Whenever I've watched the news, I've hardly noticed that cross, because it's too small and insignificant. For anyone to notice it they’d have to go right up to the TV to see what they are. |

From the picture, the cross looks very small and not noticeable. |

Don't forget, that picture is a close-up, but on a normal TV screen at a normal distance away, you'd hardly notice it. Talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill

Idiotic nonsense! Who gives the people who make decisions about what is PC and what is non PC the right to decide? It doesn't seem to have emerged as a result of a complaint or even a query. Worse still why does everyone else conform? It drives me nuts. I'm all for respect for differences, consideration and when neccessary compromise but this is just plain bonkers in my opinion. Grrrrrr! |

This is taking things too far - if anyone is 'offended' by the newsreader wearing a small cross then they should feel grateful that that's all the have to worry about in life. I can understand that an organisation like the BBC would need to stay neutral and would understand completely if they banned a newscaster from wearing a badge or pin with a political view or slogan, but a small cross? It's hardly forcing a religious belief on the viewers. It's just sad that we're that frightened of offending people these days. |

Honestly, no matter what your persuasion, if THAT's the worst thing you see on the news all day, then what a good day it's been! |
