I post a number and a number to add/subtract by. (Example: +6) Then the next person will put the answer then a number to add/subtract by for the NEXT person and so on.

For example:

45

-9

---------------------------------------------

36

+11

---------------------------------------------

47

+3

Get it?

I'll start.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
0
+8 (This should be easy)
Yes I did.
8 - 16 x sine (30) = 5.766824443742270E-039
or,
8 - 16 x sine (30) = 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000057668244437422731484406382178146
Well you did ask :wacko:
Well you did ask :wacko:
Hmm... I don't know how you got this answer. If "30" has units of degrees, then sin(30)=0.5 . I also tried 30 radians but I did not get your answer. I chose "sin(30)" so that the "8-16xsin(30)" would give us an answer of zero. So, what's the explanation?
At least this is more fun than adding and subtracting integers. :D
Ahh, but did you use a hand calculator or the calculator on your computer?
I tried it on my hand held calculator and got the answer you got, but calculators only go down to something like 8 digits, so the answer will always be zero because a hand held calculator can't handle realy long numbers.
Try using the calculator on your computer and see what answer you get. I'm assuming that the computer calculator can go to an unlimited number of digits :wacko:
So you see, we are both right.
When I wrote the problem, I didn't use a calculator because I knew that sine of 30 degrees was 0.5 . When you got a different answer, I checked using a hand calculator, including checking what answer 30 radians would give.
Okay, let's assume you got zero (if you wish), so now it's your turn to give us some numbers to solve. :)
