Good grief. So much drama...and for what? (I normally hate the rolling eyes face...but unfortunately...it fits)

I do read all these great messages about Lissa, but people should realise that life is also going on.
For example this week a famous Dutch entertainer has died, the whole country was in mourning for him because he was so great. I saw it and it was people just looking like buch of cows (they are animals living in schools) (the Dutch name is kudde dieren). For me it was very clear that the person who have been died his wish was to do a party, (yes party) , in a way his say: "Live Is Goinf On". andf that is the thrue. That was avery intellegent remark, the di place that on his funeral also, people should be happy.........
I'm sorry that I have post this all here, me to thinking in that way, (just like Paul sings on his last record..................

One not everyone here is a moron, i think they saw that the sun came up this morning.

Two no you did not need to make this post.

Three people grieve in very different ways it is normally considered good form to allow them to do it their way.

Every day people are dying,Peter, hunderd and millions people. That is the fact of life..............people are dying on car accidents, and most part from hunger. You should think about that.

I think you're missing the point here. No one really cares about people dying unless they know them or of them. Sure it's sad, but the only time it affects you is when you have a link to that person.

Many people here had a link to Lissa. Not only that she was an active member here which in most ways affects everyone here especially because not many of us have been on personal message boards and experienced someone's passing.

Aside from the fact that Lissa had many friends here. It surely hits home.

On a personal note I think you're minimizing the passing of a fellow member.

If you lost a family member of your own would you want someone to walk up to you and tell you "Life goes on"? Others die everyday from hunger and car accidents? I think it's rather callous, but who am I?

I think, I don't minimize the passing of a member here.

Sorry for mine posting here. And I think many people misunderstanding me here.

I do apologize for have putting some words in this RIP thread.

I don't come and post here anymore

Fea, no one is saying you can't post here. But, there is a time and place for certain post. You kindof made it sound as you didn't care. and, that we all should be heartless. and have no feelings over this saturation. Maybe, you didn't mean it this way. But, that is at least how it came across to me.
We do enjoy your company. But, other have their own set opinion they will voice too. Please don't take it to heart as such as others are out to be mean to you.

Fea - I feel you were misunderstood, here. I'm sure your intent was only to divert and lessen some of the pain people are feeling. I'm certain no-one wants you to leave the forum - you have been an asset in Beatledom for much too long to allow this to happen.

I neglected to mention the reason I began my babbling in the first place. Lissa's sister has been given this web-site address and has read or will read all these wonderful comments about her beloved sister.

Thank you so much for letting Lissa's family know that we are here and that we care deeply for her.

Fea, I'm sorry. I like you a lot, but I think people here are mourning one of our own. No, I never met Lissa, nor have I met you. I have met a lot of boardies. I will mourn the death of any one of them as I do my own family and friends in the non internet world.

I realize people are dying of hunger and wars. I don't mourn the deaths of the famous in general. With few exceptions, they are nothing to me. Lissa was a friend. I mourn those who are dying of hunger in this world, dying of AIDS in this world and dying in wars in this world. I cry for them.

However, the tears I shed for Lissa are tears for a friend.

Fea, you have never met our common friend. Would you mourn and cry for him?

I received the email from Chad, too, and didn't know if it was to be posted. Chad has read the thread and is very touched and saddened by Lissa's passing.

I am finding it difficult to get anybody in my real life to understand my pain. One co-worker participates in Grateful Dead forums and she totally understood. Everybody else looks at me like I have lost my mind.

Diane, no parent should ever have to lose a child is absolutely correct. Mr. Mozart, we share your mourning, as well as that of your other daughter and Lissa's daughter.

In fairness to Fea, of all the posts here in her memory Lissa's would have been most similar to that one. ;)

I for one have overdone my signature to frustrate her as she looks down on us and rolls her eyes. Payback is a b!tch cowgirl. (oh that's right, you hate emoticons don't you?!)

Can we please turn this back into our memorial for Lissa? Fea, yes we do know the sadness all to well of what life throws at us. Some of us want to, no need to express ourselves over Lissa's untimely passing. Fortunately for us that do, we have a place we can all come to. I look at this as being our wake for her. We are telling our stories, our emotions to people we have come to know and we are doing this in a way to let out our emotions and grief where we know we will be there to reach out and comfort each other. We can have a party with music and stories but this party is allowing us to show to each other that we are grieving.

I'm sorry you don't feel this way but please allow us to mourn.

