Round 114: TOP 5 MOVIES BASED ON HISTORICAL EVENTS
Breaker Morant
Inherit the Wind
Apollo 13
Anzacs*
Saving Private Ryan*

* Not sure if those two qualify since they're fiction characters in a faithful presentation of historical events. I'll amend the list if necessary.
Put a puppet on it.

Round 115: TOP 5 BOND MOVIES

I haven't posted on this thread before, but I can't resist this one--I used to love James Bond movies; now they are guilty pleasures (I see too much misogyny and unnecessary violence in them--I'm old).

1. Dr. No (1962)--really, any of the Sean Connery Bonds could be my #1
2. On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969)--the most underrated Bond movie
3. Diamonds Are Forever (1971)--the 1st Bond movie I saw, it has nostalgic value for me
4. Casino Royale (2006)--LOVE Craig's Bond, looking forward to the next one
5. Tomorrow Never Dies (1999)--Brosnan was great as Bond, this one's my favorite

I agree with Ms. R's Honorable mention going to Never Say Never Again, the real Thunderball. I would also mention the Peter Sellers version of Casino Royale.
I took my brains out and stretched 'em on a rack
Now I'm not so sure I'm ever gonna get 'em back

2. Discovery One [2001: A Space Odyssey] - Probably what future spacecraft will really be like. And it's got HAL9000.
3. Patrol Craft [The Day the Earth Stood Still] - Right after this movie came out flying saucer sightings became all the rage.
4. Spaceball I [Spaceballs] - An incredibly large transformer that can vacuum the air out of planets. It also leaves a plaid vapour trail, which is a pretty good trick at parties.
