I will, Tony. I think we'd get along fine. You let me know your plans, too. Just don't go from January 1-April 15. I know I can't go then.

hey you guys, don't want to horn in on your plans but if Paul only tours Europe, I'm going. It is my birthday pressie to myself. So Linda if you don't want to go alone maybe we can work something out. I don't mind going alone but it sure is a lot more fun with somebody else.

Irene, we can do that. I will go to the UK alone, but not to countries where I don't speak the language. I had a really bad experience in Paris because I didn't speak French and I will never repeat that experience--even for Paul. So, I only travel alone to safe countries--like the UK and Canada alone.

Plus, it would be more fun with you and Tony.

Sounds good, count on me. I have traveled all over the world alone. SOme good experiances, some not so good. I won't let them stop me but I must admit last time I was in London alone I was a bit nervous walking the streets at night. I'm not a young brazen chick anymore!!! Any particular country you would be interested in?

Ms Peel, I'll be 50 too but not till July. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do not like Paris. Almost got raped there. Long story. I can tell you about it when we meet. Anywhere but Paris, I will go.

Yes, the more the merrier. Gaye and Irene, we could share rooms and keep the cost down. Sorry, Tony.

Not a fan of Parisians but think the city of Paris is beautiful. I'd love anywhere in Italy or Amsterdam. Dublin or Edinburgh would be ok too. Germany, eh. I've never been to Spain. SO I have my wish list but honestly Liverpool would be my first choice.

Liddypool, would be my first choice. I have always enjoyed Amsterdam immensely. Would not mind Dublin or Edinburgh either. Or London. Munich or Frankfurt would be great. Never been to Rome, but my nephew did a semester there and hated it. Never been to Spain. I do like Lyon and Nice.

The city of Paris is beautiful, but the near rape on the banks of the River Seine where I was rescued by Americans means I will not travel there alone.

OK fingers crossed for Liverpool!!!!! Maybe Heather will meet some handsome younger rich movie maker who will promise to star her in a film and whisk hre off her feet so Paul can make tour plans!!!!!

Yeah, I missed both of those and I can't figure out why? Hmmm had a baby in '90. Must of slept through 03' . If he does it this year I am there for sure!!!! I did go to Liverpool a few years ago and it was like making a pilgramige. I was only there 1 day so my next trip to the UK I will spend more time there. Actually this is the 50 year anniversary of John meeting Paul at the fete. So hard to believe!!!!!

You would probably have a better time without me. I am incredibly cheap when it comes to hotels, only do the hostels if I can.

Anyways if Paul only tours Europe we can all hang together in either London or Liverpool.

Did you see what Paul said in Billboard. Doesn't look like any kind of tour this year.

Q: And are you planning to go back on the road?
A: I'm going to do some little bits and pieces to support the album, but it
won't be a major tour until possibly next year, and that's basically down to
personal circumstances -- "he said" (laughs).
Q: Touring is obviously something you still enjoy.
A: I do love it, and while the audience seems to love it, I will. All that
singing and playing -- it's good for you.
Reuters/Billboard

Tony, you might teach me how to do London on the cheap, although I am not staying in a hostel. ;)

So, who's actually coming? :)

I am working all day on the 26th and have been in demand from both Wembley and Twickenham stadiums for this date. I may be able to manage something in the evening for a short while but I am working the following day so don't want to be out late.

due to bad medical news i went to the pub so dfinitely will not make it.

ps citizens advice beuruau will be making an appointment with regards to suing the fookers, the so called surgeon was an outside temp appointent (ask sandra how many fook ups they have made ta tony blair). and no i wasn't the only present in the consultation.

no my broken elbow circa 1995 wasnt in my head, pleaase refer to the correct treatment two weeks later and subseqeunt operation in march this year, no my gallbadder was'ntin my head either please refer to the five stones i have in my procession, no my hernia operation was fooked up please refer after numerous requests to find the mesh had beeen folded over a nerve.

so yes dear nurse when you have had a broken elbow for 24 hours before going for treatment, or indeed a bad gallbadder for ten months we do not have a LOW threshold for pain.

how i wish i had never stoppeed patients from hitting nurses circa 80/81, but then again i would be an uncaring selfish left wing/liberal b*stard. Hint someone who has low blood pressure ( so fooking bad that after operations you take five times and record it but ignore requests for a drip does not come around quickly, and therefore does not respond to shouting.

Nurses pile of shite the last twenty years oh we want respect we want degreee status but we forget the meanihng of the word.

in the last two months after numerous requests i have finally got the complaints deptartment and the fooker who cocked up the op.

