Brad Delp lead singer of the 70's band Boston died Friday in Atkinson NH.......at the age of 55. His death was called "untimely". He was also involved with the band "Beatlejuice" which was his pet project and he was very proud of his association with the biggest influence in his musical career.

I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting Brad a few years ago at Beatlefest in Boston. He was so down-to-earth and really enjoyed meeting his fans! On classic rock station tonight in Boston WZLX, the dj's were remincising how Brad was just a young teen, when he jumped the fence at Suffolk Downs to see The Beatles perform...................he mentioned years later, it was one of the amazing memories of his life!!! How sad he has passed away...........such a talented singer

I saw this news earlier tonight and was wondering if someone would post something on it, I wasn't sure where to place it ... Boston did have some great material come out over the years ... and he was so young it seems.

He performed at the Hollywood Bowl a few years ago, as part of a tribute to the music of The Beatles. The event was emceed by Sir George Martin and it featured a number of other "names" as performers. I'm glad that I was able to attend.

I don't think the cause of his death has yet been revealed. 55 seems much too young to pass on.

Yes, it is very sad news!

He was relatively young too, and so far I've heard that they haven't quite determined the cause of his death. I hope there was no foul play! :(

RIP, Brad!

Thanks for posting that link! Yes, a wonderful article.........love all the Beatle parts and references. His band Beatlejuice did amazing justice to all the Beatles songs they perfomed. They didn't try to "look" like the Fabs, just wanted to sound incredible and they pulled it off so easily..........a testament to Brad's talent!

Well, here's another clue for you all, the Walrus was Paul...
Boston. So much nostalgia wrapped up in their debut album. (yeah, I'm old...)
I was sorry to hear he passed away... :bye:
