This has the potential to be a good thread!
My name is Andy, I'm 31 and I live very happily in South London, England, with my fiancee, Fiona. I have been married before and have two daughters, Bethany and Rosemary, from that marriage. I work as a mainline train driver for a large rail company. My loves (apart from the gorgeous Fiona) include music, movies, books, travel and good vegetarian food. I'm an aspiring writer and hope to one day make my living writing, either through journalism or books, instead of getting up at ridiculous hours of the morning to go out to work and coming home tired & lethargic. Oh, and I co-run this place - which is usually a privilege & a pleasure.

 Well, truth is - I don't get any real pleasure out of moderating, having to say certain things to people & "crack the whip". The pleasure I get from this place is seeing that people get so much from it - and not just in a superficial way. I see wonderful friendships, I see people supporting each other through hard time & people celebrating happy events and being genuinely pleased for each other when something great happens to them. That's when I love this place & love being a member and a part of what makes Strawberry Fields tick. The moderating stuff I have to do to make sure it's a nice place for people to visit is almost the down side, but the support I receive from the the members makes it all worthwhile, believe me.

well you all pretty much know me. My name is anna
of course, and I am 26 years old. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada and have been here for about 3 years now. (wow time flies) . I live alone with my kitty Obi Wan in a tiny studio appartment in the Ghetto!
I am a graphic designer for a company called Passion Parties, which sells adult toys. I love my job, but at the same time... makes me insane!! I have been with the company for about a year and a half now... and dont see myself leaving anytime soon. I have my BA in Visual Communications, and really enjoy what I do. I wish I was better, more tallented, but I get by. I am also the only person in my entire family to have ever gone to college. I am ummm.. somewhat single I guess. I have been seeing this guy for about 3 months now, an older guy named RObert whom I met through work. My CEO of the company has written a book and Robert was the photographer that took her Book Cover photo. He came in to download his photos and we hit it off. How knows where its going, but for the first time, i am not thinking.. just letting it happen. MY passions in life are of course Music, Love, Laughter.... um... I hate talking about myself.. lol. Ok thats enough for me. |

I´m 24 years old, born in Guarujá, São Paulo coast. I study Laws, I work for some crazy lawyers. I play guitar, compose some weird music, I have a horrible accent when I speak English, my English is crap, and my native language is Portuguese. I am somewhat single too. I love music, and I love to travel, reading books of history, philosophy, and next year I will live alone, in the downtown of SPaulo city, probably and I will be independent, finaly.

I'm Chad, I turn 35 tomorrow and, as many of you know, I have very little info that I deem too personal to post here. My life quite literally is an open 'Book'!
My daughters, Analise, Josephine and Julia Rose are the breath in my lungs. Tracy, (or Wifey, as I call her) is my Numero Uno Chica. And cool cats Blinky and Suzy round out the household. I sell commercial lawn and garden equipment, which I enjoy very much, but I may be looking towards a change soon. I play guitar in a band and I am a ginormous Beatles fan on a never-ending quest to broaden my musical palate (not to mention my vinyl collection). We recently moved to a new home that I never thought we'd be able to afford. We have been unbelievably lucky and blessed. I came to this board within 30 seconds of Maccascruff telling me about it and I haven't looked back.

Oh, by the way, there is nothing more important in life than being happy. I don't mean happy for a brief moment every once in a while. I mean being a truly, deeply inwardly happy person. |

Well... most of you know me, but I'll still do this, so there!
I'm Bridget. I'm a photoagrapher by trade but now disgusted as a law student. I'm now working as a paralegal for an immagration law firm but hope to pratice enterinament law when I'm on the bar. I'm a proud homeowner of a victorian home built in 1885 in downtown Detroit (in the old Irish neighborhood called Corktown) which I share with my boyfriend Skip. I've been with my boyfriend for almost 8 months now, my drummer boy as I call him. He plays in a band here in Detroit called Hotness. I read constantly, play music every waking moment of my life, travel back and forth to NYC (my home), watch movies all the time. I work on my vintage Vespa and cars. Skip and I each have an older car, I have '64 Jag and he has a '66 Mustang (the Jag's under repair, thanks Skippy!). I collect vintage clothing and purses, as well as vinyl. Hmm...I don't know what else since so many of you all ready know me! |

