I thought some of you might get a kick out of reading some of the conditions celebrities request from the venues they play. This is from "The Smoking Gun" site, and although not as up-to-date as it could be, gives an interesting slant on what stars's contracts demand. http://www.thesmokinggun.com/backstagetour/index.html Paul had a 12 page "rider" for his 2002 tour! I took a look at Metallica's for some reason. A pretty eclectic food requirement list...including Heinz 57 vegetarian beans, Dannon Lite yougurt, NO STYROFOAM, and bacon that must be available throughout the whole show.

Somehow that just seems right for them, Barb! I thought Prince and his entourage had an interesting list, too. Merry

Paul took a lot of flack for his list right after the 2002 tour. I heard rumblings about it after 2005, but not as much. Why shouldn't these people have what they want? It brings a little touch of home and things they enjoy to them, where they mostly are unable to get out and go buy these things for themselves. Can you see Paul walking into Mini-mart in Dallas and saying "I'll take 5 bars of Ivory soap please?" |

I once asked for a tray of all yellow M&Ms and they gave me a bag of skittles. B*stards. |

I AM THE BIGGEST JOHN FAN!
|
I`ll be the first to admit that based on what I have learned over the years of what the rigors of the touring life is, that superstars are looking to find a way to get a few creature comforts of home that the rest of us have because we aren`t on the road. And to a point I support that because I am selfish and want to be able to see the Paul Mccartney`s of the entertainment world at a price I can afford. Yet there is a line that should be drawn in the industry since your bread and butter is your fans. Some of it is really over the top and the height of decadance and indulgence that someone should draw a line. |
|
You say you want to save humanity but it`s people that you just can`t stand John came to me in a dream and this is what he said. "I had a vision of a man on a flaming pie, and he told me that Betsy with a B not Lisa with a L is the biggest fan of mine". John trumps 'the boss' ! I WAS ROBBED BY THAT DEVIL WOMAN | |
