In Paul's Arms!
|
Having come back from my Church where a lot of the Church members are gay and are attending a gay pride festival I see this story. When are we humans ever going to learn that we have to learn to live with each other regardless of our sexual orientation, political leanings, race, creed, or color? This kind of sh*t makes me very angry. Four charged in hate crime attack on gay singer Four youths were charged with a hate crime assault on a gay singer who was attacked as he left a Manhattan gay bar, police said on Sunday. Kevin Aviance, 38, who scored No. 1 dance hits on the Billboard charts with "Da Da Din" and more recently "Alive" in 2003, was attacked late Saturday and kicked by four youths who called him "faggot." He suffered head trauma and was in stable condition in a Manhattan hospital, where he was being treated for his injuries. Police charged four young people aged 16 to 20 with hate crime assault and hate crime harassment. They were being held pending arraignment, police said in a statement. Aviance told the New York Post from his hospital bed that he was especially distraught by the assault because he had been scheduled to perform at a host of gay pride events next week in advance of the city's Gay Pride march on June 25. "I'm supposed to be doing all this stuff. With my jaw wired shut, what can I do?" he was quoted as saying. Aviance, born Eric Snead in Richmond, Virginia, told the paper his attackers kicked him in the head a dozen times during the early morning assault in Manhattan's East Village. "They kicked me in my back, they kicked in my knees. They just kept kicking," he said. A friend of famous singers like Janet Jackson and Madonna, Aviance has appeared on Tyra Banks' television shows and has performed at parties for Whitney Houston and Lil' Kim. |

I agree, but this isn't the first time I've heard about such a horrible crime, it's happened before!
You see what hatred and ignorance will produce? I'm always just horrified when I hear about people treating one another this way because they can't learn to live and let live and leave people alone! It's a dark and shameful crime! I hope Kevin Aviance will recuperate fully and press charges against the criminals that perpertrated this! Merry |

This man isn't that well known. Ever hear of Mathew Shepard before his murder? He became a national and international story when he was found bound to a fence a couple of days after his beating. He wasn't well known then and he was still alive. But, I agree with you about how many have had to deal with this. It's a shame that in the US, a country who professes to be Christian, that we can't learn tolerance. We can learn how to hate but to learn tolerance is much harder. I grew up where one side of my family hated people of differing class, race, and creed. They hated the people that my mother came from, Mexicans/latinos. My own father hated latinos. No idea how my mom and dad ever got together as to the last time I saw him, he hated the race still. I have seen what prejudice is like and wish we can all learn to not love one another but to at least like one another. Going to a Church where at least half of the congregation is gay really opens your eyes as to what goes on. Marching in the gay pride festivals and seeing people who want to go to Church only to have the doors slammed in their faces because of their sexual orientation or to see people who want to be with their families only to be shut out is quite emotional. We have had people run up to us and thank us for giving them a reason to live. After that happens than we see at the end of the parade the religious right saying we will burn in hell for having gay people go to my Church. Yeah, that's really being a Christian. |

I AM THE BIGGEST JOHN FAN!
|
I happen to be one of those people who believe that you are born with your sexual orientation and it is not a choice. So I have never been able to understand the argument that so many christians use to say that homosexuals are a sin against nature and God. How could God goof like that. I think if there is a God then he must love us all and what sex we prefer shouldn`t matter. |
|
You say you want to save humanity but it`s people that you just can`t stand John came to me in a dream and this is what he said. "I had a vision of a man on a flaming pie, and he told me that Betsy with a B not Lisa with a L is the biggest fan of mine". John trumps 'the boss' ! I WAS ROBBED BY THAT DEVIL WOMAN | |

Before anyone jumps on me for this, let me just say that I have no problem with homosexuality or otherwise. My own mother is gay. But doesn't it say somewhere in the Bible - "Man shall not lay down with man"? |

Ah yes, I'd forgotten that: 'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman: that is detestable'(Lev18:22) the same book in the bible also says: 'Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material' (Lev 19:19) Leviticus (in the Old Testament) is stuffed full of decrees for the infant Israel nation to set them apart from the other nations around them (which God regarded as immoral). Some of it is commonsense and some of it is baffling in todays' age. |

Now I am really going to hell. I cannot post it here because I do not have it, but I remember seeing a picture from some protest or another where someone had a sign that read, "God hates fags". Across the aisles, someone else had a sign that read, "God loves fags. God hates assholes". |

God Does Hate Fags You will find many nice things in this website. Go to "See photos of epic events" to feel proud you are a human being. In general, I think this is the most amusing website ever created. I live with the hope they're joking, but unfortunately there are too many pictures to prove otherwise. |

Unfortunately they're not joking. I believe they were the fuckers who protested AT Mathew Shepard's funeral holding signs saying God Hates Fags and Fags Burn in Hell right in front of Mathew's mother and father. I can't tell you the anger I feel towards their depicable and cowardly act. they are a small Church from Houston that preaches this sh*t. Here is their website on Mathew Shepard. mathew shepard memorial my ass I urge you all to see a movie called The Laramie Project. It's all about how the death of Mathew affected the city of Laramie, Wyoming. This was an HBO project and is very well done. It is Church's like these that almost makes me ashamed to be a Christian. Fortunately my Church is just the opposite. We welcome all baptized Christians be they straight, gay, lesbian, transgender, trans-sexual. We do have lots of gays and lesbians mixed in with the straights. Very cool and loving Church. |

Gotta love the last one. Julie Banderas really let that f*cking nutjob have it. You know there is a phrase for that Church and the reason why 80% of the members are family. It's called inbreeding. Something that is illegal in America. I'm sure that f*cking nutjob has a son but which of her brothers is the father. I'm sorry but these people really p*ss me off. How dare they insult God and America like that!! |