Rev Dave, thank you so much for your lovely obituary. Makes me feel even sadder for her daughter but happy to have had Lissa allow us to get small glimpses into her life. Happy that we got to know her for as long as we had her here.

RIP my lovely!

Maybe we could post our thought on what she did to bring a smile to our faces. Lets face it, Lissa cracked us up all the time with her wicked, hilarious in- your-face, comments.

Upon reading one of her first post, I don't remember what it was about as their were so many comments she made, I was enjoying a cup of ice tea and I spit it all over my computer and screen from laughing. It's a good thing I drink my tea without sugar because I could have messed my computer up.

I know that I always read anything that said 'post by mozart8mytoe'...and I knew that I would either laugh or be inspired to think about what she had to say.
I don't want to canonize her...because she was, alas, just as human as you or me, and would be the first to admit it...but considering the life she led, she was someone to be admired for her bravery, her compassion and her never ending sarcastic sense of humor.

Besides the compassion she showed me in private, I will never forget that never ending sarcastic sense of humor. I had no way of knowing of her bravery until she was gone.

I don't think we are canonizing Lissa. I think we are showing our love for her. I am sure Lissa had human faults, as we all do.

Her life story as posted by Rev Dave is one of triumph over tragedy. I am stunned to learn she was so young. SHe had wisdom beyond her years and an old soul to carry her through.

I can't be specific about any one certain post but I know she voted for me during those awards last year and I felt very honored. Her intelligent humor was a great asset to this board and it will be missed.

I think the moral of the story is to appreciate the people in your life while they're here. Many people have said how they wish they would've told her how much they enjoyed her comments. If you look forward to seeing someone here or what they say makes you laugh so much you spit your drink on your keyboard, why not tell them? When we disagree with someone it's easy to make that disagreement public so why do we so often leave our praise for private messages? I know Lissa wasn't looking for praise or compliments, but everyone enjoys hearing something nice about themselves from time to time. Public Internet forums seem to be so full of negative comments and hostility. Let's make compassion and love the cool thing to show people online.

I'm going out of town for a few days so I probably won't be able to come here, but hopefully when I come back I'll have more to share with you all. God loves you all and so do I, and you know what? Of all the places she could've gone to Lissa made this her Internet home, so I think it's safe to say she did too.

I did PM Lissa and told her what happened. That's when I told her if I was her Mother, I wouldn't know weather to spank her or sit in the corner crack up with her. I try to make it a point to let the people I love or enjoy being around, know how I feel about them. My family has always been the mushy type. Even the guys in the family tell the other guys I love you on the phone before they hang up....."love you bro", too cute. One never knows when their last day will be.

((Reverand Dave))) Have a safe trip. And thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done for us. Lissa is smiling upon you.

you know Feact, of all the folks that come to this board, Lissa would have been the first to understand what you are saying here and would have probably agreed and with intelligence and canny wit made your statement make better sense to us.
That enormous loss is what we all are already missing.
i also understand how some customs celebrate the life rather than mourn the death, and i think she would have wanted us to do whatever it took to enable us to continue with faith in life while absorbing the loss we feel knowing hers was taken so quickly and so harshly.

If her sister, friends or others that loved and were lucky enough to know her better than us happen along these writing by all of us, they will also understand what an impact she made to us.

My tears are still falling for you Lissa........... or perhaps they are falling for me.......

I always looked up to Lissa. Of course, I thought she was older then me. She was wise beyond her years. I thought she was funny. I not saying we always agreed for there were times we did not. However, that did not mean that I did not care or liked her. I did look forward to her post. I would laugh for I did not want anyone to know I thought she was funny with her comments. In addition, beside, I really thought she gave Bill completion when came to being smart. You know there was time's I felt like crying, read what she posts, and got to laughing. Now, I will not be looking forward to those posts. However, I know I will be looking forward to seeing her again. You see I do not know if I see her in heaven or on earth. However, I do know she was inspiration to us all…

There is an 'angelfire' site of Lissa's which, if any of you haven't seen before, contain some of her photography and also her recommendations and loves in classical music. It's a nice snapshot of part of her personality and at least depicts what a full and cultured life Lissa led, albeit far too short.

I was told this site was gone. It is now back up and says under new management, but it looks like it did the other day.

I got my moderator fingers working and found Lissa's award nominations for the board, which I feel encapsulates some of her feelings about being here. I post this in her memory, and hope that all will take this as written, merely a time capsule of her thoughts about us -- and please remember, she voted for us all as "most entertaining" which I take as an honor.

