I'm always deeply saddened that the Paralympics don't get as much attention as the Olympics. None of these athletes have million dollar sponsorships and most of them haven't received the ridiculous amount of publically funded training that so many of the normie athletes.

They're champions just for getting there at all. Cheer them on here. ^_^

I just checked out the link you provided, Bill and it is all very impressive. You're right that it's a shame they don't get much coverage. I really appreciate the thought that went in to everthing, from the medal design to their motto. I'll have to look into the scheduling a bit more and see if I can find television coverage.

In Brazil they show the Paralympic Games, maybe because the Paralympic Athletes win more medals than the Olympic ones. It's an interesting thing. These people are champions in life. I'm proud of them. They teach us about life.

I've been watching the games on SBS, our local 'world' channel. I must say it's refreshing not to see the hype, to be honest.
I don't believe in Bondi. I don't believe in rugby league. I believe in Yoko, John Lennon, the Lost Weekend and me.

Why do you say that? Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but are you saying you don't want to see disabled athletes? Disabled people have every right to participate in sports, just as much as the normally abled people. I'm sorry if I'm misunderstanding this, but as a disabled person I kind of find it offensive the people don't want to see people with disabilities play sports.

She didn't say anything of the kind, Molly.

Clare was referring to the hype of the Olympics as compared to the Paralympics.

Thanks, Bill, that's why I said I wasn't sure if I was misunderstanding something or not. Sorry for misunderstanding that.
