Went to a premiere of a locally produced horror film Friday night, Beyond the Dunwhich Horror. It was pretty good, when it will be released I do not know though.

Acting good but unfortunately the music killed the movie for us.

This space intentionally left blank.
Would I Smile? A film by Tamar Yarom about female soldiers participating and refusing to participate in the oppression and violence in the occupied territories.
If you read my posts backward there's evidence that Paul is dead.

Indiana Jones

First, I thought the movie was supposed to be in Peru not in Mexico. :-/

They play Mexican music, not Peruvian. :-/

Pancho Villa and his friends speaking quechua, language of ascient Peruvians. :-/

Another thing, the Chichen Itzá pyramide is in Mexico, not in the middle of Peruvian Amazon. :-/

Ok, the movie is fictional, but, people who don't know Peru, will think that Peru is like Mexico. Peruvian culture is unique, I know both countries and I can say that.

Peruvian Amazon and Mexican Yucatán are 2 different places.

All I saw was a mix of Maya and Inca culture, something disrespectfull that shouldn't happen, not even in the fiction.

Another mistake was Nasca appearing in Cuzco.

Well, next time, Indiana Jones, go to Mexico since people are unable to make something decent about a "different" country. I believe Peruvians are p*ssed off. I would be.

I will have to watch the movie again because I was very shocked with all the crap, I couldn't believe I was watching it. Ignorance is a compliment. Saying that peruvians and mexicans are the same it's like saying that Europe is one huge country and the official language is English. Absurd.

And all that ET crap. The subliminal message is : What Incas, Mayas etc did was supernatural. They wouldn't be able to do what they did if they weren't ETS.

ZERO!

Gone Baby Gone, Ben Afflack's first directing attpment and I must say not a bad one at that. I had just finshed the book, so it was still fresh in my mind, and for the most part they kept pretty close to it. I think it's worthy of buying.

Going to watch that, probably this week, on HBO On Demand.

The Thomas Crown Affair, with Steve McQueen, this evening on TCM. I had never seen it before. It was different than the remake with Pierce Brosnan, which I had seen when it came out. I can't say which was better, as they both had good scenes and interestingly appropriate music. But it was worth the time.

That's why you should watch the original. It's just as great, but only an hour long. That's how long it takes to tell a real story, Peter Jackson!

Anywa,y I got the Criterion release of a French film titled Classe Tous Risque. Freakin' brilliant. It's a great crime thriller about a man who realizes that he can no longer hide in Italy, so he runs back to France...and lots of things get in the way.