I'm Linda and I'm old--55 to be exact. I live in Boulder, Colorado in an apartment with my two cats--Sir Abbey Road and Lady Paulie McCartney. I am retired from the Internal Revenue Service--did I really work there for over 25 years? I am currently employed part time as an accountant for a women's boutique. I am also job hunting. Never married, no kids except for my fur babies. I am having a relationship the second time around with somebody I met at the IRS. We got back together in January and I am enjoying myself and I hope he is. I get totally frustrated by his traveling, but I knew that was his life at the moment. I love Paul McCartney and the Beatles. I spend too much time at this computer. I enjoy going to women's basketball and volleyball games.

I'm another one of the oldies here. I'm Diane and I'm 51 years young, I think.
I live 60 miles west of Chicago on a farmette which is good cause we have lots of pets. I've lived in this area basically all my life. I married my high school sweetheart and have been married 30 years. Even though I'm a college graduate, I never wanted a career but chose to be a domestic goddess. I was a stay at home mom and raised 5 kids~~3 girls and 2 boys. I am so blessed to have them. That may sound boring but that's all I've ever really wanted. Most of my adult life has been taking care of people. That's just the way I am.My interests are in my family, my 7 dogs and 4 cats, I like to garden and grow my own food and flowers. I enjoy cooking and cooking shows. I love music and play the piano mostly classical. I'm obsessed with the Beatles!! They are my favorite of all. |

Most of you know that I'm Clare. I'm 31 and I live about an hour north of Melbourne, Australia with my three year old daughter Charlotte. My sister Meg lives with us on a semi-regular basis. I'm single and have been for three and a half years. I am almost indecently obsessed with Paul McCartney and have been since I was eight years old. I spend far too much time on the Internet, I love listening to music (60s, 70s) and singing at the top of my lungs and I like green jellybeans. ETA: I'm also the Global Moderator here - so be nice.

Haven't been on-line lately. I think many of you know about me but anyway here we go... I am french speaking from Montreal Canada. I am forty something, married with 2 sons taller than me. I am a teacher in elementary school. I love my job... in fact it is a passion more than a job ! My second passion is The Beatles. Beatles are part of my life since a long time and I can'r have enough. I am on-line since 2000 when I find Ringo Starr forum and then I found Wingspan. (I remember Dorothy from back then). I can say I am addicted since 2001. I am a quiet poster but I can be an active reader from time to time. One of the higher point in my life was when I saw Paul in concert in Toronto last year. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was magic. My dream is to live in London for awhile. It may come true next year. I am planning something and just hope it will be possible. Well, I guess that is it. This is me in Venice last summer. ![]() |

OK, Here goes.. My names Emilee, but it is pronounced exactly the same as Emily. I'm fifteen years old and in year 10 at school, but I guess I finish [unofficially] at the end of this week - only two years to go! I live in a very small country town (well, it's actually not big enough to be classified as a town, more a village) in rural New South Wales Australia. It has a population of only about 400 people and I go to the local Central School, which has a population of 150 from Kindergarten to year 12, so i've done my entire schooling here, which is kind of nice. My town is quiet, yet gossipy and there isn't much to do, but we usually find something and have learn't to make our own fun. I love music, it is my absolute passion and I was raised with it. My parents are both in a band and have been since before I was born (thats how they met). They do mainly 50's and 60's stuff, so I've always grown up with that kind of music. I'm also interested in Arts, Photography, Writing, Travel, Reading & Writing. In terms of a career im indecisive and have no set goals, but I know what I like and all I want out of life is to have fun, learn new things, meet good people, hopefully travel a little and overall just be happy. Oh, and I absolutely love it here.

