I'm goin' down to Junior's Farm!
Well, now I'm here at Hofstra University, this incredible college I recieved a mailing about during last summer. I thought it was great. It's proximity to NYC (it's actually located about thirty minutes away on Long Island and just a hop, skip and a jump on a train to Penn Station) and all the programs they offer being my favorite parts of it. It also gives me a good chance to live away from home...four hours away from home!
So tomorrow, my classes start. I'm majoring in Print Journalism and will declare my minor to be in Political Science. (I'm also starting German as a language.) I thought I'd share it with the world, because it is such an important part of my life and a huge thing to get used to. Don't worry, though. I've still got my "Let It Be" poster and another poster of John hanging over my head everynight as I sleep. There is no way I'll ever forget the Beatles. :D

The only thing I'm a little worried about is being able to do reviews for my blog. There is no way I can possibly continue, even with my slow pace I already have! So, I'll field any offers for a co-author position. I will do one every now and then, but I'm not sure I'll be able to do one even once a month. I do have a bunch of CDs with me I can review, however, I have no idea what sort of work to expect to have to do at my dorm (plus the fact that I'll need a job...). You can e-mail me, you just PM me if interested!

Wish me luck on my new life!

A lot of people from my town are freshmen there this year, do to the communications program, and how my town has a high-school radio/TV station. So you might meet some people from Maynard!

Yeah, thanks guys (and gals). My classes today were pretty cool. I have to read Antigone by Thursday! Tomorrow my German and American Gov't classes start, so it should be even more interesting!

I have a friend who's a theater major at Hofstra. My freshman year was last year and I had a great time. I'm sure you will too!
