That's thoughtful, Dotty. ^_^

I'd also like to add my wishes for Amber to make a quick & complication-free recovery from her condition. :sweet:

Janet, I am so sorry to hear that Amber is still stuck in the hospital. I'm hoping she'll be able to pee on her own very soon. The things we take for granted!!

I wanted to post a cute photo here to help pick up Amber's spirits, but when we bought our new computer, we switched to an iMac and I still haven't learned the basics yet. Oh well, I'll get it posted here someday soon, I hope.

One of my kitties is undergoing a blood transfusion today and surgery tomorrow to remove his spleen and to have biopsies done on his liver and spleen. We won't know the outcome until late next week, as to whether he has cancer or just what the problem is. He's lost half of his body weight (down from 15 lbs. to 8 lbs.) and his red blood cell count is at 11 percent (normal is 35 percent). I'm a very worried mom, too. He's like my child. Maybe you can tell Amber that she's not the only one stuck in the hospital right now. ;)

Don't forget to take care of YOURSELF. :)

Janet: Oh feeling so bad for you all...but I hope that things are looking up for Amber and the pee comes soon (even though that's an odd thing to say really ^_^ ). I so understand about the catheter, little ones are so sensitive at this age and to put her through that kind of trauma has to be heart-rending for you. I hope the situation resolves somehow in a way that either means no catheter or at least some way to make it easier for Amber.

Bev: Best of luck to you and your sweet cat. It worries me to hear about the dramatic weight loss. I lost my dear cat a couple of years ago after long bouts of medical treatment, so I hope for the best for you both.

And Janet, here's a little something for Amber:

These friends are getting ready to dig into the celebration cake for Amber because they know she'll get better soon so everyone can PARTY!

I AM THE BIGGEST JOHN FAN!
Aww Jay Jay and Amber. Bless both of you. I know how hard this is. When my youngest son, who is now nearly 21 years old, was 6 he was kicked in the groin by a much older boy who was doing kung fu on the playground at school. It crushed his urethra and by the time he was 8 years old he had had 3 surgeries to repair the damage. He suffered many urinary tract infections due to the initial stricture that is caused and he was allergic to so many antibiotics that is was hard to find something that would work. His final surgery to repair the damage kept him in the hospital for 3 weeks and then he went home with a catheter in place for another 6 weeks after that. It was a horror at the time but the childrens hospital at UNC Chapel Hill did a wonderful job. He is now a happy healthy adult male with everything in working order as it should be.

I have you and your family in my heart and prayers. I know that Amber is a chip off the old block and will be doing fine in no time at all.
You say you want to save humanity but it`s people that you just can`t stand
John came to me in a dream and this is what he said. "I had a vision of a man on a flaming pie, and he told me that Betsy with a B not Lisa with a L is the biggest fan of mine". John trumps 'the boss' !

Oh gosh... you are all so sweet, you bring tears to my eyes. I want to respond to each one of your posts, but I cannot at the moment, but every single one of them is so special. Bev - I hope your cat will be ok... Animals are part of the family so I can sympathize with you. Thanks for the beautiful animation Dorothy and I'll show Amber the kitty pics, jacaranda - how ADORABLE! Thanks to eveyone else with well wishes. You guys have been in contact more than most of my friends!

Quick update because I am actually back at work. Amber was released from the hospital last night and got home around 10pm. I had to take a break from there and came back to work yesterday, my husband taking my day shift and my Dad doing nights. But the surgeon released her yesterday, we are able to catheter her now and we're doing it every 4 hours. She's now handling it very well. If you had asked me 2 weeks ago if I would ever be able to do that, I would have laughed in your face. It's amazing what we can do when we have to.

Docs say the nerves should repair themselves and the ability to pee should come back but it may take a couple of weeks, and then even after that we have to continue to catheter to get the residual to prevent UTI's. So I'm not sure if there is a light at the end of this tunnel or not, but at least she's out and walking and I thank God for that.

OK, I HAVE to get back to work. I love all of you!

Janet, so glad to read some positive news about Amber. She is such a trooper and her mom's a pretty tough cookie, too!! :D

I guess at this point it's just a "one day at a time" proposition. At least she's on the road to recovery and that scary surgery is out of the way. I'll save all my best pee jokes for another time. ;)

Don't forget to take care of yourself. We're thinking of you and sending good thoughts your way. :)

Janet: Great to hear that Amber is out of the hospital. As Bev said, it is a "one day at a time" moment, but I hope that every passing day brings more improvement. I also hope you can get a home health nurse to come by at least occaisonally to check in on how she's doing. I'm glad you and Laura enjoyed the photo. It comes from this adorable site.

