One piece of advice that I got from a travel agent here..."the trains run on time down to the minute; you can set your watch by them so don't be late!"

Another reminder to my stateside friends....don't forget your plug adaptors so you can charge your cell phones, hair dryer, etc!

See you all SOON!!!!!!! :yahoo:

I wouldn't go that far but yeah be on time. Generally they are pretty good.I've never had real problems with the train service but occasionally you can be caught out

That is a very good bit of advise. Simple things like forgetting or not knowing you need an adaptor in another country can cause needless worry.

So check once more before you leave!!

Peter, what do you mean you have to pay for a bag in the hold? I'm flying from Heathrow to Manchester and I hope I don't have to pay.

This is what it says on the See Tickets site about my tickets:

My seats are 107, 15, 57-58. Can anybody tell me where that might be?

It also says they were despatched from See Tickets to my home today. Isn't that exciting since I leave tomorrow.

Well, here's another clue for you all, the Walrus was Paul...
:hyper: Lucky Linda!!

On another note...I called See Tickets this morning, because on their site it said that my tickets had been sent out to me. Obviously, I was confused...first they are going to be sent out, then they won't be sent out, but you can pick them up a week beforehand...then no, you can't do that, you have to pick them up at the venue...and now...they have indeed been sent out...a week before I leave.
WTF? The man was very nice ("Cheers"), and said if I didn't get them in time, they would get me duplicates...but still...WTF???? Does anyone know what is going on there?
Also. On the PM board...people are complaining about their seats. And I did notice that they now do have where you are sitting, if you look up your tickets...
I paid for "Premium" tickets...but am not sitting in premium seats. And other people are sitting in the "KOP", paying for expensive seats. WTF? Very strange.

Anyway...I am providing the picture of the venue that I found...it looks to be quite accurate to what I have seen out there.

Thanks for that, Rose.

I am very worried about the whole ticket situation. I have won two pairs of tickets, one is supposed to be going to an address in England, the other I have to pick up from Liverpool. The first two tickets haven't arrived, and I am really nervous. What if they screw up? What if, what if, what if...
Ok, the worst case scenario is that we only have two tickets, so I let my folks in and I go to the pub and get wasted :P But still...

The nice gentleman on the phone said that if the tickets don't arrive in time, that you can 'ring' them up and they will issue duplicates. But it is still a bit nervewracking. :sweet:

That's why I got pitch tickets. I remember from the Kings Dock concert, I got cheap seat tickets and the seats were miles away, luckily they didn't segregate the stands then so I was able to leave my seat and walk in to the standing part and get much closer to the stage.

The way this concert has been organised is a bad reflection on the UK. With just over a week to go everything should now be sorted out and tickets either sent out or clear instructions on where to collect them. It's not as if this is a last minute concert after all...and wasn't it at one time supposed to start at 5.30pm and be a 5 hour festival?

I must that I don't feel I'm missing anything by not going to the concert. At least the meet-up has been organised well thanks to Jayne's efforts :yahoo:

:yahoo: I'm sure you will make it. Have you been to the 'Beatle' sites before?

Not seen any of the London Beatle sites but have been to Liverpool and see Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields gates, The Cavern...

Wow you have to come now lol. Apart from Linda's exhibition we will visit Abbey Road and a few other places.
With every mistake we must surely be learning.

And I paid for premium reserved, not the KOP. I also leave in about a half an hour for London and will not receive the tickets. They were mailed yesterday.

Well, here's another clue for you all, the Walrus was Paul...
How frustrating. Not all that long ago, I exchanged emails with Zena Harrison, Head of Internal Affairs, Liverpool Culture Company. Which was the person you were supposed to get in contact with...about the tickets.
She promised me that my tickets would be waiting at the 08 place for a Saturday, May 31st pickup.
Now I call and find out they have indeed been mailed.
I mean...come on.
Are they deliberately trying to f*ck with my head? Why can't they just stick with something for longer than a week. And keep in mind the concert is about 10 days away now...

If anyone is interested in a tour of the Casbah let me know. There is one available on the 31st at 12n. The more people the cheaper it is. Let me know.

I actually might be.I've never seen it and dont have a clue where it even is.

This is a massive cock up, I'm increasingly getting the feeling I may have to pay back that £100 I got for selling the touted one I got on ebay, which means more cost. I'm getting scared now although am still releaved Tony came to my rescue

I dont think you are the only one they have done that to Jayne, but thats bloody ridiculous. Thats why I went for standing because even with seating you have less say in the thing, but considering you got premium seats thats a bloody outrage. This has been shite from the start and aren't showing themselves well at all

:sweet:

dear Rose, who did you ring to arrange for them to issue duplicates you can pick up?

I just checked my reference numbers and, while the one pair is to be picked up, the other one has been mailed to a Brighton address almost 10 days now. I speak to my friend in Brighton every day, and he hasn't received the tickets yet.

Even worse is the fact that this friend is not going to make it to the concert after all, so I have to pick them up from Liverpool, otherwise I have to travel to Brighton to get them, and that is really not an option.

Anyway, went on a bit there. Is the number +44 115 912 9000?
And should I just tell them I need to pick them up from the venue on the Saturday?

If you have any further queries please contact us on -
Within the UK 0871 230 0010
Outside the UK +44 115 912 9000

The man on the phone told me that if I don't get my tickets in time...that I just have to call them and they will issue duplicates.
Really a pain in the ass if you ask me.
I guess I should carry these phone numbers with me on my way to Liverpool...I will probably end up calling them.
