I just awoke from yet another John-related dream. A dream once again sooo real, that it took several long seconds to realize I HAD been dreaming. This time around, [in the dream]..... I'd finally been able to scrape up enough to visit his Memorial Garden in Central Park, [NYC]; a long-held dream of mine. But once there, I found myself hit by a wave of grief so deep & profound, I was too overwhelmed to go right to it. I hadn't been expecting that reaction--it was on the eve of the 26th Anniversary after all. So I had settled on perching on a small mound of nearby rocks & watch those who could go closer. There wasn't a crowd: the actual anniversary was still a couple of months away, & it was the wrong time of day for a lot of people. But there was one person standing right by the garden, wearing large dark sunglasses, a hat pulled low on his face, his head bowed low. His hands were stuffed into the pockets of his black overcoat, and he seemed sooo sad. But that was all I had time to take in, for moments after spotting him, I "enjoyed" another NYC "pass-time": I got mugged. I suddenly felt someone hit me from behind, knocking me off the mound I was sitting on, and yanking my purse with such force it was ripped right off it's strap. The next thing I knew I was lying on the ground; with the man in hat & sunglasses, now off, kneeling beside me; apologising profusely about how sorry he was he couldn't move fast enough to stop the mugger--or get to me before I hit the ground. I barely heard him. I was transfixed by his face: John Lennon had come to my rescue! I must be dead I thought--how else could he be right there looking down at me? Well it made a kind of sense....this was his memorial...I guess his spirit might visit it..... When I next woke up I was in Emergency, the same emergency John had died in sooo many years ago. Outside in the hall, there was complete chaos & pandemonium. 'What happened', I asked groggily, 'what's going on out there?' The Dr.'s smiled, one of them saying, 'You're gonna be famous', he said. 'Turns out the man who came to your aid is the up-until-now unknown "little brother" of John Lennon'. 'WHAT ?!!!' I almost yelled. WHAT "little brother"?!' The Dr.s seemed to ignore me, went right on chatting calmly to each other. 'Could be twins, the resemblance is that strong.' said one. 'Yes', said another, 'if you allow for 15 yrs. age difference.....' Another mused ' wonder how he managed to keep below the press or public radar all this time?' 'Guess he won't be able to anymore' the 1st Dr. chuckled. 'Will SOMEone please tell me what the !!!##*** you're talking about?' I pleaded. 'Why don't you let him explain it to you himself?' the 1st Dr. replied, gesturing behind him. And there he was again. John Lennon--a slightly sad smile on his face. But, but....but..... Unfortunately right then I woke up. WHY does one ALWAYS wake up just at THE most pivotal moment in dreams? Hey! I wanna know the END of this dream. I didn't even get a name.[sniff]. But MAN! It was soooooo REAL! |

I want to know the end too, Laura! I have a reoccuring Paul dream that always involves water. I've also had a very strange John dream that involves fog and clouds. I've yet to ever have a George or Ringo dream. Please finish that dream and get back to us! |

Wow what a dream Laura, very compelling. Sounds like you could make a good short story out of this if you were to continue it... BTW, I'm jealous of you guys, I never have Beatle dreams! :hmm: |

Me too! It seems I always dream about John when I've been stressed out. Wonder what a shrink would make of that?!!!
 Oh yeah,.....I tried posting this at Macca, but tho I signed in successfully, when I tried to post it it kept coming back "critical error--could not connect to database". So I tried ANY Topic, nadda, nope, nothing. His Homepage came up fine,as did any other link--except the Message Board. Huh? I HAD been browsing there only minutes before. Maybe my dream post caused it to crash!

I once dreamed I was having a calm conversation with John. We were sit at a table, drinking coffee and talk like it was very natural. My favorite dream ever. I had other dreams involving the Beatles. I have no time now. Will come back later to tell you about. |

It was just so natural, sitting there and talking with John. I wasn't over excited (in my dream). I was weird but so pleasant. I woke up smiling that morning. I had another dream: I was going to see Paul on concert and I was searching the door of the concert hall. Then I saw Paul passing near me. I ask him (it was a dream because I would have faint before asking anything!!!!) how we can enter the place. He said:Follow me. And we pass back stage and we stay on stage for the first song then gone to our places. very very exciting! |

A few of my Paul dreams have been like that too - in that it was all very natural and pleasant. I do have one dream in which Paul rescues me from a train that is filling up with water. Just when I think I can't get out, there he is with his special words of wisdom "let it be". This is so significant to me that I'm getting that tattooed on my shoulder. Did you get good seats in to the concert in your dream?

WOW!! Paul is really your hero !!! Yes the seats were very good. It was amazing. It was a few weeks after I saw his concert in Toronto. That one was real!! |

Laura, I agree with Lisa, your dream would make a very interesting story if you can add an ending to it. Maybe you can make something up if you can't pick it up again in another dream. As far as I can recall, I'd never had any Beatle dreams whatsover until a few weeks ago when I had one about Paul, of all people! I can't recall it very well now, but it was nice...we got to spend some time together and I felt he needed some cheering up and I was very happy to find myself alone with him. We just talked, but I felt that he is quite lonely. Real "profound" considering everything that is happening to him in realty, but it was a pleasant dream. I'd love more than anything to "meet" John in my dreams. #9, #9, #9...! Merry

I've had plenty of Paul dreams and they are mostly x-rated. I've never dreamed about another Beatle. |

Craziness... How many dreams of this nature did you have? And yeah, waking up towards the end of a dream is always brutal. Funny... 2 nights ago, I had a dream in which I was walking down the hallway of a school, when I saw a man crouched down on the floors with his head in his hands. I stopped, and asked what was wrong... and he stood up and collapsed into tears in my arms... it was Paul McCartney. I've had at least 3 of these dreams, all in different locations. The first one was in and around when I first heard of his divorce. The last of the 3 was heavily on my mind since.. and after thinking about it, I realized that perhaps it was simply reminding me that even our teachers/idols, feel afraid and vulnerable at times; they're not superheroes... they bleed as we do and feel pain as we do. There are days when I can't help but wonder..."Why is it so difficult to get all this established? How patient do I have to be to accomplish my goals, short-term or long-term?" That's when I realize that Paul most definitely had his moments of smashing his forehead onto his piano kyeboard thinking, "Oh what now?? Where is this bloody song going???" We all struggle; we're all human. I was just very sad after experiencing these dreams... especially the first one because I suspected he was probably struggling emotionally at the time. My heart was heavy all day...

Oooooh that makes me sooooo sad. I could feel his pain, MMGirl., as I read what you wrote.
Actually, I've been feeling badly for Paul often now. Even if he has managed to avoid serious depression over Heather, I've almost cried several times thinking about it. This is just sooooo unfair. YES, life is unfair, and Paul would probably be the first to say that. But he's a good man; been good to his first wife, Linda, his children, [& now grandchildren], AND his fans. WHY CAN'T he find & enjoy another good relationship?!!! Meanwhile other high-profile, [and not so], people, blithely prance thru life thinking only of themselves, leaving a loooong trail of misery behind them. With no seeming up-commence. Paul deserves sooooooo much better than this !!!
