Who would you nominate for the next President of the United States, and why?

Al Gore, just to prove that it would have been just as bad with him for 8 years.

I'm still a fan of Ross Perot. Too bad he has gotten too old. Otherwise, I think I would nominate Hillary Clinton....but the thing that worrys me about her is that Bill has developed such a close relationship with the Bush family....we don't need more of them!

I still like J.C. Watts ® Oklahoma, even though he retired 4 years ago. He had an incredibly bright future had he stayed the course. But alas, the truly smart ones usually don't.

Being an Oklahoman I can tell you that J.C. was one of the most crooked politicians to come out of Oklahoma in a long time. Nice guy, good football player, but that's it.

I think it's time we had an intelligent president. Someone who can at least articulate a vision instead of spitting out cliches, rhetoric, and made up words. Maybe people would actually pay attention to that person and maybe be motivated to help society and the world. I think the people motivated by Bush are the same ones who are motivated by Jerry Springer and Pat Robertson.

So "stay the course", "they hate us for our freedoms" and "hunt down the evil doers" is getting a bit tiring, you say? :D

I hope the next one they "play" is the little tune entitled....

"We're closing our borders, putting a blanket over the Statue of Liberty, drilling our own oil in our own country, and we'll see everybody in 3 years." and get the affairs of the U.S. in order before we take on the troubles of the rest of the world anymore! B)

Intelligent visions do not fit well into 3 second sound bites. Woodrow Wilson was exceptionally intelligent, and his speeches used to bore people to death.

Intelligence rarely gets good ratings.

I can personally say he is an all around nice guy. I know him personally and that makes me a bit prejudiced. My daughter and his son Wade (now deceased) were friends. I have known the Edwards family for many years. They are good people.

Jerry Springer is actually very politically astute and sensible. It's a pity he will be forever linked with his tv show. But that's a choice he made.

I don't think they'll be willing to give him a third chance. After all, in the words of George W. Bush,

"There's an old saying in Tennessee - I know it's in Texas, it's probably in Tennessee - that says, fool me once, shame on ... shame on you. It fool me. We can't get fooled again."

I think that says it all.

I couldn't vote for Guiliani or McCain. I wouldn't vote for Gore either or Hillary.

I could vote for John Edwards. My nephew worked on his campaign in 2004 and said he was great, with some great ideas.

Marrying an American no longer gives you citizenship. You still have to go through the long arduous process to gain that. An English friend of mine lives in the states and is married to an American, their daughter is an American but she is still English.

HELL YEAH!!!!!!! I'd vote for them in a heartbeat!! LOL!

How about me? I could raise some money (also help send me to law school!! I start in two weeks!!).

In all honesty, I'd like to see someone who is smart, aware of the world, has home front matters at heart and just knows what the right thing to do is. Sadly, that will never come about (unless I run!).

Too bad Teddy Kennedy f*cked up his chances over 30 years ago...tisk....