Section One - General

Kindest boardie: QueenJudy, irenescreamer, JacaLisa, BlueJayne? Way.
Most helpful boardie: Audrey, Reverend Dave.
Most respectful board member: theonlyfabBetsy, Rose, Flickering Lauren, scottyBev, TassyLikeAnIcon.
Funniest boardie: Lovely Grace Meter Maid, JanaW, fab4John, Bill, MikeMc.
Most intelligent board member: Reverend Dave. We all think we are hot sh*t, but he has a PhD from Stanford. That means something where I come from.
Most politically astute boardie: Astute? No one here. This is liberofacist versus conservatofacist territory.
Most entertaining board member: Every last one of you. I would never come here if I were not amused.
Most honest boardie: modBridget1964.
Most 'cosmically conscious' boardmember: FionaByrd. Although I still need to kick her ass.
Most mysterious boardie: GaryCord, I suppose. I do not know jack sh*t about him.
Best thread starter: AndyLynnesBeard, GroupieClare. I do not like voting for moderators, but you gots to give props, yo.
Best thread: Liberal for Life.
Board member with the best avatar(s): They all change so quickly. I liked Chad's Grover humping and Linda's ambigram, but both are now gone. I like that scotty catt in the hatt and Merry uses my favorite Lennon photo. At the other end of the spectrum, McGoo's makes me nauseous. All rightfully noteworthy (and duly noted), but my vote goes to tonyhemp and manon for their stalwart dedication to that which is sadly beyond our mortal grasp.
Boardie with the best signature(s): jessiemillano.
Most Creative Username: Bill.
Most attractive/sexiest boardmember: Break me off a piece of that Kit Kat (pregnant chicks are just hot), tinyAnnaca, LadyLiz, Sandra, KinkOlia.
Person you wish would post more: Bag O’Heidi, waitingforaTim, Zimmy. Where has he been?
Best "newcomer" (Registered after July 1st 2006): SF Awards 2006, Kristinonthehill.
Most improved boardie: BlueMolly2006.

Section Two - Music/The Arts

Best Beatles Newsgetter: feact.
Best Beatles knowledge: BeatleBarb, bec walker or GroupieClare. Maybe they should have a face off, ten questions in eight seconds.
Greatest overall musical knowledge: This is an odd category. Some people here can tell you which single was number one in the UK and number three in the US on November 18, 1978 and some of us consider that fan trivia, not musical knowledge. Some of us know the difference between polymetre and diotonic anacrusis and some people simply do not care. Some people have studied bands most of their lives, while some of us have studied music most of our lives. So my vote goes to the person who created the jazz video thread that quickly died, beep, beep, beep, beep, yeah. Plus, he likes Django and Trane.
Best music reviewer: invisible jones. SamwiseTom missed out because he thought "More Fool Me" was Phil Collins' first lead vocal. I mean, come on. Freakin' kids today.
Most talented poet: doris mendlovitz, Flickering Lauren. Oh, pointy wings. Oh, pointy, pointy.
Most talented storyteller: I have yet to read anyone's stories. Have your people contact my people and we might be able to set something up. Keep in mind that my office does not accept unsolicited manuscripts and we cannot and will not read anything that is not sent by a registered agent.
Most talented artist/animator: Blackbird1942, Emilee, Magical Mystery Lisa.
Most talented musician on the board: SamwiseTom. We classically trained musicians have to stick together or those rock and rollers might take over some day.
Biggest Beatles Fanatic: Lindascruff. Neither rain nor sleet nor emptiness of wallet will keep her from a McCartney concert halfway 'round the world. I cannot even be bothered if there is too much crosstown traffic.

Section Three - The Best Of The Year

Song Of The Year: Bach's English Suite No 2 in Am (BWV807) - Live at Alice Tully Hall, performed by a member of this very board.
Musical Artist/Group Of The Year: Spastic Kneejerks.
Album Of The Year: Anything but that godawful Ecce Cor Meum. Please, dear Buddha, make the voices stop.
Movie Of The Year: It is a toss up between The Inedible Hulk, The Da Virgin Code and Bareback Mountain.
Book Of The Year: Without Volume Diffusion In Oxides; Landolt-Bornstein: Numerical Data & Functional Relationships In Science And Technology - New Series Group 3: Condensed Matter by C Allen, D Beke, F Beniere and C Bruff. Man, I hope it wins.
Man Of The Year: I did not vote for this, but if I did, I would vote for OJ Simpson.
Woman Of The Year: Heather Mills McCartney. Us amputees are killa sexy.
Weirdo Of The Year: Egbo, the Chinese mudrat boy.

