Well, since I now have a fan, I will post another! This was Sean's first single. His debut into the music world came at the age of six, reciting a story on his mother's 1981 album Season of Glass. From childhood into his teen years Sean continued to collaborate with his mother, contributing vocals and receiving production credit on her solo albums It's Alright (I See Rainbows), Starpeace and Onobox. Sean Lennon - 'That's Alright' (2.27) I just realized that the song is called 'That's Alright' and is from the Yoko Ono album 'It's Alright (I See Rainbows)'. |

I have the Wikked Lil Grrrls CD by Esthero, with that song on it. Great listen that CD, I recommend it. My favorite Sean songs actually don't appear on his albums, Freaking Out, Paper Plane, and Smoke & Mirrors. |

One more and I have to crash. At sixteen Sean co-wrote the song "All I Ever Wanted" with Lenny Kravitz for his 1991 album Mama Said and plays piano on the track. Lenny Kravitz w Sean Lennon - 'All I Ever Wanted' (4.14) |

Sadly, perhaps, Sean grew out of his 'cute phase' and started recording serious music with Cibo Matto. In 1996 Miho Hatori and Yuka Honda of Cibo Matto were invited by Ono to remix the song "Talking To The Universe" for a Rising remix EP Rising Mixes. They met Sean and invited him to join them on tour as a bass player. This eventually led to Sean contributing to their side-project Butter 08 and to his becoming a member of the group. He continued to play with them on tour, joining them on television and providing bass guitar and vocals on their EP, Super Relax. Cibo Matto - Talking To The Universe (no Sean) (3.50) 1996 Cibo Matto - Butter 08 - 'It's the Rage' (Sean on keyboards) (2:06) 1997 Cibo Matto - 'Je t'aime, moi non plus' (Sean on bass and vocals) (4:20) 1997 Cibo Matto - Super Relax - 'Aguas de Marco' (Sean on bass and vocals) (3:16) Sean may have been under the influence of some bad Mexican cuisine when he performed Cibo Matto's hit 'Sugar Water' (as featured on Buffy the Vampire Slayer) live. Cibo Matto - 'Sugarwater' (Sean in pink wig) (4:00) Here is the official 'Buffy' version: Buffy Soundtrack - Cibo Matto - 'Sugar Water' (with French subtitles) (4:33) One more from Sean's Cibo Matto days. Cibo Matto - 'Know Your Chicken (live on Squirt TV) (Sean on bass) (3:45) |

Love Sean in the pink wig, but MTV's Oddville is stranger than I could think possible. Great song. Nice bass playing on Know Your Chicken. |
