I don't even know what to say. These past few days have been absolutely horrible for my friends and I...

HUNTINGTON BEACH, February 24, 2007 - An autopsy is expected to be completed Saturday on a 14-year-old boy who died after collapsing in the weight room of a Huntington Beach high school, a supervising deputy coroner said.

The autopsy on 14-year-old John Rambo is underway and "we might have something probably around noon-ish," said Supervising Deputy Coroner Larry Esslinger.
Freshman John L. Rambo of Huntington Beach was lifting weights Friday when he suffered a seizure about 8:30 a.m., said Huntington Beach police Lt. Terry Lindsey.

School employees administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation and called 911 before paramedics took the teen to Huntington Beach Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Lindsey said.

I am sorry for your loss. It's very hard to deal with these types of tragedies as an adult, harder for a child.

Can't really say anything that hasn't been stated earlier on this one 'Blackbird' ... hopefully they have counselors onhand to help those of you that are in need of some additional support. If they do and you feel a need to seek that counseling out, then by all means do so ... sometimes it's easier to talk to someone other than family or friends when these things happen.

Sorry for you and your friends' losses, and of course that was a unusual event for your school to go through.

In Paul's Arms!
Blackbird, I saw it on our local news. What a tragedy. I feel for everyone this young man touched and pray that his family and friends can continue on with lots of love and support.
