1. When did you first hear Magical Mystery Tour? Approximately how old were you and was it the first Beatles album you'd heard?

Don't remember.

2. What do you think about the album - Is it one of your favourites?

Of course I like this album, but it's not necessarily one of my favorites.

3. If you care to, please rate the tracks out of 10 (1 being the lowest, 10 being the highest);

n/a

4. Which is your favourite and least favourite track? Please give reasons!

My least favorite is easily "Blue Jay Way." I can't really explain why, it just doesn't do it for me.

My favorite is easily "Strawberry Fields Forever." It was one of those songs I had heard OF forever, but had never heard until I really got into the Beatles and I can remember the first time I heard it. I was listening to their "blue album" (the 1967-1970 compilation), and it starts off with "SFF" and I was floored! I was like... :hyper: from the moment I first heard it and I've been in love ever since.

1. Magical Mystery Tour - 8
2. The Fool On The Hill - 10
3. Flying - 8

5. Your Mother Should Know - 9
6. I Am The Walrus - 10
7. Hello Goodbye - 9
8. Strawberry Fields Forever - 10
9. Penny Lane - 9
10. Baby You're A Rich Man - 8
11. All You Need Is Love - 9

4. Which is your favourite and least favourite track? Please give reasons!

Favorite is Blue Jay Way. It's the most unique Beatles song ever because it's so creepy and evil sounding. Listen to it in the dark and you may choose to not belong. While I love them all I'd say least favorite is Magical Mystery cause it's more of an intro than it's own song but still very good.

1. When did you first hear Magical Mystery Tour? Approximately how old were you and was it the first Beatles album you'd heard?

I would have first heard the film songs when I was 16/17 after watching the film. I bought the album on vinyl when I was 17 and CD aged about 19.

2. What do you think about the album - Is it one of your favourites?

This album has a lot to answer for, or at least the original EP has. Up to about thr age of 16/17 I was no great music fan then one day I happened to watch The Beatles film Magical Mystery Tour. I thought the film fantastic but imparticularly one song just amazed me, I Am The Walrus. I know my Mum had been an on/off Beatles fan in her teen years and had some stuff hidden away in her recorded collection, I was delighted to find that the EP of the film was among them (in fact it was the last Beatles record she bought). This EP dissapeared up to my room were it was played over and over again and I found myself getting so deep into these songs that within about six months of hearing it I had a complete set of Beatles albums on either vinyl or cassette. MMT started it all! The only draw back with this album now is I've heard it too many times, if only I could get my memory wiped so I could hear it as new again.

4. Which is your favourite and least favourite track? Please give reasons!

Well see above as to why I Am The Walrus is my favorite, it is the song that made me a Beatles fan. This album is such an embarresment of teasures that to say the words least favorite out loud would seem rude to the extend of imorral.

Yes, it's excellent - it contains the best Beatles single ever - Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields. I'm still annoyed that Englebert Humperdink's Please Release Me stopped The Beatles getting to number one in the UK! Some people have no taste. :P It's a classic. :D

I think it's hilarious that the greatest combined single of all time was beaten to the top spot by the song that went on to be the Jacobs cream cracker advert.
