Has anyone ever taken those "hop on, hop off" tour buses (The Original Tour or The Big Bus) around London? Which one is better? |

You used to get a free bag of chips with The Original Bus Tour. |

Although I've always maintained that getting a day travelcard and using public transport is cheaper, faster & much more flexible than the official tour buses, they're all pretty much the same and those who can afford to use them seem to enjoy them. I think the key is getting a good tour guide, in which case you just have to be lucky. There's a thread made by Audrey here somewhere asking about similar things when she came at the end of last year. I'll see if I can find it.

What's the best way to get from London to Liverpool....train? If so, how long does it take? |

I did it many years ago, but on a private booking with a large party after a business conference. Food was a bit naff, but it was OK, and cheap beer/wine was included. Quite good entertainment. Can't say what it's like now. |
