I have a question for all of you living in Michigan - Are the roads where you are in horrible need of repair????

I live in Northern WI, but I work in the upper peninsula of MI and I have to say that the roads are just horrible! I am even having to leave way earlier for work in the mornings because I have to take alternate routes because of all the potholes and whatnot on the roads. I noticed in our paper this winter there have been tons and tons of complaints, but the city is saying that they are not getting enough funding from the state so they cannot really afford to do much repair.

One girl I work with had to have her car realigned because of all the damage from the roads. I am just curious if they are the same downstate. One road has been shut down numerous times because of the huge holes. It's unbelievable!

That sounds terrible, Holly. I'm glad our situation in IL isn't that bad. We still have plenty of pot holes around and bumps in the roads but nothing that extreme, at least that I know of. Makes it hard on your vehicle, I'm sure. What a pain in the neck!

The worst that I have to deal with is my own drive. We have a long gravel road to come up to our blacktop drive and it's full of holes and very muddy. We need new gravel but it is better than some years have been.
And in the end...The love you take..Is equal to the love you make.
