The old original Beatles Shop is at one end of Matthew Street and right next to the Cavern is the Cavern Walks shopping arcade. The new store "From Me to You" is upstairs, and I have to thank Dani for taking me there, because it is the best one by far.
Well I didn't get to the Casbah or that Beatles shop... guess I'm gonna just HAVE to take another trip to Liddypool again! :innocent:

I should've spent more time near the Cavern Club area...but it was at the end of the tour I was on and we ran for a bus to get a ride back to Albert Dock. Crud! :pinch:

Where we stayed was right across from the albert dock and it was a very short walk to Mathew Street. Peter took me there and the next day I went back. The upstairs store was soooo cool, though there was a bit too much to look at.

If you notice, this is taken from Jayne's car as we enter the roundabout. The white building is the "shelter in the middle of the roundabout." The bank is behind to the right, the firehouse is somewhere behind to the left. The barbershop is down the street to the right. And of course, you all can see, the "blue suburban skies."

We're fine ta, just about recovered but still on a high!

How are you doing now? Hope you're feeling better.

Speke was a very interesting place, we turned up far too early for our houses tour, having driven up from London in record time with no holdups, so we did a tour of the Hall as well.

same here on a high but luckily the sodding elbow takes care of that and brings me down again. i had blisters on me feet with the new trainers wished, i had seen the ones we got last week waterproof with velco attachments as i can t tie laces at the moment; then i wouldnt have been in such a bad mood come 3.00 o'clock. saw your wee lassies singing her head off during the concert.

never done the hall or port sunlight always meant too, of course but when you live thereyou put it off for a rainy day. i must get to see next time.

The guide for our house tour told us that if that Sgt. Pepper bistro couldn't make it in Penny Lane, it must have had terrible food, etc., since so many Beatles fans go there.

Ask me how to recognize a pick pocket and I will tell you I still haven't a clue. Thankfully, Alan knew exactly what to look for or my passport, money, etc. would have been gone.

Good Grief. I just got back from London, today...its been 13 days...and SO MUCH HAS CHANGED!! Where do I even begin????
I probably should be sleeping or something...seeing as I am still on London time...
I have some pictures to add...but since Brian left his camera battery behind in the hotel room...it might be a few days until I can download them.
Tell me...how the HELL do I catch up with all of this????

(and whats with the smilies? and the board? wtf?)

Ask me how to recognize a pick pocket and I will tell you I still haven't a clue. Thankfully, Alan knew exactly what to look for or my passport, money, etc. would have been gone.
that is my sleeping beauty and hero

JAYNE!!! I had a WONDERFUL time in your world!!! Thanks so much for all you did for everyone! We also did 3 nights in Paris, and 5 nights in London...but I have to admit that Liverpool was the most fun for me! It is good to be home, though....
I'm just wondering when I will get tired...or something. :sweet:

Welcome home, Rose. I need to get your phone number so we can chat. Really didn't get to talk to you at the meet up. I was too busy trying to get Peter down to his speedos! Then I was starving.

I'm still on London time and I've been home since Friday night.

Peter, Linda and Mark. I probably took this right before I put my camera down to stare at what Peter is showing Linda.

Thanks, Linda! It was great to actually meet you. I think I missed talking to a few other people, as well.
There just seemed to be so much going on at one time...

Fiona and Andy. Sorry for the glare. It's just the incandescence of Andy's wit that is blinding us.