Section Four - Special Awards

The 'Mom' of the board: MaccasDiane. Yes, it is a sympathy vote, but who here deserves more sympathy right now.
The 'Pop' of the board: Major Olen Goble, USMC, Ret. Father, Marine and damn sexy topless.
Best overall contribution to all sections of the board: Lindascruff. You got a problem with that?
The 'broken pencil' award for pointlessness: Pointless Game Threads B – billyshears.
The 'Oscar' for grouchiness: Kermit. Ever since he went vegetarian and had to give up eating pork he has been a total assh*le, and maccagirl1428.
Best Use of Alternative English: Peter.
The 'Don't you have a job?' award for mega-posting: Dorothy. Yes, Merry and Linda have more posts, but they have been here since day one. Dorothy racked up over 3,000 posts in three months.
Outstanding Achievement in the Use of Casual Profanity: Me, of f*cking course. Beatnut is a close second.
The George Harrison award for Quality over Quantity: SherryO, Love Sculpture, Sher, KopiteSvenn.
The 2006 Strawberry Fields Boardie of the Year (one name only, please): Merry, without whom I would have never come here. Take that as you will.

Well, here's another clue for you all, the Walrus was Paul...
Thanks for that, Lisa. It is indeed an honor that Lissa chose to hang her hat at Strawberry Fields and spend time with us. And Thanks to "Merry, without whom I would have never come here." Thanks very much, Merry.

A lot of people pretend to consider everyone on the board but it appears that she really did. That feels good.

So strange to see a clip of her personality again as though it were still around, after all the things we've learned and grief we've felt. Thanks, Lisa.

You're welcome guys. I was glad I could locate this post.

Everything that has happened breaks my heart and I feel somewhat odd about my grief, honestly, as I never even had the chance to meet Lissa.

But man, I can tell you, I will always remember her.

Huh. The most talented musician I've ever met named me "Most Talented Musician". I'll take that as a compliment. Thanks for posting that again Lisa, just another example of what made Lissa so special, and what her family, this board, and the world has lost.

I remembered Lissa's comments about my avatar, so I put it back up after her votes.

I also loved her comment about me being the Biggest Beatles Fanatic: Lindascruff. Neither rain nor sleet nor emptiness of wallet will keep her from a McCartney concert halfway 'round the world. I cannot even be bothered if there is too much crosstown traffic.

I also looked up my votes for Lissa--they are on my computer:

Funniest boardie: Mozart8mytoe
Most entertaining board member: Mozart8mytoe
Most mysterious boardie: Mozart8mytoe
Most talented musician on the board: Mozart8mytoe

My votes for these categories would be exactly the same this year.

No, I noticed too. My heart skipped a beat as I thought it was Lissa posting although I know it's sadly impossible. Linda has taken her avatar to use as a tribute and I saw that someone else is using it in their signature.

I know when we vote for "most missed", Lissa will be the winner of that category.

Clique this.

Man Of The Year: I did not vote for this, but if I did, I would vote for OJ Simpson.
Woman Of The Year: Heather Mills McCartney. Us amputees are killa sexy.

Here's another post of Lissa's that lets us know some more about her.
It's from the beginning of the SF Awards thread, posted Dec 6 2006:

--------------------

"I have not voted and have yet to decide if I ever will, but I do have some comments to make. Because that is what I do.

This is all highly subjective, as it should be. Some categories are pretty simple. For Best Signature and Best Avatar it takes very little effort to look around and pick something that amuses you. But Kindest and Most Honest, how the hell would I know? Not a single one of you ever offered to donate a lung to me. I am tempted to vote for Peter as Most Honest simply because I never know what the hell he is talking about. The most honest people are often the most misunderstood (as are the most deceitful). My subjectivity in this matter should offend no one (except maybe Peter).

I would not hesitate to declare myself the most talented musician around here. But I may be blinded by my massive ego and the minor fact that I have never heard anyone else here perform. Bill could be the greatest kazoo player in the history of the world for all I know, but I would not vote for him because I have never heard his mad kazoo skills. So if Bill and his kazoo do not "win", so what.

So, Chad, whether you think you are the most intelligent person here or not is irrelevant. These are not the 2006 Whatever Beep Thinks Awards. If people vote for you, too bad. If elected, you must serve. Those are the rules. If I were voted Kindest (not that there is much threat of that happening in this lifetime) I would deal with it. And unlike Tassy, I actually have killed.

If there are categories for signature and avatar, why not username? Just wondering. There are some pretty good names around here.