As always, thanks so much for your kind and inspiring words, links, and info! Not much improvment with the pee pee issue; we're catheterizing every 4 hours, and believe it or not, she's now giving us NO PROBLEM whatsoever with it. Jeez, it seems like it would hurt, but she's taken fine to it and even tries to get more out! She likes to get as much pee pee in the urinal as she can and then she's so proud afterwards... Such a TROOPER!!!

Tomorrow I take her to get the stitches out then we go to the school district to sign the final paperwork for her to get on the homebound school program. This process started weeks ago, but they're so slow. If she misses more school because she can't pee, then who knows when she'll go back...

She's back up and about as her usual self, a little sore still, and her incision is extremely itchy, but I know that's a sign of healing so all's well. It's absolutely amazing how fast they heal! :o Now just let the pee pee start coming out!!!

Is Amber in kindergarten or has she already started first grade?? She may wind up getting more out of personalized instruction than sitting in a classroom with 40+ other students, all vying for the teacher's attention. ;)

How's she doing today?? I think of her every time I have to pee.  (I know, I know -- TMI!!)

You guys are friggin' hilarious! :woot: :woot:

Beep - how old are your kids? I have a 7-year old (just 15 months older than Amber) who STILL must wear a pull-up EVERY SINGLE NIGHT!!! I have mentioned this over and over and over again to the pediatrician and more recently the Urologist, and they tell me not to worry, she's just a deep sleeper. I can understand that, but EVERY NIGHT???!!! :hmm: Eventually I'm going to look into this further, however, right now I have my hands full with Amber.

Bev - she's just in Kindergarten. Unfortunately, her birthday is Sept. 8th, so she mised going into Kindergarten last year by 7 days. But that's ok, rather than being the youngest and smallest, she's one of the oldest (and still one of the smallest :P ). There are only 20 kids in her class, I have an elementary school at my work, so she's getting a really good education and the teachers are awesome. Home schooling is fine for now, but she's really missing all her little friends. :( And today her regular teacher emaiiled me to inform me that even though she's on the homebound program she will continue to send the homework and classwork home with her sister.... so now I guess we're supposed to keep up with BOTH! YIKES!!! We're going to be :circles:

My 6- year old wears a pull up every night. We gave up on her. I can put her to bed at 8 and she's wet before 8:30. She's just lazy. But we're trying to work hard with the 5 year old, so that maybe she can get past this. My 8 year old hasn't wet the bed since she was 3.

Wow! Three of them, eh? All girls? I decided to give up the baby-making after two. And you're just behind me in age with the little ones. Your 6-year old sounds like my 7-year old (Casey). I have about given up on her as well! On Saturday night, she fell asleep on the couch while watching TV and about 30 mintues later, I noticed she had pee'd in her jeans, and therefore, on my couch! It seems that no matter if I send her to the bathroom, wake her before I go to bed or cut her off any liquids after dinner, it doesn't matter. She's never dry... I did exactly what you are doing - i.e. 5 nights dry earns a prize, but I think she earned a total of 2 prizes since she was about 4. I've all but totally given up.

Don't sweat it guys. Most Dr.s now believe that there isn't a set age when young kids start staying dry at nite. Personally, I had "accidents" right up til age 12. Of course that may also have been due to my kidney problems. However, 1 of my brothers had no such problem, and he wet the bed til the same age.

Michael Landon did as well. He made a movie about it. I'll see if I can look it up. Might be worth watching.

And hey, the time I've wasted running to the biffy lately, has had me seriously debating buying some "Good Nites" meself!!! :o

Speaking of which, first test done today. After which the Dr. decided I needed another one--on top of the one still coming on Friday. Now he DOES want an MRI. ASAP. Now that's got me a wee bit on the scared side...... :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: Doncha just hate it when they [Docs], get that "careful" expression on their face as they say..."we need more tests". :o :(

Laura is right, there is no "magic" age for kids to be completely potty trained. Nights are particularly hard because some kids are deep sleepers, tolerate varying amounts of liquids better than others.... or a hundred other reasons.
Don't worry you guys WILL survive motherhood (at least I did) It's just hard to see it when you have all these things happening at once.

