Someone next door pointed out how eerily similar it was to Ringo's computer art. Posted ImagePosted Image Ringo Starr to Sell Art for Charity From RollingStone.com Ringo Starr will sell his own artwork starting tomorrow at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida. Each item is hand-signed by the drummer, with all of Ringo's proceeds benefiting the Lotus Foundation. Additionally, Ringo and his All-Starr will perform at the Hard Rock on July 3rd. Buyers who purchase $2,950 worth of artwork will receive a free ticket to the show as well as the opportunity to meet Starr at a VIP reception earlier in the day. Starr began creating art while on tour in the late 90's. The collection that will be appearing at the Hard Rock is titled "Abstract Face." From Ringoart.com JUST RELEASED For the first time, Ringo is featuring his entire collection of computer artwork in a new limited edition book entitled, "Painting is My Madness". Containing candid photos of Ringo and his art and including personal photos from his wife, Barbara Bach, the book also features Ringo's humorous and insightful musings. Limited to only 3,000 copies, there will also be a special collectors deluxe hand signed edition that includes an 8" x 10" Ringo's artwork. The hand signed deluxe book is limited to only 200 copies. The regular edition is $35, the signed deluxe edition is $400. |
