Londontown; Paul sighting at Cavendish

My dream of over 40 years finally came true. All my years of waiting for Paul have paid off. Yesterday, Lauren and I went to Cavendish. We were hanging around and Lauren heard a car door and then another one. Then I saw a certain someone in an upstairs window. We knew then we were in for a treat. The gate opened and the Lexus drove out with Paul in it! I'm standing on the street screaming OMG, OMG, OMG. Kept saying it all day long.

This trip to London certainly was worth every dime. My dream finally came true. It wasn't a crowd of fans either. Just Lauren and me and one other woman and her child. Lauren was calm. I wasn't in the least bit calm. :P I'm still dreaming about it and remembering it. I have a picture of the car pulling out of the driveway, but can't tell on the screen if you can see Paul.

I have died and went to heaven on earth. ;)

Linda - that is great. I couldn't be happier for someone, unless it was myself! I know how special that moment was for you. Great timing, girl!!

When was the time you were in Cavendish?

I went too, and two guys and a girl were hanging out there, but the gate was closed and all the windows were dark. I think he already left by the time I was there. Or maybe I left too early ^_^

This should be in the Paul section, I guess, but I'm happy to leave it here as it's a personal dream come true for you & something you'd want to share with everyone on the forum. :)

That is really wonderful for you, Linda... I remember how happy and elated I was when I saw Paul in that very same road. I'm really very sorry we didn't get to meet and I'm absolutely baffled as to how we missed each other. Even though we were a little late because of Fiona's Mom's mobility difficulties, we were at Covent Garden tube for over 40 minutes waiting until 11:30. :(

I think Fiona has explained everything in the PM, but glad you had a great time in London anyway. ^_^

Yeah, I saw Linda had seen something which is when she saw Paul in the window. Later, I spoke to Hamster (John Hammel) who had not seen us as they left the house.

I will do a review when I get some sleep and gather my thoughts. The trip was very fast. Best part was seeing Paul at Cavendish. Worst part was missing Andy and Fiona for brunch. I was waiting. They were waiting--apparently in different places at the same tube station. :(

I'd say it was between 10:30 AM to 11 AM. Am I close to the time, Lauren? We went right there from my hotel and really didn't have to wait long. When I figure out how to download my pictures to the computer, I will post Paul coming out of the gate.

I'm still grinning from ear to ear--was doing so all across the Atlantic yesterday. :P

Lauren heard a car door, then we both heard another car door. Then my eyes caught Paul in the window. Lauren immediately asked what I had seen and I said someone was in the upstairs window. Wasn't long until the gates opened and here came the Lexus. :hyper:

In Paul's Arms!
How exciting, Linda. I felt the same way, only kept thinking OMG I SHOOK HIS HAND!!!! A year later and it still makes me very excited. Just wish I could have taken a picture but friends of mine took his picture as Paul was arriving not more than 10 ft. in front of us.

That's fantastic, Linda! I just wish you had been able to meet Fiona and Andy...but those things happen.

Seeing Paul really made the whole thing worthwhile, though, and I'm very happy for you! :D

I still can't believe I flew over there--working on Wednesday, arriving on Thursday, seeing the town and Paul with Lauren on Friday and then the premiere at the RAH that night, then trying to find Andy and Fiona on Saturday, seeing Spamalot and dinner and then flying back to Denver last night. I got home at midnight.

I think it's time to say good night.

I was worried when you didn't come to dinner. Wish you'd been there.

It was a treat. Ask Lauren how I acted! I was going nuts. I'll figure out how to get the pictures of the camera and on here over the weekend.

Jayne, next time, I hope to be in the UK longer and it will include a trip to Liddypool.
