It was recommend on another thread that someone should start a thread where members can hear Beatles & Beatle/Related rarities. I'll try to post one a week. If anybody wants to jump in and share too, go for it. Recommendations are always welcomed.

:) Enjoy...

I'll start it off with a Chaos & Creation reject:
Paul McCartney - Summer of '59

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET ... that's cool. I was just looking over in that one you posted "Now and Then" in and saw that you and Bill were discussing the idea of doing this thread.

Thanks for just doing it ... I know you won't get the same flack here that you got over at the other site for doing it, people will be very happy.

Yup, excellent idea, thanks Ogoble for starting this thread. I might have a few things I could share too. Let's see how this goes!

That was an enjoyable little track. I can see what it didn't quite 'make the grade', but it's a good song nonetheless. :)

Olen thanks so much for this idea and for posting "Now and Then" elsewhere.

Anyone got any Beatles fan club Christmas tracks? :)

aww, thanks, Bill. :)

B) Neat site. It would probably would have taken too long for me to have uploaded large music files like the Christmas records. But, I do have them.

Does anyone have any info on the earlier version of 'Beautiful Night' by the way?

I was on the another board and they were bringing up that there's an earlier version of it done in the mid-1980's and I wasn't aware of that. Now I'm a little curious about the differences between it and the version that's on 'Flaming Pie' ... so if you've got any feedback on that I'd be curious to hear it. I've already asked over there ... so either way I suppose my curiosity will probably be placated.

By the way ... I'm only asking for comments on it, seems it's possibly been released and given the 'rules' laid out for the thread I don't wanna get anyone in hot water over this.

I've heard the 1987 Return To Pepperland bootleg that the original Beautiful Night (and We Got Married) was on and, to me, neither are a patch on the final recorded versions. Paul was right to hold fire on both.

;) Sure...but, I agree with Andy. I love the version of Ringo & Paul clowning around best! :P

Paul McCartney - Beautiful Night (1987)
Ringo Starr - Beautiful Night (clowning around with Paul)
Paul McCartney - Beautiful Night (Orchestra Session 1)
Paul McCartney - Beautiful Night (Orchestra Session 2)
Paul McCartney - Beautiful Night (Backing Track)

Oh, you're good! And quick.

Here's a little contribution - Can't Buy Me Love live in 1992. I wish he'd kept doing this version for a little longer.
