November Newsletter From Strawberry Fields

Hello Everyone,

October has been a very exciting month, what with Paul’s two concerts at L’Olympia in Paris on the 22nd and the Electric Proms show at The Roundhouse in London on the 25th. The board has been full of talk of the two gigs, especially the London concert which saw board members from all over the world descending on London, meeting up and enjoying a fantastic performance from Paul and the band. You can read all about the gig and the social aspect of the concert both in the ‘Press’ section and ‘You Can Talk To Me’.

The current talk is of Paul’s appearance at the Liverpool ‘City Of Culture’ concert on June 1st, 2008 and many of our members have been lucky enough to secure tickets and are hurriedly booking flights and hotels in preparation. There’s also a big social gathering brewing in Liverpool, so if you’re interested in meeting up with lots of SF boardies, please check out the thread in the ’You Can Talk To Me’ section. In the same ‘off-topic’ section, there are serious talks about a SF Calendar for 2008, so if you have any ideas or photos - either of yourselves, other board members or The Beatles - please submit them to bluemeanie (Jayne), who had the idea and has taken charge of this project. Come along to the forum and give your input!

The rest of the board is as busy as ever, with the music sections especially buzzing, with lots of active discussion threads and polls springing up for The Beatles and their solo works. Heather’s appearance on UK’s GMTV (Good Morning TV) yesterday has prompted quite a lot of discussion. Nobody has been mischievous enough to suggest that it was apt that she appeared on TV on Hallowe’en… until now, that is. There’s discussion and points, both serious and frivolous, for you to read and give your opinion on in the ‘Press’ section.

Strawberry Fields Radio is still going strong, with this week’s episode (number 22) featuring the ‘Strawberry Fields Singers’ whoever they might be… guess you’ll have to listen to find out. Also well worth a mention is the Strawberry Fields Trivia Quiz - a new competition starts today. For those who haven’t played before, you’re asked 10 questions every day and the winner at the end of the month is the person who has got the most right in the quickest time. There are at least half a dozen people who play every day and we could do with some fresh competition - so please come along to the website at;

http://my.funtrivia.com/tournament/Strawbe...enge-69768.html

…register & start testing your general knowledge alongside our boardies.

One last thing - it’d be nice to have some more members. If you know any Beatles fans who you think would enjoy participating at Strawberry Fields, please invite them along. They’ll be sure of a warm welcome from our many regular members.

Well, that’s about it for this month - there’s so much going on at the moment, so please pay us a visit and get involved!

All the best,

Andy (JeffLynnesBeard)

December Newsletter From The Latter Day Church Of Beatle (Strawberry Fields)

Dear Brothers And Sisters In Beatle,

It is a well known fact that posting at the Strawberry Fields Forum can increase satisfaction in your love life by at least 67%, will get your shirts whiter than white, will prevent cholesterol by providing you with all the Omega-3 you need and can actually substantially increase length and girth in either yourself, your loved one or that bloke who lives down the street who you like. It’s your choice!

HOWEVER:

If you don’t post at least once this month, somewhere a kitten will die.

Yes, a cute, wide-eyed fwuffy wittle kitteny-witteny will buy the farm because you didn’t care enough to contribute to Strawberry Fields.

IT’S TRUE! (well it’s not, but it might be… and then how would you feel, hmmm?)

Ladies & Gentlemen, Boys & Girls, don‘t panic - redemption is near!

Because - if you post once or twice in December then the holy God, Utterlee Butterlee, will bless you with gifts of creamy moistness amongst your divine crackers brown and no kittens will be harmed. (A few puppies may be assaulted lightly, but you’ll just have to live with that.)

Make at least 20 posts between now and the end of the week and you will be able to eat whatever you like in the month of December without gaining an ounce of weight. Imagine that! All the indulgence you want in the month of December without any weight-gain… and all it takes is 20 posts at Strawberry Fields. You’d be a fool not to!

If you post at Strawberry Fields regularly during the month of December, not only will you live a more meaningful and fruitful life, but your computer will actually gain erotic pleasure from visiting the site and will be less likely to break down in the next year.

If you post regularly at Strawberry Fields and take part in the Strawberry Fields Trivia Challenge and also listen to Strawberry Fields Radio every week - well, eternal life with unlimited happiness is coming your way, my friend.

If you make at least 500 posts in December, then Pork McCartney HIMSELF will come to your house and give you a special 46 hour concert comprising of every song he ever wrote. Guaranteed!

So what are you waiting for? If you want it, here it is, come and get it…!

All guarantees are not guaranteed.

Yours, if you want me,

The Reverend J. LynnesBeard,
Latter Day Church Of Beatle,
Beatlepool.

p.s. Make sure you look out for the SF Board awards - coming in the middle of December.