I'm Kristin (yes, I spell it with, "IN" as opposed to "EN"). I'm fourteen and I'm from the tiniest little state of Rhode Island.... which some people think is just the eastern half of Connecticut  I've been a Beatles fan since April 17th of this year. It was exactly one week after my birthday, and I was listening to my first ever Beatles CD (Beatles 1). It was a joyous day indeed My hobbies include The Beatles (:P duh!), singing, playing my out-of-tune piano, drawing, playing with my little kitty, whose name is unofficially Nugget (and just petting my older kitty, Jack the pumpkin King), watching Monty Python, swooning over Eric idle, swooning over Johnny Depp, breathing, um.... yeah I am currently... sitting at a computer typing this and playing a game of solitaire  |

Hi, I'm Olia, 22 years old (not for long). I'm half Greek half Russian and I live in Athens, Greece. I've been to 4 different universities in 3 different cities, and I'm currently majoring in psychology and criminology in an american college here in Athens. My decision-making ability is practically non-existent, but I think I have finally settled for what I really want to do. I play the piano (classicaly trained) and I'm also a self-taught guitar strummer who produces noise. Erm, I like travelling, especially long, quiet train rides. My dream is to go around the world, but for now I'm hoping to at least see as many European countries as possible. I love all things british: the wit, the music, the Premiership, the towns, the countryside, the shops, the beer... Living in England for two years changed me completely and I cherish the experience. Different languages fascinate me and I find it extremely interesting to read about linguistics. I believe Spanish is the most beautiful language in the world. All in all, I'm a shy and boring person who likes the Beatles

I'm Lisa and I'm 46, which would put me in the "old" but ragingly cool crowd. I am married for the second time to a wonderful guy. We have a daughter who is five and the light of our lives and three silly cats. I have lived in Maryland for the majority of life, and in spite of this I still consider myself cosmopolitan. I have had a long career in journalism, but have spent the last four years at home with our Gracie, which has been a blast. It looks like I am now back in the swing of things though with an honest-to-goodness job editing really tedious material from home! Whee! I love, in no particular order, my family and friends (both real time and online), photography, reading, art, theater, music, animals, travel, good science fiction, and naturally, the Beatles and John Lennon (which I consider separate entities). |

Great thread... I'm Janet, I'm 42 and I live in sunny and very hot and humid, Miami, FL USA. I've been married to my husband Steve for 9 years but together with him 14. We have two lovely little girls - Casey age 7 and Amber age 6 (whose picture has been on this site multiple times) who keep me extremely busy and on my toes. I work full time for a very good international insurance company whose benefits include on-site daycare, preschool and elementary to grade 5. I work in I/T in Telecom - basically I tell folks I play phone games all day. I'm responsible for programming, maintaining and setting up all of our toll-free telephone numbers. I do not like my job, but it's 3 miles from home, no traffic, no commute, no stress, fantastic pay, and the kids are on the grounds, so I'm basically trapped there. I could never find anything so convenient at the same pay. My passion is Paul... I love the Beatles, however, I enjoy Wings just as much, as well as most of Paul's solo stuff. I listen to nothing but oldies (60's-70's). My parents live in paradise - in Key Largo on the water, so we go boating, fishing, lobstering and have a boat available at all times. I'm big on planning and saving for my future. I've saved all my life to retire at 55 and I think it's likely. We've paid off our house, our cars, our kids' college and now we're saving for a nice camper to use to travel around and look for a retirement piece of property. OK, I've rambled on too much.... Nice to meet you!

