert for late Beatles bandmate George Harrison in 2002.
And the onstage reunion has sparked fresh rumours that the duo plan to record again, for the first time since MCCartney's guest appearance on Starr's 1998 Vertical Man album.
A source tells British newspaper the Daily Express, "It's been a long time since Ringo played drums on any of Paul's songs, but they've decided they can work together again. They had a fantastic time in New York, and realise they still work well together. They're now getting together later in the year to work on some of Paul's new songs."

As an interesting footnote some footage from the performance was shown this week on Sunrise prompting host David Koch to comment that he didn’t think Starr sounded very good to studio guest Ben Harper.

Harper who had actually performed at the benefit show himself was clearly bemused by the opinion of the accountant and retorted, “You need to clean your ears man”.
