seriously - it was a very good day  I wanted you to post your experience and I thought you would of warned people NEVER to have me as a tour guide lol :P we should of worn the step counters - we would easily have done over the recommended 10,000 steps for the day lol :P :P

I'm thinking Paul wasn't in.I detoured past his on Sunday before I caught my coach home at about 9pm and there were no lights on(that really sounds like I was stalking him)

Very cool day on Saturday. With the exception of the rain of course  It was lovely meeting people and not getting weird looks when discussing Macca/The Beatles (well until I referred to Paul as a tool,I love him really) and wondering around looking at the sights
I'm a BIGGER Beatles fan than you and I'm an even BIGGER Wings fan than that...

PART II

Ok, on Saturday at about 1pm met up with a bunch of the coolest Beatles fans, Andy, Fiona, Dani, and Jim. We met at Piccadilly Circus and headed over to where the Beatles played live for their rooftop concert. We sat there and wondered what it must have been like all those years ago. Would have been so cool to hear them rockin from the roof. After a little discussion about that and the cops who told them to stop, we continued on our journey.

We next visited the house where Paul lived with the Ashers. I don't think they get alot of fans stopping by because when one of the residents left she looked at us as if we were out to rob the place. The house was interesting and we went around back to see where Paul would climb out on the roof and over to the next door neighbors house to escape the fans.

Next stop was the site of the old Apple Boutique. After the excitement of looking at this building we decided to get a drink. The first place was closed so we went to another down the street. Both their names escape me but I'm sure somebody will fill us in. Anyways we sat outside drinking and discussing what a great time we were having when we decided to head over to the Beatles Store.

Now the Beatle Store is overpriced but it does have some cool souveniers. I purchased a Let It Be Mug while Dani bought a Sleeping With The Beatles pillowcase. Andy and Fiona got a cool address book and if you play your cards right they will add you I'm sure.

Afterwards we went back towards the pub we had went to first and thats when Andy realized that Bill had called. To be honest don't know if Andy called him back or if Bill called again but soon the phone was being passed around and we were all getting a chance to say hello to Bill. We were then joined by Robert (I think) and we all chatted over drinks.

Then off to Cavendish and the house of Sir Paul. We got there to find that fans were now leaving graffitti on Paul's wall. I can see doing that at Abbey Road but not at his home. Of course, if he does give it to Heather then we will bring the spray paint next time. During our wait for a Sir Paul sighting the drizzle of the day turned into rain and an Abbey Rd visit was decided against. It was decided that we should get dinner and that when we said our goodbyes to Robert (I hope thats his name). We headed for Pizza Express where we were joined by Lauren. Good food, great conversation and good friends made an excellent day.

*if any of this is the wrong order well sue me. :P

Paul said in the Billboard interview for MAF that there will be no tour this year. Come to Vegas with us, Irene.

Tony, I can't believe people are writing on Paul's wall at his house. I have spent hours there, but never, ever considered writing on it. I've seen writing on the street sign and, of course, at Abbey Road, but not on Paul's wall.

Where did they move Eleanor Rigby's statue? I used to be able to walk right to it.

Glad you had a great time, Tony.

Linda - the statue was/well is situated at the end of mathew street but whilst they were building the 'met quarters' (posh shops) they moved the statue to behind Cavern Walks (a little alleyway inbetween there and BHS), they have now moved her back to her proper 'home'

PART 1
In Liverpool I fell under the spell of some delightful witches, and their kind hearted mother. Why Jayne refers to the girls as witches is beyond me. They are smart, kind, and considerate and full of youthful energy. They are beautiful girls and Jayne has done them well.

Anyways, met Jayne at the train station and we walked over to Mathew Street. We did wave to a camera but I am not sure if it was a webcam or CCTV, which seem to be everywhere. Had drinks at the Cavern Club and chatted a bit. Was pretty cool to be in a place where McCartney once performed. Afterwards we went looking for Eleanor Rigby (the statue) and found that she had been moved. Took a picture of it and it will be posted soon.

Then off to Albert Dock. The Beatles Story is there and picked up a few souvenirs. We then headed over to the highlight of my Liverpool tour, LIPA. George, gotta say you are the man! George aka Lipa gave us a tour of the school and it was so cool! From the Linda McCartney originals hanging on the walls to the recording studios everything was perfect. George really is a great tour guide, once a gain thanks! (Eddie Murphy, who knew?)

Tony it was a pleasure, glad you liked the place, nice to meet you and Jayne remember when we went in the Auditorium I pointed out the sound desk, well that was the pic of my old Avatar here yer go :D

What a great write up Tony, thanks! :)

There's not a great deal I can add to Tony's accurate description of the day other than that it was a very enjoyable meet-up from our perspective. Our thanks go out to Jim, Dani, Tony, Robert & Lauren for turning up & making the day a success!

I was going to get round to writing up the day eventually, so you've saved me a task. :)

Roll on next time! ;)
...and in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.

George, is your current avatar the stairs outside the auditorium? Next time I get to Liverpool, will you and Jayne take me on a tour of LIPA? I donated enough money to help get that place built and I want to find my plaque on my stair. I have seen my chair, but had to endure a horrid play to do it.

I took the gravestone picture in 2003. They are talking about the Eleanor Rigby statue near Matthew Street that had been moved. I have sat beside her to have my picture taken, as I am one of the lonely people.

Unfortunately we didn't have the time to do that. Our coach driver had to get us back onboard.

Yes it's a shot of the main door into the Paul McCartney Auditorium and either side are the stairways leading up to the balcony of the Theatre B)

Yes id love to show round the building, you wouldn't recognise it from the first time you seen it being rebuilt.

On our 10 year anniversary, we had a big party, with lots of VIP's there, at one stage during all the proceedings, Paul was on stage telling of how it came about and had his audience captured, like he doe's, anyway he was saying after the building was nearly finished Mark our CE informed Paul that they (he and the council) was going to name the Auditorium after Paul, Paul was laughung his head off saying,. your not, can you......................... Oh go on then he said he was proud to have it named after him, so if Paul's proud, then Im proud to show people around. :P