Once upon a warm autumn day in a magical land called New York, a reasonably handsome young boy met a pretty girl with fiery red hair and small but perky breasts in his oceanography class. Her family was Irish Catholic and his was some random Christian denomination, but against these insurmountable odds, they fell in love and held hands while they walked through the park, because this was back when teenagers never had sex and everyone always behaved in a dignified fashion (if you believe that, I know of this bridge for sale...). After high school, the young man went to a military college and the young girl, now a blossoming young woman (but not blossoming everywhere, much to the young man's chagrin), went to a women's college. They saw each other about once a month and communicated through the primitive technologies of the day, such as telephones and something called the post office. After college, the young man joined a private club that called itself the United States Marine Corps. When the young woman graduated from college, the young man put on his club uniform and presented the young woman with a shiny bauble in an archaic ritual they called a "proposal". They agreed to bound each other matrimonially just as soon as the young man was finished with some club business. As a young officer in his little club, the young man journeyed to an enchanted land called Vietnam, where he rode a tall white horse and stormed castles and met exotic young princesses who presented some of his fellow knights with exotic treasures called syphilis and gonorrhea. As a betrothed gentleman in love, the young man never sought audience with any princess himself (he claims). One day, the young man, now much older, returned to his homeland. His young lady fair, still young, was working for a magical organization called the city comptroller's office, the details of which I never fully grasped. She recognized that her gallant young suitor had changed in unforeseen ways as a result of his crusades, but she wanted nothing more than to transform him into her husband so they could skip hand in hand through fields of tall grass and live in a beautiful castle of their own while she knitted tiny things and nagged him to take out the garbage on Wednesdays. Their wedding was a glorious day to remember, especially for her parents, who had to foot the bill. Two years later, the young wife gave life to a beautiful baby girl with fiery red hair. They named the child Megan, after the mother's grandmother. The young man, now graying, was honored by his club with a promotion and more responsibility. The young woman no longer toiled at her mysterious government job and now spent her days raising their child and redecorating their castle in the ghastly patterns of the day. While the young family was living happily ever after, some ignorant assh*le decided to get drunk and plow his car into the young mother's car. The infant girl was badly injured, but would eventually recover. The young mother died the next day. Grieving and without the support systems available today, the father did his best to raise his young daughter on his own and convinced his club to put him through law school, partly as a diversion from his pain and partly to make sure ignorant assholes who kill young mothers never see the light of day again. One night after an especially difficult exam, the father and some of his fellow students hit the town. Hard. This man was never much of a drinker, but all things considered, come on. While at one of the many taverns he visited that night, he met an exceptionally beautiful young woman who rejected every man in the building, except him. She was just passing through on her way back to Europe. He was practically passing out on the floor. Although sufficiently hammered, one of his tiny sperm managed to thrust its way into the exceptionally beautiful young woman's egg. Neither of them was aware of this, and the young woman flew to Amsterdam the next day. Try as he might, the man could not remember the next day. But he did go on to graduate with honors, pass the bar exam and become a respected attorney. The exceptionally beautiful young woman settled into her home about 20 minutes from Amsterdam (depending on traffic) and went back to the daily toil of convincing hormonal teenagers to do their homework. Although she was a very healthy eater, she quickly gained weight. Eventually, I got tired of amniotic fluid and a womb without a view and burst through the exceptionally beautiful young woman's vagina, leaving a trail of blood and tissue in my wake. The rest, as they say, is everything. |

Hello, everybody!! I'm Tim. I turned the big 5-0 this year. Trying to think of it as something "positive"!!
I live in New Albany, Indiana which is right across the Ohio River from Louisville Ky. My 2 sisters, their families and I all live in the same subdivision that we grew up in. Family is so VERY important to me. I am divorced but go out on dates when the opportunity presents itself. Music is my life. I play in a small cover band here in town called "Flathead Screw". I believe I am the only one on this site to have experienced Beep's (Chad's) band live. (A pleasure, by the way!) I live and breathe Beatles/Paul McCartney and have a very extensive collection of music and memorabilia. I collect CD's and DVD's of almost all genre's. At the moment I'm thinking of getting into model trains as another expensive hobby. I work for a large insurance company in Louisville and enjoy my free weekends. Also into food (sushi being one of my favorites) and reading a good book. |

