Wow, thanks for all the links Bill! Can't wait to get back home from work today to check out your tape findings!

Ah, the tape deck days! I may have written about this once before, but a couple of years ago I was going through an old shoebox of mixed tapes I had recorded on an old tape deck/radio during lazy summers of the late 80s/early 90s spent out in the countryside. On there was pretty much the soundtrack of my adolescence - it was almost a shock to the system to hear it again. I knew the song transitions by heart, and the silly (and VERY 80s) transitional radio host ramblings that sometimes cut into the intros and outros, with contests to win new albums, coach trips to concerts or beach towels. Crowdies music was a centerpiece of that time and environment. I really should record them onto the computer. I remember sometimes the tape deck would "eat" the tape, and you'd have a mess to carefully untangle and rewind by hand, sometimes "mending" broken bits with glue or scotch tape. What a storage medium!

The 7 worlds, pt II live recording was interesting to say the least. To hear Neil Finn singing Radiohead was quite... something.

Not sure, I had it on a promo live cd yearsago that cost £100. Three of us bought equal shares in it but one of the others ended up with it and I haven't seen them for years.
