And, yes, there are some questions I consider to be very stupid - but only if I get them wrong. :P

now look at this:

5. After you leave the club, your date brings you to your house, but before you get out, you are asked if you will spend the night with your date. What should your answer be?

a. "Why, yes of course!"
b. "Sure!"
c. "I'm sorry, but we barely know each other."
d. "Why not? I have nothing else to do."

The correct answer is blatantly (a), yet you have to go against reality and nature, and pick © in order to get a point. I picked ©, but am very unhappy about it.

I notice on the answers page that there are links you can click to correct a question. There are also links to submit a question and evidently they are not vetted.

I suggest that we all use those links to complain about silly, subjective questions like that.

I have given up on the quiz. It's just too hard.

But really, I think it's kind of silly that we can get 9/10 or 10/10 so often. It would be more fun if the questions were "trivia" instead of "trivial", even though that would mean scoring 6/10 instead of 9 or 10.

I've stopped participating because even though I was always correct with every question I can never be the winner while someone who is less often correct can. That is a little petty on my part, but if the questions are now like that above I would not want to participate anyway.

Maybe even by definition trivia is trivial, but the point I was trying to make was that I think it would be more enjoyable if the questions tested our knowledge of history or geography or whatever (which I personally refer to as trivia or general knowledge), rather than asking such trivial questions that there is no satisfaction in answering them (for example: what colours are the American flag).

Seriously - this was one of my questions today!

4. I had a quiz in the "Wordwise" area. The Fun Trivia Editor told me that I could not have fill in the blank with 5 words. I should do what?

Your Answer: Hit the "corrected button" anyhow, they don't know what they're talking about

The correct answer was Reply that wordwise is different and is normally okay in this situation, please rethink about this option.

WTF?

-

I also got this one, which I luckily got right, but one of the options was 'Carrie Fisher', so it was a 50/50.

5. When I first graduated college, I felt lonely and bought a lab mix puppy. I named her after the heroine from the original "Star Wars" movie. What's her name?

Your Answer: Princess Leia

I feel lucky to have got 9/10 today. Still, them's the breaks!

Is there a way to find out if that is the fastest time EVER? I mean...27 seconds? Shouldn't he get a prize or something? ^_^

2. -- What is the name of the race track where the Kentucky Derby is held?

3. -- This is a protective, and absorbent, piece of clothing used for babies' bottoms in both the US and UK, but what names does it go by in those countries?

4. -- How did John Lennon die?

Some of the odd questions are beyond trivia. Who the hell would know the rules of 'Ultimate Frisbee'? It sounds like a game that Joey & Chandler made up.

Dear I know a bit about Ultimate, and no Joey and Chandler did not make it up.

Each person in our trivia contest gets different questions? Now I am totally confused. I got all 10 today, although I am slow. I'm old. I thought we were all answering the same questions every day in our contest.

I won't post tomorrow's questions, but I will start saving them. :P

Thanks Andy, Clare and Linda...I kinda slid in there at the end, didn't I? Quite surprising considering how crappy some of my games were! ^_^

Yes, your scores definitely suffer if you miss a couple of days. It wouldn't let me play yesterday when I was available - I think the site was down. :(