My Gracie is in kindegarten and the homework is vexing me, so I can imagine that it will bug the crap out of you with the homebound program and the school adding work. How are you feeling, Laura?

A little shakey emotionally. And VERY tired. I had the Urethogram on Friday morning. Y-U-C-K !!!

Which reminds me, on Tues., before the Cystoscopy, they decided I had to have an I.V. inserted. The I.V. girl came--and tried. I have VERYSMALL veins on my equally very small hands. I told her they usually use child-size inserters. I don't think she listened. She poked, and poked and POKED! YEOUCH !!! She finally had to give up, and said the Dr. would have to do it, up in the O.R.--where they do these kinds of tests--asleep or awake. [I was awake]. ANYways, up there they said..."oh! we didn't ask for I.V." :o NOW they tell me!!!   What the Doc was going to do didn't require one, and the antibiotic he wanted to give me could be given just as easily by injection. Which they did. After the Cystoscopy. BOY...did I wish I was Amber's age! So I could throw one hell of a screaming tantrum!!! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :realmad:

The Doc also freaked me out during the test, by suddenly saying, "I feel a mass somewhere around here." Then told me he was going to book an MRI, [yes, this time it IS an MRI], for a more detailed "look". By the time I finally reached my GP Doc, on Wed., I was A WRECK!!! She tried to reassure me whatever he--the specialist--"felt" probably wasn't too terribly serious. But, you know my imagination.......... :hyper:

So.....like I said, emotionally, I'm pretty shakey right now, and ...............

I WANT MY MOOOOOMMMMIEEEEE....................... :baby:

Laura, so sorry to hear about your rotten trip to the hospital. I had a similar incident happen to me with a nurse who couldn't find the broad side of a mule with a needle and I DID throw a tantrum!! I gave an earful to the head of the department and he wound up having to insert the needle after the first nurse had tried and FAILED THREE TIMES!!

I don't blame you one bit for being nervous. Sometimes these darn doctors have no bedside manners and don't think about the fact that they are treating REAL PEOPLE with real fears and emotions. I'm so sorry you had to go through that experience.

Here's hoping for a good outcome on your MRI. Keep us posted and I'm sending positive thoughts your way. :)

LITTLE LAURA

:baby:

How's Amber doing?

I'm sorry to hear of the way you were treated, Laura. It frustrates me that medical professionals sometimes don't appear to listen to the patient sometimes when they really should - I witnessed it a lot when my father was being treated for cancer... although I still maintain that the treatment he received from the Oncology department of his hospital was fantastic and the vast majority who worked there were doing absolutely wonderful work in very difficult circumstances.

Hope you're feeling a little better now - and Amber, of course. :sweet:
...and in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.

Janet: Hope that Amber, and you , your husband and your other little one are all doing well.

Laura: I HATE when they are so terrible with needles. It just sucks big time really. I hope that you are doing a bit better since the doctor was so blunt with you. Please keep us posted on how you're doing.

Laura,
That is AWFUL!! I can sure sympathize with you. After my husband's cancer surgery he has had nothing but problems with needles and his veins. One time he went in for follow up tests and the guy tried 5 times and couldn't get it. After that he lives with a rule of three. He tells them going in they have 3 chances that's it or else he is outta there. Of course he has to go back because he needs tests all time to check and make sure the cancer hasn't resurfaced.

I hope things get better for you soon and you get some answers.

Hi Everyone... Thanks, as usual, for all your kind words and support.
(((Laura))) so sorry to hear that you're having such a horrible time with everything. I really do hope and pray that the 'mass' turns out to be nothing.

Sorry I haven' been able to post lately... We just got carpet installed, so had to move EVERYTHING out of all the bedrooms, then we finally got everything back into the bedrooms, we had wood floors installed throughout the rest of the house, so then we had to take EVERYTHING out of the living room, dining room, etc. What a JOB! Whew! But it's DONE.... AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! NO MORE MOPPING!!!!! :boogie:

Anyway, Amber got her stitches out (I believe there were 42), and it was quite painful for her. After I told her it wouldn't hurt, it really did. :( Then in the midst of the trauma she told me that I lied to her. I really didn't think it would hurt, from what I remember it's just a little tug, but they said since this was her 2nd surgery in the same place, it was harder to remove the stitches.