Bradley (Brad) is the name. I am 35 (almost 36) and I am as single as they come. My dad had Parkinson's disease and died in February. I was living here in Georgia helping care for him until he died. I plan to move to Alabama (wat up Olen and Tassy!) as soon as I find a decent job. I went to Universtiy of Georgia (go Bulldogs!) but never finished. I have a sister and two brothers, 1 niece and 5 nephews. I'm pretty boring |

Well, here's another clue for you all, the Walrus was Paul...
|
Rose isn't my first name...its my middle name!
(its also the name I use online)I am in my 40's. My husband and I have been together for 30 years...26 of them married. I have 2 sons who are both 6'2", incredibly handsome and in college.
I am 5'9" tall...and have dark brown hair and brown eyes. I have loved the Beatles...and Paul...since I was 9 years old. (I consider myself to be a 2nd generation fan..since I was too young to really appreciate them when they first came to the US) I am left-handed I love to read, I am a HUGE fan of Stephen King. I love all kinds of music..but mostly stuff from the 60's... I LOVE movies, especially romantic comedies and movies that make me laugh...and 'old' movies. I have a photographic memory...and I retain the most ridiculous and inane trivia. I am very cynical when it comes to online sincerity and honesty. I love to write...stories...poems...or just in my journal. I have a 4 month old German Shepherd puppy named Kaia. I work part-time in a bookstore and LOVE it. I am a good judge of character...and my first impressions of people...are usually right. I tend to overthink most things...and obviously...I have an incredible tendency to ramble aimlessly.

I love reading everyone's stories! You all have very interesting lives! As for me... My Mom and Dad are both Irish. My Dad is from the small port town of Arklow and my Mom is from Dublin. My mom is Protestant and my Dad was Catholic, so there was a little bit of drama when they became engaged. A few of my Mom's relatives stopped speaking to her, but considering the severity of the conflict between Catholics and Protestants in Ireland back then, their engagement was taken surprisingly well by most of their friends and family. Tired of Ireland, my parents moved to New Jersey where they got married. They only spent a couple years there when they decided that New Jersey wasn't for them and moved back to Ireland. A couple years after that, in 1988, I was born. I lived there less then a year when my parents decided to move to Connecticut. We spent a year there until my extremely decisive parents decided to move back to Ireland again. Then when I was four years old we moved to the U.S. again, this time to Columbus, Ohio. I've lived in Columbus since then. I've been fortunate enough to make several trips back to Europe. As a kid, I spent many summers with relatives in Ireland. I now attend Miami University in Oxford Ohio. I'm a freshman (18) and I'm planning on double majoring in International Studies and History. In my junior year I'm going to study abroad in Miami's Luxembourg castle. My dream is to join the Peace Corpes and then become a Foreign Service Officer. I want to work in many different countries and help develop relations between the U.S. and Foreign countries. I love animals and have a dog and a cat. I also love reading, photography, history, and of course, music. I play the flute and listen to pretty much every kind of music, but my favorite is 60s/70s. And of course my favorite band is the Beatles. |

I'm proud to be the first in my family born in the United States of America! (Both my parents are from Greece.) 2 sisters, 4 daughters and 1 wife.
My earliest memory in life was of Oswald's rifle (allegedly ) being paraded in the halls of the Dallas police station.
The second was of the Beatles on Ed Sullivan!
First Beatles album (indeed, album period) was Magical Mystery Tour. Too seeing Paul with the girls and the first song they heard live was 'Hello, Goodbye.'Met my wife in college, well she was just 17, and you know what I mean! I was on the 12 year plan.
Worked my way through school by working for a food and music festival company. Started as a beer hauler, moved up to food and beverage coordinator and then finally event manager. Did festivals in Chicago (obviously,) Milwaukee, St Paul-Minneapolis, Denver, Memphis, Fort Lauderdale, Corpus Christi and Kahuku, Oahu, Hawaii. Also managed a bar, owned a limousine, owned a used car lot and repair facility, and owned a restaurant. Finally graduated with majors in Accounting and Management. We've been married for 14 & 1/2 of the 28 years that we've known each other.Right now life revolves around Gigi, 13, Ariana, 10, Thalia, 7 and Melina, 4. Homework helper and taxi cab service provider, that's what I am. (that's along with a 60 hour work week. ) I love sports. My favorite is hockey but I play very infrequently now. Golf and bowling are more my age . 6 trips to Greece to visit relatives have allowed me to also visit London, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfort and Rome. Cancun and Puerto Vallarta have also been destinations outside the U.S. I've seen Paul 10 times. That explains why I'm here and I just bored you with all this.