Also, what are the prizes? How about this:

You guys who voted for me in different categories are making me smile.  I've had a tough couple of days and seeing my name listed made my day.  Thanks.  hug.gif  This awards thingy is so much fun.  biggrin.gif

To me, this is the point of this entire exercise. And a good reason to make nominations public. The winners will, of course, go home with the trophy and their picture in the newsletter, but if simply being mentioned is enough to brighten someone's day, it is worth the effort."

--------------------
Nurse, I spy gypsies. Run
--------------------

By the way, if you are wondering -- here is what Tassy wrote in a previous post on the same thread:

"What's funny is me as kindest. They must not know about all those bodies I have hidden in the deep freezer in the garage."

What a long, strange trip it's been....

If we were paying attention, we knew a lot about Lissa.

15. What do you think would be the hardest thing for you to give up? Why would it be hard to lose?

My family. I have basically already traded one family for another. Losing the first was hard enough. Losing this family would be unbearable. Without them I would be wandering the streets aimlessly and muttering to myself about aliens trying to steal my thoughts.

16. Excluding romantic love, when was the last time you told someone you loved them? Who were they to you?

I tell my father that every day.

I have 2 special songs for Lissa; ok its 1 song 2 versions.
"THIS IS YOUT TIME" & "THIS IS YOUT TIME" reprise.
The interesting thing about the reprise Michael W. Smith starts with just the piano. As most of you know Lissa played the piano. Please listen to the words on the first track, the reprise has no words, just the music. I must warn you, many of you will be crying like a baby after getting a shot. Not trying to be funny, you will need a box of tissue and do not lean over your keyboard. I admit even getting the lyrics and just thinking of the songs I had to stop and take a breath.

Michael W. Smith – This Is your Time (Reprise)
http://www.mytempdir.com/2007595

This is Your Time Lyrics
It was a test we could all hope to pass
But none of us would want to take.
Faced with the choice to deny God to live,
For her, there was one choice to make.

This was her time. this was her dance.
She lived every moment; left nothing to chance.
She swam in the sea; drank of the deep;
Embraced the mystery of all she could be.

This was her time...

Though you are mourning and grieving with us,
Death died a long time ago;
Swallowed in life so that life carries on.
Still it's so hard to let go.

This was her time. this was her dance.
She lived every moment; left nothing to chance.
She swam in the sea; drank of the deep;
Embraced the mystery of all she could be.

What if tomorrow, and what if today,
Faced with the question,
Oh what would you say?

This is your time. this is your dance.
Live every moment. leave nothing to chance.
Swim in the sea. drink of the deep.
Follow the mercy and hear yourself praying.

Won't you save me?
Won't you save me?

This is your time. this is your dance.
Live every moment. leave nothing to chance.
Swim in the sea. drink of the deep.
Embrace the mystery of all you can be.

This is your time. this is your dance.
Live every moment. leave nothing to chance.
Swim in the sea. drink of the deep.
Embrace the mystery of all you can be.

This is your time...
(won't you save me? )
(this is your time)
(won't you save me? )

Lissa always kept me in line here. She told me as she saw it. She wouldn't cut her opinions down so it wouldn't offend people. If you got offended by what she had to say, well that was too bad. That's one quality I liked about her, even though I would get upset with some things. I loved her honesty and she did teach me to not let people get to me.

The more I read this the more questions keep popping into my head.

Maybe i'm stupid but my questions are to Reverened Dave.

I have read that you met Lissa only once. She travelled to some remote place in China. How is it that you happened to be in this very same remote place and knew that she was seriously injured, and knew what hospital she had been taken to?

Did you make plans to travel with her to China or did you just happen to be there at the exact moment all this unfolded. I'm just saying that it strikes me as odd that you would know almost every detail of this person's life and only met her once.

You have chronicled her life from the age of 3 all the way to her present age with every exact detail. I'm just wondering how is it that you were able to remember every single iota after only meeting her one time.

For the life of me I couldn't remember everything that happened for the last 23 years with a close relative of mine.

Now i'm merely asking a question, because after I keep readig this I am just totally blown away by all this, and it just made me think of things I wanted to ask you.

I am wondering if i'm the only person here that is wondering any of these questions.

Please forgive me if I sound a little off base, i'm just curious I guess.

How very strange that since lying in bed last night I'd planned on bringing that quote from her up and asking how many other things she revealed to us which we didn't think twice about. I guess her sense of humor combined with the severity of some of her recollections... it's not surprising that we didn't know when to take her seriously.

