I have a question. Often when there are age gaps in relationships it is the guy who is older. I have a friend who's mother is 8 years older than her father. Now that is often frowned upon. Why does society accept men being older but not always the other way round?

Prejudice. Ignorance. Society was built by men, thatīs why. The same way when you turn on the TV there are many sexual object women shaking their butt, never men...

Interesting, huh?

You're not alone LovelyRita. I was 15 when I became a Beatles fan so I never looked at Paul as being attractive, he was way too old for me, still is. It's always been about the music for me.

~Mary~

I think Paul has aged really well...obviously hes not as 'cute' as he once was...but for a man his age...I think hes good looking.

I used to think Paul was WAYYYY too old for me, too...when I was a teenager and he was in his 30s...but turns out that I am probably a bit too OLD for him now! How in the WORLD did that happen????????

Hes to old for me too.I'm 19.But it doesnt stop me.I think its alright to say if they are good looking.I mean I still think Sean Connery is great and hes a good 10 years older than Paul.

My friends seem to think I like old men,but I just sort of glide past the their old enough to be my grandad bit.

Although I must add it was Paul's music and Sean's acting which got me loving them as opposed to their looks
I'm a BIGGER Beatles fan than you and I'm an even BIGGER Wings fan than that...
'You're a Paul McCartney fan? No you're a Wings fan'. 'Thankyou Scotland' Ho Hey Ho...

speaking of age gaps I think I would find Paul more attractive as he is now if he was grey and didnt dye his hair.Watching him during Anthology and stuff he still looked hot but when I see him with dyed hair I find him less attractive

Am I one of the only people who doesn't find Paul attractive at all any more? His baby face just doesn't translate well into old age I guess. :hmm:

Yes.

Well at first I never saw it but up until around 2000ish he was still hot.It was just all this dying his hair crap took the cuteness away.He hasnt aged as well as some people but I still like him :D

Of course I still like him, I just don't find him all that attractive anymore.

Me too - I used to think he was a real stud muffin... but now I'm afraid I'd have to kick him out of bed. :(

Kick him my way, wouldya?

Y'know, my husband is 4 years younger than me...never underestimate the attraction of the YOUNGER man! :D

I have to agree though that Paul is not one who's aged well...cute seldom does in men...but Ringo on the other hand who is older than Paul looks better than ever!

Phooey...he is cute!! Even my 19 year old daughter will concede to that. Of course, she probably does just to shut me up. What the hell does she know anyway - she thinks Ozzy Osbourne and Regis Philbin are cute.

Guess we all have different definitions of cute.

I have to admit, Ringo looks fantastic at 66...hard to believe he's that age!

Yeah for sure, Yoko does look great. I showed my co-workers some pics from the LOVE premiere and they all think she had a boob job. I told them, no, I don't think so as she was always pretty well endowed. Besides, those push up/wonder-type bras are amazing!

I feel ya. I do think, though, it can partly be attributed to the rate at which women mature which is usually quicker than that of men.

I do, however, have a big problem with how older men are considered so desirable and older women become disposable. Women have so much pressure on them to have a certain body type but men can look like anything and still be very much in the game for young ladies. :hmm: I hope that Andy and I can grow with and appreciate each other later in life.

I would have no problem dating a younger man, theoretically. But I would have to wait a few years. At this point, it is hard to meet a younger man who does not begin sentences with, "Dude".

In regards to age, the great Benjamin Franklin once said that "All women look the same in the dark." ;)

In regards to age, the great Benjamin Franklin once said that "All women look the same in the dark."  ;)

In his case, they all probably looked "better" in the dark.
He, also, told a group of young boys to 'always date older women if they wanted to have great sex'. As we know, saying such things is why he never became president. Can you imagine his inaugural address, "my fellow Americans, it is better to teach our young sons the qualities of sexual maturity that only our elder women can provide, lest leaving them to the ignorant tender mercies of our female youth. Yet, teaching them always, to keep the lamps and candles burning very, very low".

You know you're right. I am still amazed at what great shape Yoko is in, she actually looks BETTER than when she was younger. I think, in part, it's probably due to the fact that she is very active and motivated in her career and that's probably very fulfilling for her.

My husband is 10 years younger than I am. The only time I ever notice it or think about it, is when we are listening to music. He can listen to some real garbage! We both love to do all the same things, and frankly, most often we opt to not go out with friends, because we prefer each others company. Many evenings we just stay home and crawl into bed and read. YES...I said read!

I don't care how old or young you are, age makes no difference when two people are mutually compatible.

Yes, I see what you mean. But, I bet Dr. Surgeon helped (not that there's anything wrong with that). I'll also bet she can do things that would make a chipmunk blush.

It's known that Asians hold their age very well - Yoko looks about twenty years younger than she is, and I think it's down to good genes rather than the scalpel! :)

My partner and I enjoy eachothers' company in that way as well, just relaxing together. And the age thing isn't an issue at all. I love his maturity and kindness.

Yeah, Dr. Surgeon could very well have helped but I'd wager he or she didn't need to help much. My mom's the same age and no surgeon could have her looking like that.

Make a chipmunk blush? Excellent! :D
