What are the really bad movies that stand out for you?

Firstly, let me explain what I mean by bad -
I thought Johnny English was pretty awful but it's still well produced and reasonably well acted, it's just less than the sum of its parts. So that doesn't count as a BAD film for this exercise.

And I don't mean deliberately bad films like Attack of the Killer Tomatoes which is very good at being deliberately bad.

And I don't mean so-bad-it's-good stuff like Ed Wood.

No, I mean the just plain BAD films that had no budget, one camera and cameo appearances by the boom mic. The kind of thing that channels used to use to fill up 90 minutes of airtime after 2am before the invention of infomercials.

What irredeemably bad films stick in your mind?

One that I still remember is some really trashy flick about snakes called Sssssss.

I read one review saying it was one of the finest comedies ever made, which caused one of my eyebrows to raise.

I haven't seen it, so I can't comment... despite the fact that I appear to be. :P
...and in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.

Would movies like Heaven's Gate, Ishtar and even Spies Like Us count? All three I can't stand. The only good thing about Spies Like Us was the theme song.

The only thing that comes to mind is Dumb and Dumber. I actually saw it in the theaters some years ago. There was nothing in the theatre but a bunch of 12 year old, farting, silly boys. I hid behind a huge bucket of popcorn. It was a painful experience.

Tank Girl is the only movie I've ever actually walked out of. Bloody terrible.

I also recently watched Prairie Home Companion. I wonder why I bothered.
I don't believe in Bondi. I don't believe in rugby league. I believe in Yoko, John Lennon, the Lost Weekend and me.

Yo, Andy, I'm a Xanadu fan. Don't ask me why though. I guess to each their own.

Hey that's fine - I like the song! I like all of the ELO songs from the film - it's just the rest of the film I'm none to impressed with. ^_^

I have no clue why I like it. It's a sentimental favorite of mine. I think probably it's the music, plus I liked Michael Beck (Sonny Malone) and of course, Olivia Newton-John.
It's like I like the Sgt Pepper Movie too. Not sure why though because the plot sucks. I guess it's because Paul Nicholas is in it. :giggle:

YOu see, I didn't think Ed Wood was so bad it was good. I just thought it was bad. Awful. In fact, it is the only film I have ever walked out of in the cinema.

There is a film with Gweneth Paltrow and David Schwimmer called The Pallbearers which I thouhgt was atrocious, and I really wasn't a fan of There's Something About Mary...eugh!

I meant Ed Wood the director, not the biopic. ;)

I just watched Howard the Duck recently, and I used to like it when I was younger. What was I thinking? That movie is horrible.

I think most movies these days, especially the so called "horror" movies.
Though there are some really good movies like Atonement.
I beleive in everything until it is disproved- John Lennon

The Experts. John Travolta and Ayre Gross are Americans in a KGB town designed to look like '50s Americana. Better to spend time in a Siberian gulag than watch this.
