Got kind of scared when Lisa said she was arriving on May 28 because the other Lisa said she was arriving on May 29 and they are on the same flight.

Glad to see the list and hope you get all the confirmations, Jayne.

Glad to see Dani is now going to the Concert for George. Lisa (retrollama) is going with me and then we will go to the meet up.

Hoping Jayne can pick me up at Line Street on May 29. I come in at an entirely different time than the Lisas do in Manchester. I don't think Lisa can check in to the hotel since the room is in my name.

:P

This is getting so exciting. In 72 hours, I will be waiting at the airport for my plane to leave for Londontown. :hyper: :hyper:

And I was able to set up my online bank payment so that it will be paid. Won't need to go on to the bank site in the UK.

Sorry for all the confusion Linda Lisa and I are coming in May 29 at daft o'clock into Manchester Airport (about 9:30 am).

Are you coming into Liverpool on May 29 also? In the evening? Doesn't the train go into St. Helens from Liverpool?

Your train does go past St Helens though, dunno if they would let ya off there mind you coz its a ticket to Lime Street.

I'm even more excited now coz I'm now going to see Paul and John's houses. ;)

I'm pretty bad at that myself.I'm just rubbish at doing that stuff, but some people may have already noticed that. I wait to see what the person I meet does. If they go for a hug or whatever then I give them the same back. Its only fair I guess, although when you see me don't worry you want have to do any of that shite with me

I usually shake hands the first time. Best way I think when meeting people from other countries. Can't cause offence that way.

And there is no doubt why I go through my life so confused sometimes.

As for meeting etiquette...I'm kinda like Dani, I guess. I follow the other persons lead. Which could be a problem when I meet Dani...as we will both just stand there waiting for the other to do something! ^_^

I suck at names.
Much better at faces...which in this case doesn't help me one bit.
And there is no doubt why I go through my life so confused sometimes.

As for meeting etiquette...I'm kinda like Dani, I guess. I follow the other persons lead. Which could be a problem when I meet Dani...as we will both just stand there waiting for the other to do something! ^_^

It will be fun finding out who's who at the meet. :D
With every mistake we must surely be learning.

I've been thinking about etiquette, what do you do when you meet someone from another country? This always makes me nervous, I don't know what to do, should I shake hands, hug, kiss, wave, nothing?
What do you do when you meet someone new? This goes to everyone.

I of course went for the whatever

boy that fag tasted good afterwards.

No bring lots of skimpy summer clothes to fit in with the locals. I will be wearing my yellow Liverpool shorts circa 1982.

From what I remember, those are the highlights! ;) No actually had a fiance from there and went to visit many years ago. I remember the Black Bull pub (still have the t-shirt) the steep stairs in the houses and the electric "fires". Also learned about the River Ribble which I thought was such a col name that I have it as my email addy. Hmm wonder what happened to that guy?

very true, I love train journeys in England and it kind of makes me sad that my folks are driving us to Liverpool. At least after they leave I can take as many trains as I want. :D

It wasn't the actual train ride that I am worried about...it's more of getting to the right train at the right time. But I do have a tendancy to overthink any situation. ^_^