London Meet-Up

Saturday 26th May, 2007

We'll be meeting at 12:45-1pm by the fountain & statue of Eros outside Piccadilly Circus tube station and then taking a short walk to 3 Savile Row, the old HQ of The Beatles' Apple offices and site of the infamous rooftop concert.

After that, we'll take a short journey to 57 Wimpole Street in Marylebone where Paul lived with the Ashers and wrote Yesterday, Eleanor Rigby and also I Want To Hold Your Hand with John.

From there, we'll make our way to Baker Street, to the site of the Apple Boutique and also for a visit to The Beatles Store - we'll then stop for refreshments in JD Wetherspoon's Metropolitan Bar which is where the second meeting place of the day will be at 4pm.

There we'll take a vote as to what we'd like to do with the remainder of the day - options include Abbey Road, Marylebone Registry Office and Cavendish Avenue plus, of course, for those who are interested, where to eat dinner. I'll research some local options. ;)

The pace of the day will be leisurely and although I don't know exactly what the weather will be doing, the BBC forecast a cloudy but bright day with some light rain showers. It would also be a good idea to bring water. :)

Just show up or PM Fiona and I to get the mobile phone number which we will be using on Saturday in case you need to get hold of us on the day. Looking forward to it! :yahoo:
...and in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.

The museum is next door to the Beatles store - it's owned by the same person. I don't know if it's still open, but I don't see why not. It's a smallish gallery-type museum with a lot of interesting merchandise, some original Stu Sutcliffe drawings and lots of posters/promo stuff. It's well worth a visit, but it's not exactly a major attraction.

It was definitely open in February. It's worth the pound you pay but nothing great. Even the beatles store is pretty small, what with it being in London and all. I'm seriously in love with the new Rubber Soul bags, though; I had spent all my money on books last time I was there and couldn't afford them so I only bought this one instead:

I'll give you a rundown of our day a bit later - I'm a little tired right now.

Suffice to say, it was a very enjoyable day with great company... and a surprise phone call in the middle of it all. :)
...and in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.

Tony emailed me the first day he arrived in the UK.

I'm sure your witches at McDonald's were a lot of fun for Tony. :D

You as a tour guide had to be better than the cabbie I hired to take me to Eleanor Rigby's grave and he had no idea of where it was and didn't care.

I did get the jerk to take me to the church. I had to tell him where it was and all the way there, the cabbie was telling me that he didn't like Paul. This was when I was there for the Liverpool concert on June 1, 2003. Then when we get out there, the cabbie wants to know if I want him to stay. How else did he think I was getting back to the hotel? Needless to say, I did not give him a tip and told him exactly why.

i am male therefore i am a jerk though age has lessened the degree somewhat but i occassionally revisit my childhood.

I may have been taken the long way to the church. He may have gotten me on that, but he also got an earful and no tip. I kept wondering why he was in the taxi line right outside a hotel full of Paul fans.

I want to go to Liverpool again. I went August 2005 last time so maybe August 2007? A great city, yet I was there for a short time.

HOME AT LAST!

Well my great England adventure of 2007 is over, damn it! Had a blast, met some new friends and connected with old ones.

PART 1
In Liverpool I fell under the spell of some delightful witches, and their kind hearted mother. Why Jayne refers to the girls as witches is beyond me. They are smart, kind, and considerate and full of youthful energy. They are beautiful girls and Jayne has done them well.

Anyways, met Jayne at the train station and we walked over to Mathew Street. We did wave to a camera but I am not sure if it was a webcam or CCTV, which seem to be everywhere. Had drinks at the Cavern Club and chatted a bit. Was pretty cool to be in a place where McCartney once performed. Afterwards we went looking for Eleanor Rigby (the statue) and found that she had been moved. Took a picture of it and it will be posted soon.

Then off to Albert Dock. The Beatles Story is there and picked up a few souvenirs. We then headed over to the highlight of my Liverpool tour, LIPA. George, gotta say you are the man! George aka Lipa gave us a tour of the school and it was so cool! From the Linda McCartney originals hanging on the walls to the recording studios everything was perfect. George really is a great tour guide, once a gain thanks! (Eddie Murphy, who knew?)

After this most excellent tour Jayne and I headed to get some food. We stopped in this little place and I had what she had. What it was I'm not sure and maybe I really don't want to know. Spending time with Jayne was more important anyways. We then headed for her car to get the girls. As I already said they are delightful kids and certainly added a different element to the tour. In the car they entertained me with riddles I couldn't get. (except one - What demands an answer but never asks a question? - I thought my answer was spot on. :P With kids in tow Jayne took my to Lennon Airport, Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields, and John and Paul's childhood homes. All in all an excellent day!