Dave is away for a few days. He met lissa though here and pm.com. They, if i remember rightly emailed each other then lissa took an professional engagement in Hong Kong and either so she could visit dave or as a bonus. She stayed for a few days if not more then journeyed onto a school run by one of his friends, where she met the little lass she fell in love with. AS lissa was in contact with another member of this board about the adoption, it does not take much imagination to realise that since their meeting that Dave and Lissa became very close friends.

He has also mentioned that lissa was not the sole source of the information he has imparted here, that it has been told to him by her family.

He has also mentioned that lissa was not the sole source of the information he has imparted here, that it has been told to him by her family.

OK, that is what I don't know so I am asking. So I gather that Rev. Dave lives in China?

Thanks Petey. I had no idea Rev. Dave was in China. I'm thinking to myself how in God's name did this guy just happen to get to the remote spot where Lissa was?
Plus I thought he was from the USA.

Now it makes a helluva lot more sense. :)

I believe Reverend Dave is American, but I could be wrong. His location is in his profile here.

He had met Lissa in China. Both wrote about that first meeting, but Rev. Dave let Lissa tell the story of falling in love with her daughter. Dave just wrote that Lissa had a life changing event happen to her while in China.

I tell my father that every day.

tis true B)

I had a great trip. I can see why it was a highlight for you or anyone else.

I went to Hong Kong for a few days (where internet access is plentiful) and spent the rest of my time in Hunan (where an internet is something used by multiple fisherman).

My original plan was to go to Beijing, but I got distracted. Had I gone to Beijing I would have seen the Great Wall and the Forbidden City (which now has a Starbucks) and done all the usual tourist things, but by staying in a small town and hanging out with the locals I was able to see and learn more than I ever could have at the Beijing Hyatt with a concierge to find Pepsi for me.

((Mike)) I'm sure Reverend Dave had many emails and phone conversations with Lissa before her trip of meeting him for the first time. And he may have had contact with the family since the passing of Lissa. Lissa had high respect for Reverend Dave as she spoke of him in one of her questionnaires.

PEACE and love to my friends, Judy

Hi dearest Judy! :)

I understand better now. I had all these questions about holy crap, how did this guy find out about the accident and know where to go, and how did he wind up in China?
It makes a lot more sense to me now. I didn't know Rev. Dave actually lived in China. Turns out it was a great thing he did.

I'm glad for Lissa's sake that Reverend Dave is in China and was there with her. I'm guessing he contacted her family for her. Heaven knows she needed them and they did get there before she passed away.

This has been a most unsettling & trying time for all of us. How do you really grasp fully what's happened, let alone deal with it, when all your info comes from cyber-space? I don't know the answer to that one.

I visited her angelfire website, [the one listed @ her Strawberry info won't come up--Andy?], with all the pictures. I found this one, which haunts me. Is it a picture she posted of her future little girl? Maybe Rev. Dave knows that answer. Anyways here it is:

How strange that the last time she was active on the board is recorded as an hour after Andy's post of her untimely death. Perhaps her sister was clicking on her favorites list on her computer?????

I noticed that too...

I'm sorry, that was me - I was trying to decide what to do with Lissa's account here and was pondering whether to remove her avatar/signature. After discussions with a couple of the other members of the SF team, we have decided to leave things as they are, for now.

I'd puzzled over that as well.

-----PLEASE Andy, please leave it up. It's too new, and having all reference to her like that disappear would be another shock--like hearing the news for the 1st time all over again. :(

Since we've been remembering some of Lissa's posts and surveys, one that sticks in my mind - although I can't remember where is it - is this one....

The question was something to the effect of, "Would you give up your life to save the life of a friend?" and Lissa's answer was something to the effect of, "They wouldn't have to be a friend."
Put a puppet on it.

I believe we are all finding out that Lissa's survey answers were quite interesting and gave us more of a look into Lissa than we realized--especially the surveys she wrote herself.

I know where you read that...it was in that big 'interview" question sheet she answered...I was in awe of all her answers...I think Lauren posted it on THIS thread....the one that got me is....your hanging on to a cliff and you have your grandmother in one hand and a baby you don't know in another..who do you save...she said..I have my grandmother hold the baby and I pull us all up to safety...or something like that....made me all misty!!!

Actually, Lissa's answer was:

21. You are holding onto your grandmothers hand and the hand of a newborn that you do not know as they hang over the edge of a cliff. You have to let one go to save the other. Who do you let fall to their death?

Bye bye Granny. Letting one hold the other is cheating and not the point of the question.