On Friday I took her back to the Urologist with a page full of questions. In a nutshell, we've been reassured that this is a temporary situation, and it may take a couple to several months for this to improve. Even after she is able to pass urine on her own, we will continue to catheter to determine how much urine she is holding (remember the UTI's?), so it sounds like this is going to be a fairly long-term thing... they said expect 6 months to a year of cateters. double  !

Now I'm working on getting her released to go back to school. She REALLY needs to be in school and my parents are driving nearly 100 miles every day to watch her for me. Which reminds me of the WEIRDEST THING.....

Her homebound teacher was there yesterday and I was working from home, and I was in the other room and could hear her talking, and I thought, gosh, her mannerisms were familiar. Long story short, Amber's teacher is a teacher that I had in Jr. HIGH!!! 30 YEARS AGO!!!! :o :o :o :o :o :o How odd is THAT!!!??? She was a typing teacher when I was in 7th grade! Gosh, what a small world!

OK, that's my update.... thanks again to all you fantastic friends who continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Janet, I can't believe you had the stamina to go through all this with Amber and have carpet and hardwoods installed, to boot!!! You are like the Energizer Bunny!! Can you bottle your energy and send some my way?? :hyper:

I'm glad to hear that the pee situation will improve with time and isn't the result of any complication. Your little girl is such a trooper. Isn't it amazing how resilient kids are? I sometimes think they deal with crises better than adults do. ;)

I hope you and your family will have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I know you must be grateful just to have that surgery out of the way. I'm certain that by next Thanksgiving, all of this will just be a distant memory. ;)

Yes, Bev... you are 100% correct. I DO have a LOT to be thankful for this year. My prayers prior to the surgery were simply 'God, please let her walk afterwards!' and those prayers were answered. I honestly don't know how I would have handled it had there been a problem there, but I'm SO THANKFUL that she is fine in that respect. Now I guess I'm getting a bit selfish, however, I continue to pray now that her bladder and bowel control will return to normal, or at least normal enough to allow her to live a life without catheters or diapers/pull-ups/Depends.

As for the floors/carpet, yeah, it was a bit much, but the hubby and I figured it was best to get it done while someone was home rather than taking additional time off for that. I'm so glad it's done! And, yes, I do have much energy and can put the Energizer bunny to shame! lol... the problem is that I don't know how to relax and slow down! It's just not my nature.

I wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving!

OUCH !!! I just looked at Amber's stitches picture. Can I tell ya a funny little story? I've had a LOT of surgery, including too many to count on me feet alone! [most of which was done in childhood.]. For some reason, everytime I see a surgical pic which grosses me out, my feet instantly start hurting! A lot! Funny thing is, I've lost most of the feeling due to all those ops., yet they sure come alive when I see those kinds of things!    Power of the mind, hey?

Anyways. I had staples the last major surgery I had; which was the emergency kidney operation 2 1/2 yrs. ago. That was the first time I'd had those, so I was quite nervous too. I was afraid they'd be removed with a standard stapler remover! :o Well, they do have a special tool, but once I got over my initial fear, I found it quite fascinating. It didn't hurt as much as I thought either. [ I made 'em let me take those staples home with me. And I still got 'em!].

But I can sympathize with poooor Amber tho. Stitches always hurt with kids. I sure remember that!!! Next to needles, & being put to sleep, I was most terrified of stitch-removal.

I'm feeling a bit calmer today. Tomorrow I have my follow-up with my GP. Let's hope she can keep me calm, huh.

Now it's lunch time [here]. Then, as I'm still tired, NAP TIME!!! :D

Janet,
I'm glad to hear that your Thanksgiving gave you some time to rest - at least I hope it did. Amber's incision sure did bring back memories of my son's - his went from next to tail bone. It sure does take a lot out of kids when they have to have spine surgery.
I know it is probably frustrating for you to have to keep up the catheterization. But hopefully that will keep her from getting anymore UTI's. I know that she should be able to return to school - the school nurse should be able to do the procedure. It'll be good for her to be around kids again. It helps them so much.
maybe now you can concentrate of getting to Christmas?

Thanks to you all... Laura, Jacaranda, Beep, Theresa, and good to see you here Donna! Welcome aboard a great place here at SF!

