Heidi glad to hear you and Joe made it just fine! Sorry to hear about the Ambien not working though I was kinda counting on a sleep aid to help me through sleeping on the plane. Oh well.

Linda that is great that Edinburgh is cool and so is Dani. Don't tell her I said that I think she's super kind being so welcoming, it will go to her head.

Peter good lord not the Speedos, anything but that.

Don't worry about it, everyone is entitled to a rant and it is justified. Fortunately I was lucky this time (I am often unlucky) but I too would be very upset if I was in your shoes. I hope your meet up goes well too.

I was told by Dani from the start that I have to meet her. I have my reasons why I chose not to join in your meet up so please don't take it personally. It would be great if we can meet up at some point. Matt (matts) is now going to who I know been to a few gigs with and Doctor Who things so I'm sure I may see him too but I'm not sure how long I'll be free in Liverpool.

Jayne ~ Lauren mentioned in sue's thread about how she got her tickets exchanged and if others wanted to know what she did, to PM her and she would tell them what to do. PM.COM had a lot of people complaining and sue wanted to write a complaint up with as many people as possible who are having the same problem. I hope everyone's tickets are decent seats.

Ok so here's a nice situation.

My tickets were sent to a Brighton address. A friend of mine lives there. He was going to come with me to the concert, but as it turns out he has exams the next day and he can't make it, so I am taking my brother with me.

Anyway, the tickets are in a delivery office in Brighton, and my mate can't go pick them up because they're in my name. I called See Tickets today and the nice man told me that because they have already been mailed out and they are in Brighton, he can't duplicate them for me. I told him it's nearly impossible for me to go there, but he said there's nothing he can do.

I will call the delivery office in Brighton tomorrow (damn bank holidays) and see if there is any way someone else can pick up my package on my behalf. Otherwise I will have to fly to Heathrow on Friday, and take a train straight to Brighton, so I can go take my tickets on Saturday morning, and rush to Liverpool.

On the one hand, this would be sort of OK with me, since I'll get to travel alone, which is always my preference. On the other hand, it's added costs, anxiety, and tiredness.

Sorry, needed to get that out of my system. I am really so nervous now. Damn.

What I find strange about this situation is that some tickets were sent recorded delivery others weren't (like mine). If Olia's wouldn't have been then I'm sure she would be in a different situation. Why is it not consistent?

So like you our extra payments are going where exactly? £75+£14 x how ever many tickets you bought. For me that £28 wasted and it doesn't even cost that amount to do it special delivery.

True, Daniella, if they had been regularly sent to my mate's house, he would be able to mail them to my hotel, for example, and there would be no anxiety whatsoever.

This whole ticket fiasco has got a lot of us down, so I thought I'd post some good news:

Someone at the Macca Board posted a link to Brian Ray's MySpace page, where he has this to say:

Quote:

Rehearsing with Paul McCartney

Ok, so I'm here rehearsing for some upcoming shows with Paul McCartney and band.. The first, in Liverpool for 35,000 at Anfield Stadium and the second, in Kiev in the Ukraine.. this one will be an outdoor show in the Square for over 300,000 people.

We're all psyched to be playing together and the rehearsals are going really well. I can't tell you what songs we're playing but I will tell you that there will be some very cool surprises, to be sure.. Paul is in great form.. He looks and sounds better than ever and seems really glad to be rockin' out with the band again.

Six more days! :yahoo:
What a long, strange trip it's been....

I was out of town the last few days...and am trying to catch up...
Did Linda get her ticket situation figured out?
I'm still worried about that.
Hope everyone who is flying has great flights...
I know I won't feel good about it...until I am OFF the plane. ^_^

Re: the ticket thing, I just can't understand how it could be such a cock-up. Seems like the whole organization changed hands in the middle of the planning stages. None of it makes any sense and there are still tickets available. I'm sorry for the agro cause by all this and I hope it all works out well for everyone.

No matter what though, it will be a rocking weekend!!!

This ticket thing is a cock up. I also get the feeling I wont get the ticket I bought from the tout so that will be me down £100 now.Fingers crossed it arrives by Thursday. It was a stupid thing to do though so my own fault. Its gonna be a hectic weekend.I nearly freaked coz couldnt find my passport, but I found it finally.

And yes Edinburgh is sunny and warm.If it wasn't for that bloody cold wind (which is a b*tch to cycle into btw) it would be roasting.

I'm getting the pleasure of seeing Girls Aloud 2 nights in a row so dunno if I'll be on here again after tonight

That article states that the concert has been 3 years in the planning. Judging by the cock-up's I've been reading on here 3 weeks seems more like it!

Heathrow is at the bottom left, St Pauls is around the middle of the red line half way up the page.

I'm just wondering if anyone has heard from Linda...and if she has her ticket thing straightened out.
I went on See Tickets today...and now it says I can pick up my tickets at the venue. A couple of days ago it said they were mailed out...and when I called...the nice man said the same thing. Honestly, I don't know who or what to believe.

On another note. I am slowly getting my stuff together. I am going to be gone for almost 2 weeks...and I am at a loss at how much to pack. I usually OVER pack for every trip we take...but Brian said that is a mistake on this trip. I agree...but its still so hard to know what to take!

Just a quick hello to everyone! Joe & I have been touring our heads off and we're tired...it's not over yet! I'm hoping to meet up with Audrey sometime on Thursday....call me, Aud!

Heading up to L'pool on Fri morning...what a hassle trying to figure out the best/cheapest way to get there. Guess we're sticking with the plan to rent a car from Heathrow and drive; Mapquest says 3 hrs 25 mins but everyone else here says closer to 4-1/2 hrs! We have a tour of the houses at 3:30 and want to check in at the guesthouse first...I'll be there come hell or highwater...lol!

OK see you later! B)

Precisely Kay. Believe me when i tell when i drove to Liverpool i would try my damnest to be there quick, i think i only managed it in just over 4 hours once, the longest was 8 hours. Plus i knew the route off by heart. Heathrow is about 30-40 mins from me. eight hours was in the height of winter and a bad nationwide storm, foot to the floor doing 35 mph.
