Saw this on ninemsn.com.au  AP - Paris Hilton will have to find a new agent when she gets out of jail. The Endeavor talent agency has dumped the reality show star, Michael Donkis, a spokesman for the company said. "She is no longer a client," he said, declining further comment. --- Cheers, Trev. |

I'm sure that's why she got the more severe sentence. If she'd just showed proper respect and humbly explained that Elliot Mintz was her connection with reality, I'm sure they would have taken pity on her. |

She's shown no respect at all throughout this. Now mommy and daddy got to cut the line to see her yesterday. More celebrity justice. |

No matter what has ALWAYS been done by the Los Angeles Sheriffs Department, does not mean that it is right. NO SHERIFF has the right to usurp the decisions of a judge. If that is the case, then you might as well do away with the court system altogether and let the Sherifff do the sentencing. Perhaps that is one reason the Los Angeles courts are in such a mess. Paris Hilton or her family have showen absolutely no respect for the court system, her continuous breaking of the laws shows that she thinks she is above them, so I believe the judge was right in sentencing her to one day for every minute she was late. In a case where a court system is out of control and being run by anyone and everyone....someone will eventually have to become an example. Most likely, someone famous, in order to get the attention the problem needs. Good for the judge, I stand behind him 100%...and I still the the sheriff needs to be replaced. Cathy I think you might be taking a different attitude about this if Paris had killed one of your family members while she was driving drunk. |

You know i'm gonna stick with Cathy on this one. That girl knows what she's talking about!! As far as Paris is concerned. I do feel sorry for her. I know i'm probably going to get jumped on, but whatever. Whose to say that how she acts in the media public eye is how she really acts? None of us don't even know her personally, yet we hate her? What the hell did she ever do to you? It's not like she physically or verbally attacked you! Why not put yourself in her shoes for a moment.. How would you feel being photographed by the paprazzi while going back to jail for the second time, all while being afraid and/or frightened? How would you feel sitting in that jail, not knowing whats to happen. She's never been in that situation before. Of course its going to be scarey! As far as getting celebrity justice, I have to laugh at this actually. There's alot of celebritys out there who get away with things. Robert Blake being one of them, and OJ Simpson being another. Those are just two of many who have gotten away. Oh yeah.. and Michael Jackson being another. Now, i'm not a fan of Paris, but I do know what Respect means. |

You feel sorry for her, Liz? For someone who was banned for DUI and then had no respect for the court's sentence, being caught driving whilst disqualified? You feel sorry for someone who is famous for simply being famous, who courted publicity, who could have kept out of the limelight if she'd have wanted to? You feel sorry for someone who is almost the living definition of superficiality and obscene materialism? A person who has really had nothing but a negative impact on this world? Everything she has done, she has brought it upon herself. I don't feel one iota of sympathy for her at all - quite the opposite in fact. |

Why? Why feel sorry for someone who is banned from driving for driving drunk and the ignores the court and carries on driving? I really don't get people having sympathy for her!

 I so knew I was gonna get jumped for my post. I never said I felt totally sorry for her as far as DUI and whatever else. If you actually read what I had put Andy, I said I felt sorry for her because of the paparazzi getting up in her face! Of course my words weren't put down as that. But I certinly do NOT feel sorry for her for avoiding her probabtion and DUI sh*t. Whatever, I expressed my opinion and apparently I can't have one here. f*ck it |

Yes, put yourself into her shoes. Maybe the shoes she wore the day she turned herself in to the jail the first time. Those are the shoes she was wearing at an awards ceremony, where she smile and giggled and flirted with the paparazzi. Where she invited them to take her pictures and fawn all over her. Then she went to jail and expects them to not take her pictures? Give me a gigantic break here....she is a paycheck to them...that's it. Nobody cares about her, except what she can give them. Evidently she operates on a double standard like a lot of people where she only wants to be photographed in her best light. How would I feel sitting in jail not knowing what is going to happen? Never having been in that situation before. Hell yes it will be scarey, but it would be as scary for me as for her. She needs to learn to abide by the laws, she needs to learn to be an upstanding citizen and she needs to quit relying on her family money to keep her out of trouble. She is getting what she deserves. Jail is probably the first thing in her life she has done on her own....maybe she will finally grow up and join the real world. |

