Any got any ideas what they'd like the next George release to be. There are two studio albums still to be remastered with bonus tracks. There is also no career spanning greatest hits album. Or maybe you can think of something else in the achives that deserves a proper release. For instance, I'd be interested to see something from the 1974 North American tour despite the talk of it not being all that great.

They are working on an anthology for George. When it will be released though I have no idea.

With every mistake we must surely be learning.

I'm goin' down to Junior's Farm!
I am really hoping for this:

Dark Horse/Extra Texture (Read All About It) 2 CD/1 DVD Set
Disc One:
Remastered Dark Horse
Remastered "I Don't Care Anymore"
A studio outtake or two (if possible)

Disc Two:
Remastered Extra Texture (Read All About It)
A selection of 1974 tour live tracks

DVD:
Audio, 5.1 mixes of both LPs and bonus tracks
Footage of 1974 tour (if possible)

That's my dream. I don't need a career retrospective, unless it includes "Cockamamie Business", "Poor Little Girl", "Cheer Down", "Bangla Desh" (which was criminally not on the Living In The Material World re-issue) and "Horse To The Water".
An anthology would need the above tracks, the iTunes exclusive tracks, the "That's The Way It Goes" remix from the 12" "When We Was Fab" single, the remaining deleted tracks from Somewhere In England and unreleased demos and studio takes.
Visit my blog of album reviews and anything else I can think to put on it here!

I think a reissue of The Best of Dark Horse would be the best way to do it, perhaps with bonus tracks from the albums that weren't included and, as Dan suggests, That's the Way it Goes and Horse to Water.

I've heard a bootleg of George's 70s tour - can't remember the year, and even allowing for the poor recording quality, it sounded pretty awful. Far too much reliance on the horn section.

I'm a bit surprised Extra Texture hasn't come out yet. It's next on the list and it's been a while.
Put a puppet on it.

I've got Horse to Water on a Jools Holland album. Does it appear anywhere else?

That's the only place I've ever seen it.

I'd like to see an Anthology with outtakes, demos, and remixes.
I've already got all the legit releases of all his albums on cd...

I think we should have a career retrospective Best Of. There's never been one just The Best Of George Harrison which is half Beatles songs and only goes up to 1975 anyway and The Best Of Dark Horse which covers 1976 - 1989 and has long been deleted.

Heres my suggestion for a new one, 16 tracks a side double CD. Couldn't think of a running order so they're just cronoligical. The choice aren't nessaserily my favorites just what I feel are representative of his career.

1. My Sweet Lord
2. Isn't It A Pity
3. What Is Life
4. All Things Must Pass
5. Bangla Desh
6. Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)
7. Living In The Material World
8. Ding Dong Ding Dong
9. Dark Horse
10. You
11. This Song
12. Crackerbox Palace
13. Here Comes The Moon
14. Blow Away
15. Faster
16. All Those Years Ago

17. Wake Up My Love
18. That's The Way It Goes
19. Gone Troppo
20. Dream Away
21. Cloud Nine
22. This Is Love
23. When We Was Fab
24. Got My Mind Set On You
25. Handle With Care
26. Cheer Down
27. Poor Little Boy
28. Cockamamie Business
29. Horse To Water
30. Any Road
31. Stuck Inside A Cloud
32. Brainwashed

Anyone else got any other suggestions?

I actually love your list, but I might a add:

If Not For You
Beware of Darkness
Looking for My Life

Maybe, it's just that I really like these, but I also think they are very George.

I'm sure there are others we're missing.

If we did that, I'd cut it down to a single disc:

1. My Sweet Lord
2. What Is Life
3. Bangla Desh
4. Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)
5. Dark Horse
6. You
7. This Song
8. Crackerbox Palace
9. Blow Away
10. All Those Years Ago
11. When We Was Fab
12. Got My Mind Set On You
13. Any Road
14. Stuck Inside A Cloud
