That was a very well-written assessment of RAM, Andy, and one which I agree with. I remember Paul saying, and I paraphrase, that he threw everything but the kitchen sink with this album, and could not understand why it was not critically acclaimed at the time. Of course, in hindsight, it has become a standard. To my ears, it shows that Paul can produce a great album when he wants to. He took his time with this and the production quality shines. I feel his best work is when he puts time into a project rather than off-the-cuff material (Read: the last Fireman album). Of course, your review helps. I gave you a vote. Wonderful, and thanks! |
