Frankly, on a personal level, I wouldn't mind excluding moderators - if that was the popular view. I think it's fair to say that I post a lot of myself here, rather than just doing mod duties, but if that's the way the members wanted it, then I wouldn't have a problem.

Excluding winners of a category from winning again the next year is something I wouldn't support. People should be able to vote for whoever they believe deserved that cateogry that year, no exceptions.

Quite right too Andy so that automatically include moderators.

We all felt this years winners were worthy winners. :D They are the people who give a lot of time and energy to the board. There should be no talk of excluding anyone from the vote next year just because they won something this year or because they are a moderator that just doesn't make sense to me.

I agree with you, Sandra...everyone should be open for the nominations, it's a new year and whether or not they won before shouldn't matter.

I wouldn't like to see the Admin or Mod's excluded, either. EVERYONE should be included, it's the Democratic way! ;)

That's just plain dumb to exclude the Mods. Oooh how I hate that word! They post all the time, they contribute more than most of the members here, they make things fun for everyone, they never bother anyone, they break their asses to offer up this site for all, and you want to exclude them from something that they thought up in the first place?

Oh yeah, and on top of that you would never even know they were Mods unless you looked at the top of the board.

People, I have to ask, where are your brains?

I don't support excluding anyone, either. It isn't fair.

The only thing I would suggest is for people not to have the option to vote for themselves. It isn't fair either.

Now I'll agree with you there, Olia!

I didn't vote for myself for anything...I never would, but to keep it impartial, it would be fine with me if we couldn't. I really don't recall seeing anyone that did though, come to think of it.

We'll leave that up to Andy and Fiona to decide.

I say exclude everyone who doesn't have a "C" initial, can be linked to the Roadrunner in one degree, and is currently without a job. Seems to make about the same amount of sense.

It's fine to vote for yourself. Politicians do it, why can't we? I only voted for myself in one category, but actually I was only doing it as a vote for Calvin and Hobbes.
