Okay, today I went to my first Gay Pride celebration. I'm not gay, but I thought I'd support them and their cause since I know several people (including our dear Shannon, miss ya). I just feel weird, because I've always thought if you go to Gay Pride you are outing yourself. Yeah, I know that isn't true. But can you not be gay and go to a Gay Pride celebration? I feel weird that I went for some reason.

I went to a parade with elephants but I'm not an elephant.
If you read my posts backward there's evidence that Paul is dead.

I am not going sopport Something. because, I know someone who is gay.
Which, I grew up with a few gay girls. One who use to fight with me every time a new girl came to the group home. why, she would start a fight with me was beyond me. I sure wasn't gay. Nor, will I ever will be.

My mother is gay. Does make me gay by association?

Some of my best friends are homosexual. I grew up in Sydney, the gay capital of Australia. You couldn't turn around without being made over by someone who called you 'darling'. I've been to the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras to watch a (male) friend dance on a float wearing nothing but strategically placed feathers. I had no urges to go and dance with him, but it was great fun.

I don't believe in Bondi. I don't believe in rugby league. I believe in Yoko, John Lennon, the Lost Weekend and me.

Oh some of the floats were...er...interesting. I felt so comfortable at the event today. I just don't know how to explain to people that I went, because I did experiment when I was a teen. I think I'm worrying about nothing.

Yes, you are worrying about nothing. I go to a Church that is mostly Gay and have helped people their booth at our Gay Pride Festival. I have also taken part with my Church in the Gay Pride Parade but I am not Gay. I saw lots of straight couples and families at both the parade and festival. So what is the big deal? ^o)

I remember Tom Petty took his wife to a gay pride parade once, I'm surprised Aimee hasn't picked up on that one yet.

I have many gay and lesbian friends. Hasn't hurt me so far and I don't think it ever will.

No offense Molly but.. WOW that is a stupid question, lol.

OF COURSE you can go to a gay pride celebration and not be gay. I've been to several of them.
Why feel weird? They don't bite. They won't turn you gay either.
If anything they will throw a butt load of condoms at you during the parade.
