I'm goin' down to Junior's Farm!
Anyone else as excited for this as I am? I love this oddball, avant-garde stuff and I really enjoyed the other two Fireman albums, so this will be an exciting release. Apperently, it's listed on Barnes & Noble's website here.
"Electric Arguments"...love the title. Should be fun. Can't wait for November 18th!

I don't own any of "The Fireman"'s other albums, but I will definitely be buying this (and hoping that it leads to re-issues of his previous work with Youth - I'm not paying upwards of $50 for second hand copies!) and have been scouring amazon for the past few weeks looking for a release date - and now we have it!

Well the only way I heard them was by getting "Strawberries..." off of iTunes and I got "Rushes" through some (cough) illegal manner...

"Rushes" is just awesome, but "Strawberries..." is a little tedious. It's just remixes of the same track. I would love to get hard copies, but yeah, the prices on eBay are terrible. Neither album is so great that you should spend $50 on it, especially "Strawberries..." At the BeatleFest in April, I saw a CD copy of "Strawberries..." for $40 and a vinyl copy of "Rushes" for $60! I certainly hope this new one is a lot easier to get.

Agree that the one to own is Rushes. Love it. (Used to own Strawberries but can't find it; guess i recycled it in a previous purge.) Anyway, if the new one is as good as Rushes, count me in. I'll wait to read reviews from folks before I take the plunge though.

The thing about Strawberries.... is that it was never meant to be an album. It was intended as a 3 or 4 track 12". Youth did eight mixes and Paul couldn't choose between them and decided to release them all. It's really a very LONG single.

I've already got Rushes, and judging from the reviews of Strawberries Oceans Ships Forest, I think that was a good choice
It's been lovely, but I have to scream now

Yes I saw yesterday about this album somewhere online. I'm excited too. It's going to be a little bit electronic, it seems...

It sounds like this is going to be more of a McCartney album than an anonymous instrumental album.

So, what do you guys think of this new track, "Nothing Too Much, Just Out of Sight"? I've seen the words "brilliant" and "awesome" tossed around freely on other sites, but after six or seven listens, I think it's a very meager endeavor, especially for someone like Paul McCartney.

By what standard could this thing be considered brilliant or awesome? The words become meaningless. I don't understand...

people are passionate my dear. It's not brilliant at all.

I think there's always going to be a large "Paul is a genius" contingent who will praise everything he does, no matter what.

I was surprised to hear lyrics on this one but the record shouldn't be compared to Paul McCartney albums. That's why he puts his experimental stuff out under pseudonyms.