Well, we got the doctor's release finalized with the Homebound school program and she officially goes back to school tomorrow. ***was looking for a YIKES smiley*** lol... I'm a little nervous that the other children may be a little too rough with her but I know she's tough and won't take no sh*t from anyone. ;) No real restrictions except no PE for 2 more weeks, but being in Kindergarten I'm not sure they consider going outside PE or not.

The lady in the office called me today and asked if I would be interested in a nurse taking care of the catheter in school. I said I'd consider it, but it will take a while before she'll let anyone else do it, and it's such a personal thing, I don't think I want a stranger doing it either. Although I suppose having someone there might be a good thing in case of emergency or something... I don't know....

I'm off to pack all her supplies for her big first day.

I'm so glad she's going back! And I have to agree with your feelings on the cath. I don't think I could let someone else do it. But maybe I think that because it's at school, and not at home or a hospital/Dr's. office. :hmm:

She did great... Thanks for asking. She's a tad behind on her sight words and number words (we were working on one through ten but they're on ten through twenty  ) but that is the teacher's fault.

You know, I went over at lunch time to do her catheter and her teacher really p*ssed me off. When I brought her back to class the teacher made a remark about how long this mental condition was expected to last. I WAS SHOCKED!!! I've spoken to this woman countless times giving her updates even from the hospital and she asks something like this? WTF??? My answer to her was "MENTAL??? This is NOT mental!" Then she wanted to know how a back surgery could possibly affect her ability to urinate, and when I explained ONCE AGAIN that the nerves are in shock and are not functioning, she said 'OH, well that makes more sense." Then she made some comment about me stating she had been though behavioral therapy, etc. in the hospital, and she thought that she was just afraid to go. What a twit! This teacher was awesome with my older one (just 15 months older than Amber) but seems to have no sympathy or concern for my little Amber. Am I being over sensitive? :hmm:

No, Amber didn't hear it... there were a couple of kids at her desk when we had this little discussion, but they were preoccupied playing with each other, so I don't think anyone heard. But I've been getting the impression since all of this started that she has very little compassion.

:o :o :o HOW IGNORANT !!!! And awful! :realmad: Where was she during the sensitity training! I REALLY hope Amber didn't hear any of it. And I hate to say this, but you need to make sure, 'cause if she does hear something like that, it is VERY damaging. I know: it happened to me, Not once, but many times. By the time I was thru school, I REALLY believed I WAS "retarded". It took passing a College course with a C+ to convince me otherwise. If I were you I'd speak to the Principal--pronto.

As for my "troubles" nothing new to report. My frustration level has been raised this week when a [VERY rare], blizzard blew in, :cold: making me totally homebound. Sorry to hear about your teacher "exchange". She was obviously out of line with that comment. I'm sure you're tempted to talk to the principal, but if it was me, I'd hold off, and instead write her a thougthful note, expressing your disappointment at her lack of compassion, and would expect her support for Amber now that she's been "informed" of her medical situation in more detail. I'm a Mom to a special-needs child, so believe me, I know when to go over peoples' heads, but it's not always the wise thing to do..................pick your battles carefully. Amber still has most of the school year with this teacher ;)

Oh Janet. I am soooo sorry you had to endure that from Amber's teacher. :( As a teacher myself I am often shocked at how ignorant some professionals can be and because I deal with children with special needs I have seen my fair share of ignorance, believe me. Talking to the principal wouldn't be out of line, if the principal is more compassionate. But you could also heed Marthamydear's advice and try writing a note to the teacher. In any case, an apology is in order from this teacher.
Laura, I wish you could find some relief from your problems. Take care of yourself. :console:

Janet,....what in the world did the teacher mean :hyper:
Professional educators would never think of making a comment like that to a parent.

I have never, ever heard a professional educator in public or private school make a comment like that. I too work with special needs kids (as you know), NONE OF THE TEACHERS OR ADMINISTRATION WOULD EVER DARE MAKING SUCH A COMMENT...Texas would oust ya immediately.

You might want to follow-up on what your options are with the teacher. Are there other teachers that are more sensitive to children and their physical needs?? Amber has been through so much and she does not need a teacher who is not caring and understanding of her needs.

I truly hope things will be better in the school. Amber and Mom don't deserve this type of treatment. Do check out your options.....

