At a peace rally last week PETA was there with their Vegetarian Starter Guide and I looked at some recommended readings and found Judy Krizmanic's "A Teen's Guide to Going Vegetarian" I'm 21 so a little older than a teen but I decided to go to the library and get this book. I've been struggling with wanting become vegetarian this year and after reading this book I found out some of the things I did wrong and what I should do to change those things. I think what I liked about this book the most was the fact that it was written for teens and had a lot of quotes from teen vegetarians. It was easy to understand and conveyed information especially about nutrition, how to deal with your parents, friends, and sticky situations. It is a little old, 1994, and you can tell in some parts especially when it tells you to write to organizations when most people just email or check websites nowadays. But overall the information helped me out and thought I'd let anybody else out there, who is looking to become a vegetarian and wants an easy read guide to help them out, about this book. (Krizmanic also has a cookbook to go along with this book)

I've heard of that book - I'm a long way past being a teen, but it's good to know that it's a useful resource and that you'd recommend it - thanks!
