Rose ~ ~ You got tickets or the show? How lucky and wonderful! I am so jealous!! Who all got tickets from here? I've checked my email but never nothing from them other than they were delaying announcing the tickets.

Canceled Best Western and we're back at the original hotel, with a room for two people. Lisa and I may get very close! :D

I can't afford the Marriott, but will make do with the hotel we have.

I don't blame you, I am almost regretting booking the Marriott. But there weren't many available on Expedia and I did it at work as soon as I read the email to say I got tickets. I guess I was too excited and not thinking straight.

Whoooo Hooooo to all those attending the Liverpool 08 concerts. I never heard back from them after the first time they said the announcement date was set back. But then again would I really travel that far? You'd have to knock me out with an iron skillet!! Can't wait for the feedback! lol

I belong to Marriott Rewards, too, but only stay there when they have a deal.

I actually got a better price at our hotel through the hotel's website that I did at Orbitz. Last night, Orbitz showed the hotel as full, so I followed the link posted here earlier and we got a room for 2. Probably will end up sharing a bed, but worse things can happen. I haven't booked any other hotels. One step at a time.

Judy, check your credit card. You may have won tickets. I got three pair. I canceled two, but they have charged me for all three. Now, they are to call me Monday. If they haven't called me when I get up, I will call them.

PM retrollama. She has two standing tickets to sell as far as I know. I don't think she's sold them yet unless she told Sherry she had.

They took money from all three pairs. One has been refunded, but they kept about 15 pounds. Suppose they did the same thing on the other pair. Still cheaper than me being stuck with three pair of tickets at $1,000.

Just a question for everyone who is definitely going to Liverpool for Paul's concert.

Where are you staying and how long will you be in Liverpool?

I'll be staying with a friend outside of Liverpool and will probably be there from May 29 - June 1 (give or take a day or so, I'm not definite yet).

How about everyone else?

2. is the MMT in Liverpool any good? Worth it?

I think it's worth it if you have never been to Liverpool before and want to get an overview of the main Beatles sites. The guides are very good and knowledgeable. That does not get you into the houses of Paul and John. You have to book those through the National Trust.

I always go by train between London and Liverpool, but I don't remember how long it takes.

Virgin has that express train and it's about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs. MMT is great. I might do it again.

Probably arriving on the 30th through the 2nd, London for a couple of days probably on the way home. Not sure where I'm staying yet. Sounds like my plans are firm

I'm staying at the YHA hostel in Albert Dock (most probably, haven't booked yet), from May 30 to June 2. At least that's the plan for now.

Are you looking for tickets, Nat?

I still have two extra pitch tickets, if you are interested... ;)
What a long, strange trip it's been....

What are pitch tickets?
You are standing on the football pitch, so the earlier you get there the closer to the stage you can get.

I think I found a seating chart for the Paul concert...and I finally figured out what 'pitch' seating is!

hope that isnt the case otherwise Im ringing up on Monday and downgrading to pitch standing so I can get front row - I aint paying sooo much for being 'next' to the stage rather than front row

Thanks for the seating chart Rose. They are charging a lot for those tickets. How on earth did they get so many to sell?

I wasn't really concerned about the ticket selling aspect ...I was just looking for a site with a seating chart. Wouldn't that part be accurate at least? I have no idea.

I don't mind the premium seats as long as I'm closer to the stage than the kop (whatever that is)

When he had the concert at Kings Dock a few years ago the premium seats were at the side while the standing area was in front of the stage.

no i have always thought that the KOP would be used for seating other people on macca thought the stand would be there not me.

you would have to take out alot of seats , do a lot of drilling etc to put a stage in the kop then put them back and refill the holes. you have people standing adn seating on the pitch the pitch will be dug up and a new one relaid by mid june.

the stage will be nearer the halfway line than the annie road end, the only clue so far is where the reds bar is situated exactly i dont know i have never been in the centeenary stand i have only ever watched the boysd from the main stand and the kop. and only ever punched people in the annie road end, mostly man city fans.

As it's relatively local for us I'm not sure whether we'll drive there or go by train.....I need to check out return train times and what the parking situation is if we decide to drive. Either way I'll be home in my own bed eventually