Luv to Amber

I appreciate the vote of confidence with my advice! ;) Since Janet already has a good "history" with this teacher, I felt she should first keep it just between them...................and go from there. Sometimes' I think, people don't realize when they are being insensitive (I know, it was SO obvious in this case  ), but I bet, she'd offer up a sincere apoligy if it was brought to her attention in a discreet manner.....................the important thing is for Amber to have a positive and productive year with this teacher, and I'm sure she will when this is settled in a caring and sensitive way.................Let us know, Janet, how this turns out :) Glad to hear there's so many in the "special needs" area around here, I'm becoming an expert out of necessity with my son :sweet:

Yeah, after stepping back from the situation for a few days, I do think Marthamydear is right... I do have a great history with this teacher, and I really don't think she realized how bad what she said sounded. I do think it was total lack of understanding and really listening to what I had told her on the phone before and after the surgery. But looking back, I tried to keep in mind that while I was giving her updates, she had 20+ children in the classroom and maybe couldn't provide her full attention to the conversation, and possibly just misunderstood. She and the office administration have been very good about being proactive and getting Amber to the office as soon as I enter the gate (we have to press a button and tell them why we're there before they'll let us in) so that I don't have to walk down and get her. And she told me yesterday that if I call her when we're done, she'll send students to come pick her up so I don't have to walk her back. So I do see some compassion now.

After 2 weeks of going over at noon to catheterize, I have made the decision to allow the school nurse to do it. It's just too much on me and after speaking with my husband, he agrees. Now I'm going through all the paperwork to get that in place... so much red tape! And everyone knows how horrible doctors are about following up.

In the meantime, Amber is doing much better with me... last night she even told her Daddy that she wanted Mommy to do it becuase I'm gentler! :o FINALLY!

Thanks all of you for keeping Amber in your thoughts. You are the BEST and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

HMMMPH!!! I still think she should be held to account for it. Nip it in the bud, if ya know what I mean. And if any kid overheard that exchange she more or less gave permission for them to say it. Teachers are such a powerful influence, EVERY MOMENT THEY'RE AT SCHOOL !!! It's part of their job to be aware of that--all the time.

Little Laura, I agree with you that the teacher should be held accountable! My suggestion was to write her a note and let her become aware of her mis-step and oversight (badly one at that!!!!!). If Janet hadn't had her for a teacher before, I wouldn't give her so much lee-way, but like I said before.............you'd be surprised how often, people (yes, even teachers) aren't aware of some of their actions.....................poor little Amber has been thru so much, and it would make better sense to keep her with a teacher she's familiar with and to educate that particular teacher to Ambers' situation......... :) Give us updates when you have the chance! ;)
And it really doesn't matter if I'm wrong, I'm right.......Where I belong I'm right..........Where I belong.

Just catching up on this thread. I'm glad you stepped back from the teachers comment. It was an awful thing to say but as you said it was probably a misunderstanding. Marthamydears suggestion is very sensible. How is Amber doing these days? Any idea on how long the catheter will be needed? Is there therapy (physical) involved or is this something that will all of a sudden, one day start to work again? How are you holding up? SO many questions eh!

The most important thing is that Amber's doing better, and that she is unaffected by the whole situation. :)

I am glad that it's sorted, though. Better than it being sordid. :P

Good to see you back, Irene!
Amber is in great spirits... The catheter is like second nature with her now. The hubby and are I pros now!!! REally, she's doing very well, but I'm afraid what's gonna happen when the school nurse starts.

Doctors are telling us that the nerves will eventually heal, but they can't say when for sure. It sounds like it's going to be gradual... she's wet her bed twice so that was good, and she wet her pants one day in school last week, but she didn't feel it coming out. Even when she is able to urinate on her own, we'll still have to catheterize her to get out the residual from her bladder. They've mentioned 6 months to a year is very possible. :o

I'm home with a severe case of bronchitis, my older daughter Casey is home with the flu, Dad isn't feeling well, and Amber's been complaining that her 'coochie' hurts (that's what we call it  ) so we took her on Fridey for a urine culture to check for another UTI. This family is not doing well... Three doctor appts. in 2 days!

(((Laura))) how are you feeling? Any updates?

((((janet)))) I'm so sorry to hear it's raining sorrow at home. After all Amber has been through, to see her still getting UTI has to break your spirit. After all that time being in the hospital, surgery, sleepless nights, has to be a let down for all of you. I hope Amber has feeling soon (you know where) and life can go back to normal.

You know I'm thinking of you all.
