Is Pete Best performing? He mentioned something about it when I saw him perform in Chicago.

I don't know about him performing Linda but I do know he normally goes to every fest

as for gerry - I think it is - i'm unsure  I'll find out for you though

People kept stopping me on Friday when I was wearing that shirt. I got it at the place where you buy the tickets for the National Trust tour of Paul and John's houses in Liverpool. They also had a Penny Lane one, but by the time I got there, it was sold out.

So, Jayne, Gerry is Gerry Marsden. I remember the first time I ferried cross the Mersey and they played the song for us.

I wish you could have gone, too, Merry.

There is a little story to go with the picture. When I went to line up for the signing on Friday evening, there was one guy waiting outside the room where Peter and Gordon were to sign. I asked if that is what he was there for and he said yes, so I stood behind him. We were talking and others started lining up behind us. Pretty soon Martin Lewis, one of the emcees, came and said he was going to set up the room. He unlocked the room and then said there are some chairs in here, so you can wait in here and sit down. A short while later, Gordon's wife arrived. We could hear her talking to Martin Lewis. She said that Peter has to get into his comfort zone before dealing with fans and he will panic if he comes and sees fans already in the room. So, Martin Lewis came over and said he supposed we had heard that and we had to go back outside, but no cheating on the places in line. We even helped him set up the table where they were selling Peter and Gordon CDs. The door stayed closed after they moved the table outside the room. Probably 20 minutes later, here came Gordon. Shortly, here came Peter. They were in the room about 15 more minutes before they opened the door for us to come in, so I guess Peter got into his comfort zone.

Gordon was much more talkative on an individual level, but Peter did very well telling his stories from the stage.

Only if the guys wear no pajamas and makeup.

Oops, reverse that. lol

John came to me in a dream and this is what he said. "I had a vision of a man on a flaming pie, and he told me that Betsy with a B not Lisa with a L is the biggest fan of mine". John trumps 'the boss' !

Nice pic with Peter and Gordon

I saw Gerry and the Pacemakers perform a few years ago. They were very good and Gerry told a few tales. :D
(BTW he and the late Linda McCartney shared the same birthday)

You like the picture, Fea?

I didn't know the Gerry Marsden and Linda McCartney shared a September 24 birthday.

Betsy, I like the idea of the guys coming in no pajamas and makeup.

Oh yes, I'm all in favor of having some guys join us, next year.

And I'd also like to agree, no pajamas and makeup for them sounds very good...count me in! ;)

Ladies: Here I am with some late comments after seeing all the photos -- all so nice and thanks so much for sharing them and your pleasant stories and happy times. I'm jealous. :P All sounds so fun.

Linda great photo of you and Peter and Gordon. I hope that you had a great time at the fest itself...though it sounds as though all the excitement was at Judy's house.

I spent two days at the Fest and there was plenty of action there, too. I have no regrets about going to the Fest itself. I don't think if it stays the way it is that it is something I want to do every year.
