In Paul's Arms!

Tassy and Olen, and whomever else is affected by these nasty tornadoes, I hope that you and your families are doing okay. Don't know how far you are from them but from what I have heard, they are all over Alabama and now hitting Georgia as well. Stay safe I pray for the people who have died and their families. I hope that the injured will be okay. |

Most of the worst has just passed us. Tassy's area is not under any warning right now. We are still under a T-Storm warning where I live. My oldest son is about to drive up near where Tassy lives. He thinks he wants to try out for cheerleader at the college there tonight. |

Good to hear from you Olen. Glad you are all okay. So your son wants to try out the cheerleader or wants to become a cheerleader?

Yeah, he's quite athletic. He teaches gymnastic classes and has the right skills, but he's a little afraid of the stigma that comes by being a male cheerleader. He's also a talented musician. He plays piano, guitar, ect. Instead of joining the band in high school, he chose to play football & basketball. He even placed in the state running Track. He's going to the tryouts tonight, but he don't if he'll actually go through with it. ![]() Here he is with a Hitler mustache created with make up:

Olen, your son should just go for it. There are male cheerleaders in college so why not? Your son is very good looking. |

Cory looks just like old pictures of Olen when he was his age. I guess he did father Cory after all. (Although, Cory looks a lot like my mailman )No damage here. We're in north Alabama. We just got plenty of rain, thunder and lightning, and nasty sounding wind. We're all doing fine |

Thanks for everyone concerned about me...and that other board member from Bama.<_< As for Cory, I'm not positive who his real father is. But, I think I may have fathered a couple of kids when I was posing as a mailman........

All kidding aside, we did have several deaths here in Alabama today. At least 5 happened at Enterprise School when it was hit by a tornado.

Glad that you're both OK Olen & Tassy. I'm very sorry to hear of the other lives lost in Alabama, though.

Last I heard we've had 17 deaths in Alabama and 6 in Georgia.
Let's all remember those families. I must also say that I am touched by the concern for Olen and I. When the storm was over, and we were watching the devistation, I looked at Paul and said "I bet everyone on SF will be worried about me and Olen." I appreciate having such thoughtful friends. It means so much to me.

((((tassy and Ollen))), Glad to hear the two of you are safe. Like the others, when you hear of bad weather in areas where our friends live, you can't but help worry if their okay. Sad for the families who have lost a love one to the tornadoes. Gosh I fear tornadoes, I hope we never have one here (((Audrey))) Glad to hear your earthquake didn't do any damage. Those are scary too. One big reason why we didn't stay in CA. |

I have family down in Georgia and Alabama many of whom I've lost touch with so this worries me that maybe some of them could have been in these storms. I sure hope not and, so far, haven't heard anything. I'm glad that the tornadoes didn't come your way, Olen and Tassy.

As scary as earthquakes are, Nature's version of an alarm clock, I would never let those scare me away from California. I have been through a few large ones and I am here to say that, scary yes but, they are very survivable. I think I would rather have an earthquake than a tornado but we get those, too. |