My name is Molly, and I'm 34 years old. I live in the wonderful city of Buffalo, NY, but originally from the great smalltown called, Wellsville. I'm single, but am getting acquainted with someone in CA, so I could be non single soon.
I work as a "Disaster Monisor" for this damage adjustment company. I listen to fires and report them. I'm also on a job hunt, and planning on going back to school for hospitality management. I'm visually impaired. I have some vision in my left eye, and totally blind in my right. I have an older sister and brother who both live in the Boston, MA area, and my Mom lives in Wellsville. My father passed away four years ago from bile duct cancer which spread to his liver. I love all types of music, except most rap and opera. I'm a HUGE fan of British sitcoms, especially Are You Being Served?, Black Adder and The Office. My dream is one day move to Boston, MA (not just because my family lives there) and visti the UK and Australia. |

Not to take away your other accomplishment, but there's no such thing as a truly photographic memory. We discussed memory in psychology class and people who claim to have photographic memory have been psychologically tested. It turns out that they really just have developed very strong and often unconscious pneumonic devices to better organize information and therefore remember it better. In truth, everyone can develop a "photographic memory" if taught the right techniques. |

Pneumonic has to do with the lungs. Pneu meaning "air" . I think Garcie meant mnemonic. Which is to "aid the memory."

When explaining something~it helps to know what you're explaining. Better pay more attention in class. Many people have good memories and recall~and say they have a Photographic Memory, nothing wrong with that, they don't have to be corrected.

I knew what I was talking about, just an accidental misspelling. And photographic memory implies that you literally take a mental photograph of something. That's simply not the case. If anything not calling it a photographic memory is a complement, because it means that people who believe they have it are actually really intelligent and good at organizing information as opposed to simply having the ability to take mental photographs. Anyway, this is getting very off topic so I'll leave it with this. No one has Photographic Memory |

I'm Jana Webre. It's is a cajun name, so the spelling is screwed up and so is the pronunciation. We say Weber others in my husbands immediate family say Webb. I'm 57, just old enough for Paul. My birthday is May 30. I have three children and 10 grandchildren. I love photography, which is how I make my living (if you want to call it that...lol). I also do website design. It seems as though I never have quit going to school, I love to learn. I have degrees in photography, psychology, and graphic arts. My hobbies are varied and wide: genealogy, history, gardening, vegetarian cooking, quilting, scrapbooking, painting, listening to music and reading. I read every night before I go to sleep, even if I am just getting to bed at 4 in the morning because I have been out covering a news story! I read probably 4-5 books a week. We live on a small farm...I call it a 'farmette', in the sticks of Oklahoma, which is where I was born and raised. I have a cat sanctuary. People seem to think this is the place to dump mommas with babies...and I guess they are right! I take care of them and have them fixed and find homes for them if I can, if not...they have a place to live out their lives. Right now there are over 30 cats. They run free...I don't believe in cages for them. They all line up at the barn in the evenings and mornings to get their dishes filled! We also have three dogs. In the past I have raised a coyote and a squirrel. Both were great pets. They came to me as abandoned babies also. That's pretty much it for me

We've been married for 14 & 1/2 of the 28 years that we've known each other.