I'm taking the "I'll believe it when I see it." attitude. If she said she's a changed person the PROVE it. Don't just say it and then go back to your old ways. I have learned in the past that I have to show people that I've changed and prove it to them. I have regained some friendships I thought I lost because they realized I did change for the better. Paris, I think can do it, but she has to stop relying on people to do it, and that's going to be tough since she has a lot of cash. |

In Paul's Arms!
|
Thank you, Liz.
And Liz, I understand what you are saying. I pretty much agree mainly because we love the celebrities while they are popular but can't wait until they fall. I for one got very tired of all of this Paris sh*t the day she was going back to court. Being where I live, we had to hear every little f*cking detail about it. Paris has a high price on her head. A picture of her entering jail was worth, beginning price for a decent shot, $500,000. Why?Jana, I can understand your feelings on this case. The sheriff did overstep his bounds a bit but most of the lawyers around here feel that the judge way overstepped his bounds as well. All of the ones I have heard being talked to have stated that the sentencing was overboard for a simple case like this was. Like I have been saying, most sentences for probation violation is for about 20 days or so with actual jail time being less than a week. Now I have to make a comment on something that Jana said. She said that my tune would change if Paris had killed somebody close to me while driving drunk. I very much take exception to that. I HAVE HAD FRIENDS DIE AS A RESULT OF DRUNK DRIVERS! One had just left our house and 10 minutes later their car was hit so hard by a drunk driving a van that half of the car was across the street. The driver of the car lived but was not expected to live, his fiancee' died a couple of hours later. The woman that died, was my mom's best friend. Another friend was driving home from a day at Olvera Street, a well-known Mexican street festival. The driver only broke his arm while his passenger, and my friend, lived a couple of days before she succumbed to her injuries. So unless you are living in my shoes, please don't tell me what my feelings would be. I'm just conveying to you how things are normally handled out here. I am not telling you how I feel about it. |

This is exactly the way I feel. She is only famous for being a ditz, not for having talent. She uses the paparazzi. I don't feel the least big sorry for her and I don't feel sorry for her because she has to share a bathroom and people can watch her. That is part of going to prison. I've shared bathrooms before, as in outhouses when I was a kid. They were the kind with two holes and two of us kids would use them. I've also done the same thing when camping. I'm not going to jail, so this won't happen to me. I really have nothing but disdain for Paris Hilton. |

She is not a prisoner, she is only in jail. Not a lot of difference but jail is run by the Sheriff's dept while prison is normally run by the state or the feds plus the grounds for the prison is much bigger and the population is higher. She is to be incarcerated for a total of 45 days and has served a little over a week's time. |

that's a good question, Liz. I know that there have been some accidents and pretty bad near-misses that have happened in Hollywood due to paparazzi. Get that picture but get the hell out of the way. I have seen where some of the celebrities have come to blows with them and then get blamed and hauled into court for breaking the camera and their noses. |

This is straying a bit off topic, but the thing that makes me ill is when I hear about paparazzi going after stars when there are children involved. Like if some of the paparazzi are chasing a celeb in a car and the celeb has their kids in the car and they almost get into an accident because they are trying to get away from the paparazzi. Paparazzi today need to get some manners sometimes. If a celebrity is in a private moment, then they should leave them alone. I know, some may say clelebrities don't have a right to privacy because of the career they chose, but they are human, and they deserve some private time with their loved ones. |

Well, I agree with your sentiments wholeheartedly, Molly - but until everyone stops buying the trashy magazines & newspapers which splash these intrusions over their pages, then there will be a demand for the kind of pap photos they get. Simply put, if there's no demand, there will be no supply. If a person buys any 'celebrity' magazines or tabloid newspapers, they're contributing to the misery of those who they want to read about.

This exact thing happened to Ahhnie before he became governor of my state. He was driving his kids to school when they were hit by paparrazi. Luckily it was only a fender bender but because Schwarzenneger already had heart damage, he had to stay in the hospital for a few days. Shook his kids up pretty good but luckily that was all. |
