So, what did you do this past weekend or your day off wherever it falls in the week? Something fun or boring or kick back and relaxing?

We had 3 birthday parties at our house. My granddaughter and grandson turn 5. And my son-in-law turned 40. Everyone went swimming and we bar-b-qued outside.

And then my two middle children ages 29 and 33 butted heads because my son said a Teachers degree is one of the easiest degrees to get. And that a woman on tv was complaning she only made $80,000.00 a year as an elementary school teacherAnd she felt he was insulting her husband who has a double teaching degree in science and Physical Education. And has his Master degree also. So daughter was defending her husband.......and my know it all son(and he quit bright, just not street smart) likes to being arrogant especially with her (she has a lot of street smarts) Oh the joy to be a parent!

PEACE and love to my friends, Judy

I took some visitors on tours of Highgate Cemetery on Saturday, and yesterday I did as little as possible.

Friday night I had a nice quiet girls nite at home with my 2 little ones (while my hubby was down in the Keys)... I took them to Dairy Queen on my way to the liquor store! That's fair! :P Saturday we went to my bother's house for my niece's 5th birthday (hey, when are your Grandkids' birthdays?) Hers is Tuesday 7/25. Yesterday, I made up for all the work I didn't do during the week - laundry, cleaning, dishes... ya know, the fun stuff! Oh, the pleasures of being a fulltime worker/Mom/Homeowner.

Friday a quiet night in with a friend and a couple of glasses of wine.
Saturday a family birthday party (40th) saw lots of people I hadn't seen in ages.
Sunday long lie in - shopping cooking laundry and a walk down by the beach. :)

Well, here's another clue for you all, the Walrus was Paul...
I had a quiet weekend at home. I guess I really wasn't in the mood to socialize...but quiet is good.

In Paul's Arms!
It was to damned hot and humid to do much. Saturday night we went out to dinner and the thermometer read 97 at 10 pm!! Sunday it was still very hot and sweaty but braved the weather to see The Fab Four play. I think a lot of us felt like passing out but they are worth it. Just had lots of water to drink and water to douse with. Get home around 1030 Sunday night and we were in the middle of a 5 hour power outage. Fortunately I wasn't home but unfortunately my boyfriend was and he would not light any candles for me to be able to see when I got home, GRRRR!!!!! Just to hot and miserable.

Is that a special cemetery? Do you ever do head grave rubbing on old headstones?

Just did a GOOGLE search. here's a link. Very interesting.

Sing the Changes
Friday and Saturday were in Boston. Saturday evening, I went to the Boston airport and made my way back home. Got in the door about 2:30 AM and into bed about 3:30 AM. Bright and early Sunday morning--at 6 AM when the alarm usually goes off, two cats wanted to be fed. I fed them just before I went to bed in hopes of outsmarting them, but it was not to be. Yesterday, I tried to recover from no sleep so I could go to work today, which I did.

Last Friday I was on the London meet with my wife and fellow Beatle fans and had a very nice time,as can be read elsewhere on here.
Saturday we went by train to Bournemouth,a seaside town on the South coast of England. By the time we arrived the storm had passed, the sun was out again and spent a pleasent few hours outside a pub eating and drinking.
Sunday was a day of lazing around, doing nothing! :D
With every mistake we must surely be learning.

Ah. The "Official"(tm) site. They don't like to show too much on there. I'd be more than happy to post some photo's if anyone wants.

Fry:

Love to see any photos you have, don't think I'm odd but I like old cemeteries. Not sure where it would be appropriate for you to post them but I guess you could start a topic for it...

On Saturday I went to the local indoor pool with my friend Susan, her twin girls (15 months old), my girl and hubby. Sunday I cleaned the house in preparation for my niece's visit. Bleh. But at least it was quiet, as Pat and Grace were out of the place attending yet another kid birthday party.

Awww....I'm sorry about that. I hope it wasn't anything too serious. What a good grandson you must be.

I do hope she's out and feeling better.

I AM THE BIGGEST JOHN FAN!
Today is Wednesday and I have finally recovered from the weekend. Had 3 parties to attend Saturday and Sunday, and was so worn out that all I`ve done for the last 3 days is sleep and sit and sleep and sit some more. I know it couldn`t have had anything to do with the Coconut Rum I was drinking.
You say you want to save humanity but it`s people that you just can`t stand
John came to me in a dream and this is what he said. "I had a vision of a man on a flaming pie, and he told me that Betsy with a B not Lisa with a L is the biggest fan of mine". John trumps 'the boss' !

I WAS ROBBED BY THAT DEVIL WOMAN

Well, in my eyes, she is THE Carol King, but not the singer from the '70s that you may be thinking of. This Carol is about 6 feet tall and beautiful, as well as sweet. Just ask Anna (tinybubbleca). ;)
