Damn guys, on the west coast (unless you're lucky and can see it live) it isn't airing just yet. Just want to know, what is Paul singing tonight? What is he wearing?!? |

Just found that it is currently on the web at Grammys.com at http://www.grammy.com/GRAMMY_Awards/GRAMMY_Live.aspx Damn, it's just the pre-telecast. Have to wait a couple more hours to see the show on the west coast. Edited by beatlechick, Feb 9 2009, 02:04 AM.

I guess I better not read this thread. I didn't realize that you guys were already seeing the show. I'm on the west coast and still watching the red carpet arrivals. You might want to add "spoiler" to any posts, in case there are others who don't want to know winners or other surprises in advance!

Spoiler ~ Spoiler ~ Spoiler ~ Spoiler I think this is one of the best Grammy ever! I'm with you on Stevie Wonder and the Jonas Brothers singing *Superstitious*. They should have left Stevie sing it by himself. I love Taylor Swift. She has written most of her songs and even appeals to the older crowd. Hope she stays as sweet as she is today. We Want Paul!! OK, now that I have figured out the how to use the Spoiler toggle, thanks to Bill, I will continue to report on the Grammys. After Paul played the entire second side of the Beatles' album Spoiler: click to toggle it was pretty funny when Ringo ran up on stage drunk and started toSpoiler: click to toggle but the real highlight was when the camera caught Amy Winehouse smokingSpoiler: click to toggle and throwing up on Spoiler: click to toggle at her table. Thank God the police rushed in and Spoiler: click to toggle and dragged her screaming from the building. The real catfight broke out when Spoiler: click to toggle accused Miley Cyrus of sleeping with herSpoiler: click to toggle and then started screeching curse words while ColdPlay was accepting their Spoiler: click to toggle for some stupid song that has been on the radio for like 12 years now. Who knew the Jonas Brothers were actually Spoiler: click to toggle based on their reaction to Katie Perry's song 'I Kissed A Girl'? I guess my personal highlight was when Craig Ferguson kissedSpoiler: click to toggle because who really knew that the human anatomy was capable of that?

I guess it's to be expected but the crowd really went wild with the act before Paul (M I A or something like that my girls tell me) and then Paul plays a classic like "I Saw Her Standing There" and it was all they could do to stand up afterwards and applaud for like 15 seconds... EDIT: Jennifer Hudson looked a lot better when she came back out to sing without that dinner napkin on her dress. Edited by fab4fan, Feb 9 2009, 06:18 AM.

Maybe people who organize the Grammy Awards asked him to play something old and he did. In general, people who work with music don't understand music and grammy awards, mtv music awards etc are examples of mediocrity and marketing, in my opinion. The good thing besides Paul was the song played for the McDonalds commercial.

The funny thing is when they sing "pensando nela" that means thinking of her, people understand "salmonella" I hate McDonalds but I love the band... Back in topic, for some reason I think Paul is looking cute these days... People say making love is good for the skin

Apply those expectations in 1964. The crowd goes wild for the Beatles and are merely respectful to someone singing a 45yo song. Some would say that's as it should be. Especially since Paul released one of the best albums of his career last year. |
